And how they want to organize that if non state banks want to keep open in the malls?
Or will they give up voluntarily?
Complicated rules for opening hours, read yourself.
15:30 or 17:00 depending on zone.
Why need money?? Restaurants, bars and girls closed... 555555

You've been here 2 years, welcome to my experience for the last 25 years.
Don't expect it to change.
The only, not positive, change being the bars are closed and the girls gone....

Apparently, acording to my Missus, there are different Gangs for different Work.
One Gang will come along and open up the Road.
Another will actually do the work required ( water , Electric Etc )
and a Third gang will come along and make good the repair.
With all the Roads and Walk ways being dug up everywhere, its not a good thing for Tourism.
What tourism??? 55555

You obviously don't have to socialize with all of them. But there are many interesting farangs out there.
And, believe it or not, some of them even go regularly out to the bars - at least pre Covid.
I'm one of them.

Pattaya has a lot to offer and is not that far from BKK. Personally living in Rangsit I enjoy a weekend at Pats and no it h as nothing to do with the ladies as i take the GF with me.
I understand though that one of my favorite places the navy look out has changed with out the coffee shops so that is now off the list.
Is Night Circus still existing ?? Not far from Rangsit.

I'm double jabbed, one shot AZ, one shot Pfizer, so I'm good.
But if I had health issues and I was in Thailand I would be gone by now to somewhere I could get a jab, like my home country. Things are only going to get worse IMO.
So I would pose the question, how bad do things have to get in Thailand, before people decide to leave to get a jab.
In reply to your question, most people are awaiting availability for a vaccine, not their choice......

You will generally see very bad road problems repaired after a series of nasty accidents, which normally require at least one death or involvement of someone from an important family. There was almost a crater on Kaonoi for a long time. A half senior copper hit it one night in the rain and was badly scraped. Fixed the next day surprise, surprise!
People who dig stuff up here, don't see providing a safe road surface afterwards as part of their job.
Add the absolute lack of coordination between any of the road crews here, who should patch things up and its the perfect storm for long term danger.
Go slowly, expect a serious drama round every corner and you will get through.
Fixing the roads surfaces is not foreseeable in the near future. Or the long term future either thinking about it.
This will all improve with the upcoming new ' Pattaya Sandbox Castle ' 5555

The Schengen visa is for relatively short visits and effectively a tourist visa so open to all applicants. Sponsorship generally relates to financial support either from an individual or a business.
Full details are in the Schengen Handbook which can be found quite easily on google.
90 days max.

can an American sponsor a Thai person to go to EU?
I would say NO, as an official residence address is mandatory, in my county for instance the also need proof of ' local' income, etc.
Roads torn up throughout Pattaya - Do they ever repair them?
