Leave here on U.K. passport and enter/exit the country of choice with either passport and then come back into Thailand on your Irish passport. You'll loose your visa but will stay legal here and be free to renew your U.K. passport without penalty. Talk to VFS they will be able to advise how to renew your passport. Good luck.

Actually your visa may only be extended up to expiry date of your passport so get a move on. U.K. passport renewal is regularly quoted as 10-11 weeks. I can't answer the question as to what happens if your visa expires and you haven't received your new passport. Go chat with VFS and immigration then decide your get move. Good luck.

Renew your visa first which keeps you legal here. You didn't say what visa you have but if retirement then you can renew up to 45 days ahead of expiry date. Then submit your U.K. passport for renewal. As stated the embassy don't want anything to do with it and VFS are the assigned authorised agent and it looks like there is an office in Phuket. https://visa.vfsglobal.com/tha/en/ita/attend-centre/phuket

Chiang Mai Immigration Q & A - Info and reports. (2020)
Mahseer replied to JimmyJ's topic in Chiang Mai
My visa was up Sep 01 so thats as far as my 90 day went so 15 days. -
Streuth we're largely agreeing here and not one suggestion anywhere near Nimman. how refreshing. Yup We-La-Dee is a good one. Its 15 minutes out of town but worth the trek and yes La Fourchette is excellent food just a little tight on space and only open evenings. Your in Chiang Mai and likely staying close to town so go for Wanlamun Rim Nam for exquisite Thai. I doubt you'll be disappointed. https://www.facebook.com/wanlamuncm/

Chiang Mai Immigration Q & A - Info and reports. (2020)
Mahseer replied to JimmyJ's topic in Chiang Mai
Survived another annual immigration visit in fact all pretty painless and the kind people even updated my 90 day for me. Just 2 differences from last year one mentioned above is a phone number required on the back of the TM7 below your signature. The second I might have been advised of last year but failed to recall and its to do with passport copies. They are only interested in copy of your ID page + any page that has a Thai stamp on nothing else. Photo mine had royal blue background. Just one required. Place was busy at 1430 with 80% of chairs taken but I sat out on the veranda in front of a bloody great fan and for me far more comfortable plus you can hear numbers being called from there. Out in 2 hrs 10 which is longer than previous visits but no big deal. Finally check your stuff soon as returned. I was given 100baht change I didn't have coming and someones Krungsri bank book. Both returned. -
Fancy a steak? Le Bistro is just off Thapae and does a wonderful steak and other French delights. Italian food and fabulous wine selection appeal? Enoteca. Its 10 minutes out of town. Thai food would recommend Wanlamun Rim Nam. Its well smart and a touch pricey. Its beside the river in an excellent garden setting and worth the cost.

Chiang Mai Immigration Q & A - Info and reports. (2020)
Mahseer replied to JimmyJ's topic in Chiang Mai
No date at foot where you sign each page / Immigration page states blue background and photo to be 4x6cm. One critical thing if you are applying based on funds deposited immigration wants a letter from your bank stating you have the required funds and this and your passbook needs to be updated on the day you apply. The yearly statement is also required but doesn't have to be same day just recent. Bangkok Bank typically takes 5-7 days to prepare and its dated when you request not when you receive. I'm heading that way today minus an agent so will advise if any new rules have appeared. -

Thanks for posting the above. For Chiang Mai retirement renewal the 3 forms required are: 3. TM7 26. STM2 27. Overstay. The first 2 are the same as we use in Chiang Mai and the third form here has place for 2 signatures but the text is the same. -

Dr Vipawan at CM Ram is one option. https://zeekdoc.com/en/doctor/dr-vipawan-chantapanich-1338 -
I took the price from Google maps but now see it's the old LK photos so maybe incorrect. Location is the new.
-
Far from Saraphi but excellent location as heaps of traffic and few choices of restaurant aside from the hole in the wall types. 180baht is a steal.
-
No they've stopped them there. Mother and Child hospital off Changklan on 27th from 08-1200 only.
-
Khao Kho would be my choice. Highway 11 then 12 pretty much gets you there. Stunning scenery and its half way home.
