  1. Try Neo top end of Huay Kaew. http://neoentertainmentgallery.com/neoshop/?op=productsbybrand&typez=19
  2. Question is I believe arriving Chiang Mai not departing. When you transfer at BKK from international to domestic there is an immigration point with 3-4 desks and hopefully not the sort of queues we've seen reported recently.
  3. Ok this is what you need for LoR: Application form from tent or the lady. Passport & Photo 2"x2" Copy of: Passport ID page / entry stamp / visa / 90 day report / TM30. On the sign in front of immigration it doesn't mention copy of chanote/lease agreement but take along if you have. Should be it.
  4. If you are sure your paperwork is in order go straight to the first floor as directed and be greeted with a smile. If you are not sure get your papers checked in the tent first then proceed as stated. I was there last Tuesday and 2 people were in front of me. If you collect next day just give the receipt directly to the lady and you'll be out in a flash and with a smile of course.
  5. Go into the main building / turn to your right / enter last door on your left / go up one flight and there set behind a desk in the hallway you will find the lady in question.
  6. By the way the young lady who handles these is an absolute diamond. Sort of takes some of the pain of paying the 500baht for swift service.
  7. Airport only. 50baht and you will receive in the post in 7 days / 500baht next door service you collect. Submit before midday.
  8. Did you look at the Paleo Robbie link I posted above? They list wild sockeye, king, pink and coho but don't mention origin. Have only tried the gravlax which was well decent and the sockeye salmon fillet and again decent. Shipped frozen from Bangkok.
  9. In Bangkok Paleo Robbie sell wild salmon. https://paleorobbie.com/grocery#Salmon
  10. Border was closed due to Covid and remains closed due to the civil war which started when the junta took over early 2021. Is that correct?
  11. Something to do with a war going on.

  13. "The restaurant provides the best quality of international cuisines such as European, Thai ,and Japanese. All dishes are served at premium standard guaranteed by two reputable chefs of Chiangmai “Chef Dan from Sipolle” and “Chef Aod from Chef's bistro”
  14. Likely less painful at Festival and yes you can get a reentry at the airport.
  15. Leave here on U.K. passport and enter/exit the country of choice with either passport and then come back into Thailand on your Irish passport. You'll loose your visa but will stay legal here and be free to renew your U.K. passport without penalty. Talk to VFS they will be able to advise how to renew your passport. Good luck.
  16. Actually your visa may only be extended up to expiry date of your passport so get a move on. U.K. passport renewal is regularly quoted as 10-11 weeks. I can't answer the question as to what happens if your visa expires and you haven't received your new passport. Go chat with VFS and immigration then decide your get move. Good luck.
  17. Renew your visa first which keeps you legal here. You didn't say what visa you have but if retirement then you can renew up to 45 days ahead of expiry date. Then submit your U.K. passport for renewal. As stated the embassy don't want anything to do with it and VFS are the assigned authorised agent and it looks like there is an office in Phuket. https://visa.vfsglobal.com/tha/en/ita/attend-centre/phuket
  18. August 15, 19, 22 & 26. 08-1400. https://m.facebook.com/groups/ChiangMaiNewsinEnglish/permalink/1097513880904959/?m_entstream_source=group&ref=group_header
  19. Bottom line is we are blessed to have 2 top rated hospitals in town. Now if only Ram had a piano...........
  20. My visa was up Sep 01 so thats as far as my 90 day went so 15 days.
  21. Streuth we're largely agreeing here and not one suggestion anywhere near Nimman. how refreshing. Yup We-La-Dee is a good one. Its 15 minutes out of town but worth the trek and yes La Fourchette is excellent food just a little tight on space and only open evenings. Your in Chiang Mai and likely staying close to town so go for Wanlamun Rim Nam for exquisite Thai. I doubt you'll be disappointed. https://www.facebook.com/wanlamuncm/
