For once a somewhat positive post regarding the relaxation of the ridiculous politically motivated prohibition of cannabis. However it was predictably hi-jacked by the very vocal and badly informed self appointed anti cannabis "community" If you don't like it just stay away from it and leave the rest of us to enjoy it in peace. Its legal now so you are just going to have to get over it as there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Far more constructive advice would be, if trying it for the first time take things easy, perhaps speak to an experienced smoker (there's plenty on here who I am sure would be willing to give advice) Personally I would recommend staying away from edibles at first as its difficult to judge intake. and just bear in mind that if trying alcohol for the first time it probably wouldn't be wise to start off by consuming a full bottle of scotch would it.

Covid extensions
Bday Prang replied to Kevinphall's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
i Will be going to immigration tomorrow to request a covid extension, however last night a friend emailed me saying he had heard that as from 22nd of june (this wednesday) the rules will be changing and they may only be giving a 30 day extension. I can't find anything to substantiate this and have not been able to contact him to ask where he heard it. I was wondering if anybody else has heard anything about this possibility. -

29 - 30k !!!! were on earth do you go ? -
Absolutely correct , a similar thing has happened already in most of the west where people are required to wear Hi-viz vests to denote there working class status The reason for this is ostensibly for "health and safety" reasons which is something that can NEVER be questioned. Many years ago working class people would wear a "working mans" cap which was subtlety different from a country gentleman's cap. Somethings never change

This website was subjecting posters to suspensions and bans if they posted anything that they considered controversial regarding Covid 19, and yet they feel justified in repeating this kind of rubbish. What purpose does it serve other than to fan the flames of "reefer madness" hysteria ! Is there one journalist or member of mainstream media anywhere with anything positive to say on this subject ? I can't help noticing that the views expressed by the media are completely at odds to the views of the majority of the general public, but seem to echo the views of a very vocal but misinformed minority. Why is that ?

I get your point, but on the other hand, could you imagine an expert marksman who had never fired a gun? Or an expert driver who had never sat in a car ? or an expert cook who had never been in a kitchen? or an expert fisherman who has never held a rod . Sometimes first hand experience is necessary to be considered an expert. The "experts" that will emerge over the coming weeks will mostly be nothing more than sensationalist scaremongers, reading from an old script, on a mission to stop people enjoying cannabis recreationally and to feed the media frenzy. If just one of these so called experts offered some practical advice, for example, to somebody thinking about smoking for the first time, I might change my mind but that's not going to happen Its going to be, as I said in my post, the same old rhetoric. Overdose (lol) blah blah Paranoia blah blah palpitations blah blah gateway drug blah blah with the underlying message being " don't do it" "just say no" (or if your English "just say no thank you") I wish i was wrong but I watched the news this morning and its already started, and have you noticed how many cannabis related threads have been started on this website by "webfact" as opposed to threads started by members. Prohibition can be ended overnight, but the misinformation that has been forced into peoples brains by various governments over the past 50 years will take a lot longer to forget

Oh rest assured there will be lots of them, all of them spewing out the same tired old negative rhetoric "refer madness " etc. Another thing they will have in common is that none of them will actually have any first hand experience of smoking cannabis, so they are not really experts at all are they ? However this doesn't matter as its the media that gives them the platform to express their ignorant outdated views and it suits them fine, because nothing gets the media in a frenzy as much as "drugs"

Presumably due to what they consider would be adverse publicity ? The bad publicity in this case would have been kept to a minimum had they not gone crying to the police and the media hadn't found out. It has now become national news of a salacious nature, ideal for the gutter press to express outrage and a few police and other uniformed individuals to do the same, not to forget the compulsory mention of the possible maximum punishments that may be handed out , presumably as a deterrent Call me cynical if you like, but maybe that's what they wanted, probably not so busy at present, and they do say there's no such thing as bad publicity, especially when its free
