  1. Possibly, don't know why the cop would have his flashing lights on though. As a aside I have been breathalysed up country, and the lady driver I was with in Bangkok was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt. She had it under her arm instead of over the shoulder and the cop let her go. He was on the ball to notice it in the first place. Seen many cops issuing parking tickets up country Isaan too. I know it is easy to join the pile on and bash Thai cops, but my guess is that it is from those who don't get out much and regurgitate what they read in this forum. A lot I guess don't live in Thailand. Next time you're in trouble don't call a cop, call a criminal.
  2. Ah, the beauty of totalitarianism. Let me guess, you are from the UK?
  3. From what I have read previously, the total number of deaths, when released periodically, include those who died in hospital.
  4. I've often seen vehicles pulled over by the highway patrol on the Bangkok- Pattaya motorway.
  5. Any proof for the apparent bar stool myth that only deaths at the scene are counted? Those that die in hospital are not?
  6. Many cattle are bought in Australia and shipped to Thailand to improve the herd.
  7. Nothing wrong with stopping people not wearing a helmet, or checking for driving licenses. Happens in many countries. It's called a voluntary tax.
  8. I wonder how much spyware the thumb drive auto downloaded onto your computer before self destructing its own file system.
  9. Nowhere near as exciting as spending half your waking hours mopping floors.
  10. Why are they memorable? What's special?. If I'm honest, apart from the bigger cities, every other place is much the same. Same as everywhere in the world. However the people make the experience, not the bricks and mortar. But you have to meet the people and can't do that on a fly through visit.
  11. Might be a few vampires.
  12. I did read it. Just curious why Frankie has links to NZ sites for the alleged pictures of his stunners.
  13. So what is your pedigree?
  14. Seems Frankie goes to New Zealand and nowhere else. No need to call people names bro.
  15. Sadly, I agree. Though in the case of Australia....... we're stuffed. The bung has fallen out of the tinnie and the hang glider has got a tear in the wing.
  16. What did you do in these places?
  17. That's the socialist way, keep spending until you run out of other people's money.
  18. Rode an elephant at the festival in 2013. Never again!! Basic bamboo platform to sit on and try to balance with nothing to hold onto. Just rope around the elephants belly holding the platform on. At that stage I was 120kg and the wife 50 so trying to stop the platform sliding sideways was a challenge. Was not feeling safe at all !!
  19. Sounds like the People's Republic of Victoria. Never heard of such a law where the police take you back to a bar/pub anywhere else.
  20. Bit of a conundrum. Strict policy of no talking to exes yet you want to talk to BKK girl or the Filipina virgin. Hmmm.
