Oops, I see the USPS is tracking it on their website. Didn't realize it would accept the Thai tracking number.

Anyone have any current information on where to track registered letters sent to the USA from Thailand?
The Thai Post tracking has been stuck on outbound from the airport for a week or so.
Thanks

Last time I was in Los Angeles Trader Joes had about 100 different beers from all over the world for one dollar each. Mix and match a six pack for six bucks.
That's 29.75 baht each!

I bought the lg cited by the op a few months ago for about 20k. It's beautifully designed and seems to have a great picture. I'm no expert though.

My stay at Huay Kaew Residence painfully reminded me of how lost and wretched human beings can become. The staff attitude was really that bad. Stay away!

The buses were crap. The drivers were jerks who would take to the streets to pocket the tolls or pick up friends. It was overpriced. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I know because I commuted through the airport twice weekly for two years.

This cover looks much higher than what i currently have, is it easy to claim with?
As with all insurance companies, you are issued a card with all the companies contact details on for the hospital to deal direct with so claims are not a problem.

To keep this in perspective BUPA is better than nothing by a long way....
That's what I think. I just renewed the platinum cover cost me 30k for the year, I drive a motorbike daily and as you know its nuts on the roads here i would rather have 2 million baht cover for that then nothing at all whilst laying in some soi bleeding to death.
Also for an extra 4k I got my missus covered, she said that was a nice thing to do, i said buying insurance for yourself was like buying a new car with 1 air bag, how selfish can you get.
Maybe you need to double check your cover for riding a motorcycle. My BUPA only pays for 50% in the case of a motorcycle accident. To be fair though it is a cheap company policy.
I am pretty sure all policies cover motorcycle accident injury treatment the same as other accidents. The 50 percent payment is for loss of limbs, eyes etc from a motorcycle accident not for medical treatment.

Those street vendors almost always add sugar if the oranges aren't sweet enough according to their standards. People prefer sweet orange juice. Why wouldn't they?

Thanks for the information!

My experience is that new condos are the worst. The construction noise lasts for a couple of years as units are finished and remodled by the new owners.

Rattanakosan has a lot of exchange students and all have told me they liked it well enough. There are several other newer condo complexes close by to Rattanakosan in what is called the Pinklao area across the river from Tha Prachan. It's a hideous urban area though, but convenient for Thammasat.

Your program will have a pretty good list of condos and apartments along with contact numbers. Thai Studies, BE, BBA all have good lists, including contact numbers for Rattanakosan Condo.

I suggest everybody read a little Jed McKenna.

In Eritrea & Ethiopia, a variety of stews, sometimes salads (during Ethiopian Orthodox fasting, for which believers abstain from most animal products) or simply more injera (called injera firfir), are placed upon the injera for serving. Using one's right hand, small pieces of injera are torn and used to grasp the stews and salads for eating. The injera under these stews soaks up the juices and flavours of the foods and, after the stews and salads are gone, this bread is also consumed. Injera is thus simultaneously food, eating utensil, and plate. When the entire "tablecloth" of injera is gone, the meal is over.
In Somalia, at lunch (referred to as qaddo), the main meal of the day, injera might also be eaten with a stew (maraq) or soup

To my knowledge the closest available now would be in Japan and Australia. Sorry.
Thanks, I guess that's probably true. Maybe another will open someday. Habaesha was open for a couple of months before I randomly noticed it. It was in a depressing old hotel and the food was sometimes just ok, but the people running it were very nice and the injera was from Ethiopea.
Injera is a kind of fermented pancake made from teff flour.

I come from a country where the majority of people believe that the earth was created a few thousand years ago, heaven and hell are real places, and god made their country the best dam_n country in the world.
I've given up judging anyone! Well, not really....

Unfortunately that is the one that closed

I'm deeply distessed that what I think might have been the only Ethiopean restaurant in Bangkok has closed. Went there for my monthly fix only to be told it's closed forever.
Anybody know of any other Ethiopean places. I gotta have injera once a month! It was a tough time when Abyssinia closed and Habesha has followed.
Those that know will understand......

I would guess that the landlord posting above also includes a mandatory cleaning fee and a schedule of replacement and repair costs for damage that is well in excess of actual costs.
In most countries its illegal to contract in such a manner for reasons of public policy.
However, I support a free market. Nothing wrong with trying maximize profits any way you can is there? I can always refuse the contract!
Of course poorer undeducated people often don't understand their contractual obligations. Hence the government tries to protect them.

My experience of living in many different places over 15 years here is simple. The higher the electric rate the landlord charges over the true cost the more likely they are to keep your security deposit and generally be a dick about any financial issues. Without exception.

My experience was that Ensogo did not return emails and could not provide customer service on the phone. They were just sold a couple of day ago though.

That last post was right on the money. People forget that BTS is run for profit by a private company. Their primary interest is maximizing profit, not passenger comfort or convenience.
