I am very confused.  My post had nothing to do with international needs or drugs.  What I was saying was that people were going to need the vacination papers or permit for things INSIDE THEIR COUNTRIES

an example I gave was that

PEOPLE ATTENDING A CANADIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY GAME HAVE TO SHOW THAT THEY HAVE BEEN FULLY VACINATED.

I really could not give a fig.

As we have seen one of the things they are proposing in THAILAND is thaat Thais or expats living in the country must show that they have been vacinated.  It would not surprise me to see that as a possibility also at cinemas or anywhere people gather in close proximity to each other.

Depending on each different country in EU they apply their own different rules concerning ' green pass ' ' Vaccination pass ', for entry in cinema, theater, concerts, restaurants, etc....

This is Absurdistan at its best/worst. So, one can dine in at a restaurant with no proof of vaccine until  October 1st: what about the next 3 weeks- no risk of getting infected? What about those who were vaccinated with one jab J&J vaccine ( like me, courtesy of the French Embassy?).

what clown is running this show?

They gave you a Vaccination Certificate... Confirmed...

On paper you can get it when you have worked and paid taxes for 3 years.

After 25 years I still don't have it as they (immigration) make their own rules up along the way.

Married, adult children (now) , company, work permit etc etc.

Don't mention it to much over here because experts (selfmade) will tell you that you don't know a thing.

Ubonjoe is the only person I would trust on this.

Did you apply???? Did you read the post I sent with all the Xtra requirements they request? And yet I did....

Surprised he is allowing the child in the house if she is unvaccinated, because, according to many of this forum unvaccinated people are as bad a drunk drivers and are a danger to everyone else because they spread the virus, make mutations and harm at risk people....so should be segregated and denied their rights.

If she looks that mature there are other dangers to be aware of......????????????

It seems like there are alot of gorgeous gals from Udon Thani, Koen Kaen, Buriram, and Chaiyaphum. And Bangkok, of course! It is almost as if they lace the water with some sort of beauty agent!

The fascinating thing about Thai women, is that they are all of mixed ethnicity. Few know it, and few will admit it. But it is nearly 100%. Going back to the days of ancient Ayutthaya and Sukhothai, Thailand was a major trading nation. And people from all over the region came to trade, many of whom stayed. Producing the most astonishing women as a result. Indians, Sumatrans, Burmese, Cambodians, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Turks, Persians, and more.

Combine their innate femininity, and the level of comfort they have in expressing that, it makes them very appealing. I see a  Western woman sometimes, who is beautiful, but cold as ice, and more masculine than I am, and there is no appeal, whatsoever.

As far as I experienced the only region still looking a bit like the ' original ' Th ethnic, as far as still possible, would be the area of Phitsanulok....

You’re probably right. One other thing I’ve noticed between here and the US is how most shops are closed on Sundays, even the malls and supermarkets.

The pace here is definitely slower, but I like that.

You'll have to learn relaxing and Siesta are still very important.. A bit Mediterranean attitude. I'll send, if you don't mind, a Msge next time I'm around. Take care.

    Yep, you have it covered.

Note you don't need to obtain the non O (retirement) as soon as you arrive. The tourist visa stamps you in for 60 days. Obtain the non O prior to expiry of that per period.

When you obtain the non O that stamps you for further 90 days.

In last 30 obtain your 12 month extension.

Indeed, in the meantime you can have and enjoy a few drinks while relaxing and anticipating your very ' stressful ' retirement. ????????????

Very cool, I intend to do the same consuming of the wine. BTW, the countryside around here is fantastic. So far, we've only had a chance to explore north and west of here, between Logrono and Pamplona, but it is really amazing and the roads were smooth and empty of other vehicles.

The empty roads won't last, but still very enjoyable to drive there.

It also helps to be able to tune out ads on radio. I manage to not hear them now. Unfortunately, that doesn't work with tv, but as there isn't anything worth watching on freeview I don't watch it much at all, so that avoids the ads. When I do watch tv at a friends place it's just Al Jazeera, which doesn't have ads.

Don't read magazines or newspapers any more, so that's more ads I don't see.

It is, as I have proven, possible that we can avoid most advertising.

I used to be able to watch Sky, but that was mainly for the international news channels, and they only had self promotion, during which I changed channels. I did watch the movies, no ads, and UKTV which also only had self promotions.

Sadly, the Sky was terminated under new management, so now it's just DVDs, and they thankfully don't have ads.

To avoid all this, I simply lock myself up in the toilet the hours I'm awake...????????

New style Kasikorn ATMs have been timing out at the very end of the transaction for a couple of months now..

Old style still work most of the time, but sometimes return "card expired. Contact issuing bank".  Immediately re-insert card and it processes normally.

    It's not a temporary thing..

    All Covid related...????????????

Kasikorn ATM couldn't read card the other day, another ATM was fine.

Can easily go in branch with card and passport and withdraw, usually a lot more than ATM limit, plus should avoid ATM fee

I've had the same problem with my Kasikorn ATM card, when converted from 4 to 6 digits pin code. Some machines said cannot read.... Still sometimes problems occur, simply go to to SCB or Bangkok bank ATM right next to it and it works, why? Wonders and miracles of technology....

Hi Robyn, sorry to hear you had a less than favorable time. Here in Phuket after the second jab, we expats could go to a centralized hospital with that document you hold, attend the accounts section, pay 50thb and receive a proper certificate. I am hoping you should be able to do the same thing where you are. During your vaccine step-by-step process, your details should have been entered into a database and it is that strange number on the piece of paper you have which will align with your personal details when you do the final step (obtaining the certificate). I hope my experience helps you  sort out what needs to be done for your situation and its always best to take a thai speaking person along with you to smooth over any communication hurdles.

BPH supplies for free a paper Cert. With date of both injections, obviously personal details, name vaccine,  batch Nr, etc...
