    Thai soldiers are just like the LAPD, always trigger happy as just ask the Red shirts. But if a boarder war was ever to break out, my money will be on Cambodia as their army has been fighting since the Vietnam war. Can't say much about the Thai army.

    I'm not surprised as when a country like the Philippines and their catholic church frowns on any type of contraceptive and lacks education on STD's, this is the results you get.

    The bank wants to see that you have a Non O visa or extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai in your passport which is not a tourist visa even if your married. I'm on an extension of stay plus Bangkok bank made me get a certificate of residence from my embassy before they opened my account.

    There will always be mixed reactions from people of the Big city as I been living in Bangkok for the past 4 years and it has it's pros in cons, just like in city/town/village in Thailand.

    My son is 18 and I would never let him ride a motorbike in Thailand. Call me over protective, but after witnessing several teenage motorbike deaths, going to their funerals and seeing the grief and pain on the parents, some of you will understand why.

    Waste of time contacting immigration as your best bet is to get in touch with an immigration lawyer in Thailand if you want answers as many of them have contacts in immigration. Just don't be a fool thinking you can enter with a new passport as all your history is in the computer.

    Many Thai schools, my kids included subsidize school uniforms to parents as you need provide the school with the uniforms purchase receipts and they will reimburse a portion back to you.

    I never provide my real number to get an insurance quote as any insurance company will provide it to you by email. Insurance brokers are nothing but pests as they will keep calling harassing you and sell your info to other insurance companies.

    Typical Thai style knee jerk reaction as I can see this ban lasting a few days as majority of inter provincial buses are double deckers.

    Same news articles every year about the heatwave. Do they just change the year date instead of writing anything we don't already know. Can't wait for Janauary;s cold snap to hit the headlines.
