45 years ago I worked in the oil fields in West Texas out of Odessa as a lowly rig hand and I remember well the pickup trucks selling cantaloupe on the side of the road at 5 for a dollar. Sweet and juicy. Just amazing how good they were! I also remember buying a can of Beanee Weenie and a loaf of Wonder bread and putting them on the dashboard of the truck to get them warm for lunch. That is a blazing fast torrent download speed. I tried QBittorrent after reading your post but it did not really make a difference. Actually I usually get only 1-2 Mb or less even on well seeded torrents, only occasionally do the stars align to give me 5-10 Mb.

I upgraded to 1 Gig down/1 Gig up True fiber to my condo a couple of months ago with the hopes of getting better torrent download speed. True severely throttles torrent downloads in Bangkok (hmmph!) but allows it with a VPN. I use ExpressVPN set to Thailand. Previously I had a 50/20 connection and would occasionally top out a torrent download at 5mb/s. I thought it would be much better with the high speed fiber. It is somewhat better but I almost never get above 10 mb/s even with thousands of seeders. I am curious if this true of other fiber users who download torrents? What is your experience?

My Samsung 65 inch was a few months out of warranty when a white dot appeared on the bottom of the screen. Annoyed me, Samsung said 12000 baht to replace the screen, without looking at it. I did not do it. A month or so later they called back and said 6000 to replace the screen. I have no idea how that came about but I did have them do it and it is still working after 4 years or so, but no Samsung ever again for me.
