when my father pass away i did send a container from france to australia , everything went smooth and the cost was minimal !

when i was i philipine i bought some antics there and chip to australia , i was hit by fumigation , and many other cost .

i start to do transfer form australia to thailand, as the cost of visa card increase .

6 month ago i went to my bank ( bangkok bank ) to see what will be the procedure , the teller ask me if i want to keep in foreign currency and give me some paper to fill ..

i said no, no need want to have Thai baht into my account !

I did not look at the formalities.

the base metal price is the same as other countries , the labor to do jewel is very low and tax nearly no existent !

gold ornament yes is cheaper here but not to the liking to everyone !

the price of the bullion is nearly the same as jewel , the jewel have labor cost on it, but the bullion bit more of carat in it !

I believe Thai gold is not easily sold outside the country !

and the trend is the dollar go up and the gold follow , today the dollar drop and the gold lost 18 dollar, bit strange ! inflation perhaps ?

I agree with livinlos and will not be surprise to see a pull back and up again !

but sometime a rise or a pull back do not affect the price so much in Thailand .

First invest only what you can afford to lose ! and be happy with your purchases!

Mint certificate are the most easy , mainly for silver view the weight factor

Buy gold in Thailand is good , if you have a good place to hold it and sell it back here !

Buy shares can be good and disastrous , i got burn with Son and Gwalia but make a very nice return with Highland ( Australian shares )

To hold some gold and not expecting a miracle is wise !
