  1. No Sipolle fans out there? May not be the best but never been disappointed.
  2. Closed to foreigners has been for years. Chiang Khong will oblige.
  3. 5 times a day I believe but didn't stick around to count.
  4. Many moons ago I looked at Floral before buying at Rimping. Problem to me at Floral was the lay out but that was for a larger condo 150sq mts 2 bed. Far too much space wasted plus the balcony was smaller than what I was looking for and the unit I looked at was on the mosque side. I ended up buying a 160sq mtr 3 bedroom north facing unit with uninterrupted river and city views. Price for both units was the same all them years ago. The grounds of Floral are far superior to Rimping where the swimming pool is on the 6th floor and covered by floors above (read bloody cold) plus there are no outside areas to match those at Floral. Rimping has condos in the 100sq mtr range but I'm not up on rental prices but if you view make sure you stay away from the southern side which has traffic noise. There is an office at Rimping open 0800-1700 daily but they typically only show condos owned by the people who built and still own a number of condos but there are others posted beside the office as available. Both of these condos are in the 20-25 year old range which has massive benefits over the modern day shoe boxes for similar prices be it rental or purchase. Good luck
  5. D2 on Changklan has a Concept 2.
  6. Been to Myanmar a dozen times most recently earlier this month and can't relate to too much here: Hard to get to. 15 flights or so a day from Bangkok to Yangon and 2-3 to Mandalay. Additional from Chiang Mai to Yangon. Land border restricted to Kawthoung at present. Visa required. Yes and e visa a breeze with recent dropping of Covid & insurance requirements. 3 days tops to receive. Terrible food. Local food doesn't compare to Thai agreed but plenty of international options in Yangon plus there is the delights of Little India there. Admittedly far less options outside of main towns. Will get sick. Haven't yet and no history of reports on travellers forums unlike places like India. All that said tough to recommend the country due to ongoing atrocities but a trip to Yangon is always a delight. Love the place and back again October for a festival.
  7. Yes aware of colour fade but I take a fair few photos so if I get 6 months out of them I'm content and will go again but just need to locate an outfit that can produce a quality product. Largest banner is 2.90x.80mts.
  8. Hi folks, looking for an outfit to print my photographs onto vinyl banners and willing to pay for a quality product. Any recommendations? I did try one outfit not a million miles from Lotus Kamthieng but colours completely saturated so ready for attempt 2. Previously used a graphic design outfit that used to be on the first floor of Kad Suan Kaew near the cluster of banks but lost track of them once the centre closed. Thanks
  9. Pretty sure letter of the law states 'within 24 hours of arriving back in Thailand' or words to that effect. Think you'll find that to be correct in CM. TM30 can be reported online these days but you need to register to get a log in: https://chiangmai.immigration.go.th/en/front-page-english/?fbclid=IwAR181nuY0QsiH1YtEXjM0UTet0suJttRs_Imu3cRXACS_Ysip4yCctLLcPA#onlineservice-2
  10. Absolutely correct for Chiang Mai. Other immigration offices may abide by different interpretations of the rules.
  11. I did state earlier that I report in Chiang Mai and absolutely no surprise rules are different (interpretation) elsewhere.
  12. Each time you renter the first 90 day report has to be filed at immigration.
  13. In Chiang Mai the first 90 day report has to be filed at immigration office. Subsequent can be completed online provided you haven't exited the country. Same where you applied?
  14. Absolutely not. It's been closed since June and odds are it will be many a month before it opens to foreigners. If it's a visa run you are looking at then Laos is the destination of choice. Chiang Khong is 90 minutes east of Mae Sai. Flights to Rangoon from Chiang Mai if you are looking to visit.
  15. If they have finished their upgrades I'd say they are in bother. Playback is about impossible and live channels not much better. Pulse wasn't perfect for me but far superior to this inappropriately names shambles. What are the best alternatives?
  16. Mate has 2 children in international schools and each child allows for one guardian visa.
  17. Relpax 40mg is an eletriptan and used to be my saviour. Taken on first sign of migraine and kept the worst at bay but does not work for all. Good luck,
  18. Has anyone had plastic surgery with the above named doctor who is presently working at BPK 9 International hospital. I am considering some facial work (brow lift) and the above has been recommended. If not any other recommendations in Bangkok? thanks folks.
  19. Empress hotel used to be decent value but haven't been for many a day.
  20. No not familiar with that one. Aside from the two I mentioned the only other I know of is buried in the bowels of Muang Mai market and called India Spice Store. Excellent selection of spices and well worth a look if in the area. It's marked on Google maps.
  21. There is an Indian grocery just down from Star Visa on Wichayanon Road the road that runs along the side of the US Consulate. They have plenty of Indian tea choices both loose and ready mixed. If you are a masala chai fan go for the GeeBees brand which comes both sweetened and non. if you want to make your own they have most of the herbs there including green cardamom. Another source for herbs is the Indian place inside Kad Luang on the ground floor and there selection far surpasses that of the grocery place and they likely also sell loose tea.
  22. Both restaurant and hotel open.
  23. I own a condo and only update when I have a visa renewal due despite the fact I leave the country typically 4 times a year. Never a problem renewing visa and never queried as to why I hadn't updated each reentry. As to what the actual rule is well that depends on which immigration officer you speak to.
  24. Chiang Mai Ram hospital offers PRP. Quoted 50,000baht/injection. Passed.
