  1. Can register TM30 by an agent who will probably charge.1,000 baht/person
  2. 7/11 is mostly processed foods and ready made foods. Many 7/11 also sells fruits. Some 7/11 also have attached restaurants where they sell limited freshly made foods/soups. Prices are similar to street vendor prices that our beloved Vblogers rave so much about finding a meal for a dollar as if they found a gold deposits. Also Vloggers in Japan rave about 7/11 foods in Japan just like Thailand Vloggers rave about cheap street foods in Thailand.
  3. Yes, they are unfortunate not to be able to earn in dollars. But millions of tourists get their 30-day extension without any problems. If you're having problem, it is your fault not to stay in an legitimate hotel that registers their guests with immigration services for TM30.
  4. Maybe they don't want tourist money.
  5. Immigrants need one generation to assimilate. It has proven in the USA for every wave of immigrants and for the first time in American history and also in the human history, 10% CEOs are first generation Indian Americans. First generation Indian Americans, they were not born in America, they were educated in schools where most teachers are native speakers and now control fortune 100 companies. This has not happened in the entire human history.
  6. I like Thai approach. As a foreigner one must be hunted down for all criminal activities to make money from Thailand. As per the native Thai, they will be treated as unfortunates who don't have access to earn dollars for no fault of their own. The World should learn this approach from the Thais.
  7. He is a real criminal overstaying as if it his his own home land.
  8. My friend says his money 800K made 20% in the USA and he donated 12.5 K out of that to unfortunates who, not of their own faults, don't have access to the earning power of dollars.
  9. And that too for 7-days, as if giving a finger to Thailand and now wants to live in Thailand. If they approve, you should be forever grateful to Thailand.
  10. You mean the Royalist? Anybody connected with the Royal are elite.
  11. Can you train somebody like her daughters/sons, nieces etc. what to do to recover funds from your assets if you 1) die in the UK or 2) die in Thailand.
  12. If he exits Thailand to kill his OA, he has to convert his entry to a Non-O that costs an additional 12,500 unless he gets the Non-O from outside Thailand. Hence, it takes 5 years to get his additional 12,500 back doing what he is doing now, i.e. paying an extra 2.5K on top of 12.5K, plus the expenses of an Thailand exit and reentry.
  13. I like dual pricing. It's a reminder that due no fault of their, they are not able to generate incomes in dollars. Hence, people who are able to do so, must be charged more.
  14. Unless the person is a tourist, most people don't pay anything for ATM withdrawal. Also, many tourists have become savvy to bring cards that refund them the ATM fees. Many bring cash and can get highly competitive conversion rate. I don't know anybody paying ATM withdrawal fees repeatedly. .
  15. If you already have a retirement extension from an agent, continue doing so. It is only $30/month. Think of it as a donation to unfortunate people who are not able to generate dollar incomes but generous enough to let you live in their country in perpetuity.
  16. And if it does not? Do you chase down the source and ensure that you have the proof that it came from abroad?
  17. I would guess Thai lawmakers think India is a poor, dirty filthy country and the Indian government does not want to to do reciprocal visa agreements.
  18. I don't pay any thing when I get cash from ATM which I hardly do anyway.
  19. If he wins, that will be the end of American democracy. He will be fully prepared this time to perpetuate absolute power of the Executive branch and his cronies will make sure his brand of GOP always remain in power.
  20. THe acronym was coined by a Singaporean diplomat to represent the rising power of Asia - China, India, and ASEAN. However, he recognizes the friction between China and India that maybe the single most blocker for the rise of CIA. He refers it to Asian CIA to counter the American CIA
  21. Come to Pattaya, the agent will do it for 25K BHT, the first year and 12.5K BHT for the subsequent years. My friend does and he lives in Pattaya for 6-month a year.
  22. My visits to 7/11 is at least 100. If less than 200 baht, I can buy 4 coconut water to make up the difference. So many consumable things are available to make up it upto 200. Not bad.
  23. Why people always become critical of CC uses? Holding up the line? Common, it takes less time than cash. I'm not in Thailand now but I always paid by my US issues CC in 7/11. Will check out when I go Thailand next month. If it's 200 baht minimum, still not bad.
