It always amazes me that so many Thais carry tree branches around in the boot of their car.
I just have a warning triangle with a flashing red light.

We decided to have one near the back entrance . How can the back entrance be far away from any building?
Maybe one of the main entrances to the Baan with buildings as remote as 4-500 m????? Ever imagined this possibility???

I'm sure Pfizer has a load of side effects like all the others, still worth the risk.
As for feeling dizzy, i would ask the hospital where you had the vaccine
Had my 1st shot on the 26th. So far nothing noticeable...

Thanks Andrew, you saved me a lot of clicks there..????
Another question: Anyone know if you get some sort of certificate/proof of vaccination that can be used if you want to go to Europe? Or be converted to the global certificate when that comes along?
You get a vaccination Certificate, whether useful in Eu depends if the vaccine is recognized in Eu. Pfizer is and I think AZ also

Why do farang get married here? The only benefit is for a visas, but there are many disadvantages. Many wealthy Thais never get legally married as they don't want to split assets in case of divorce. Defacto with or without a temple wedding is acceptable here. Several posters have said they got married weeks or months after meeting. Why?
Why not, if and as long as it works out...

Met my Thai wife when I was 26 and she was 21 and still happy together 30 years later and 3 grown up kids. The only difference between her and my English girlfriend of 4 years is her temper!! My English girlfriend was incredibly gentle whereas my Thai wife can be quite be quite feisty when she's tired..but that aside I don't see any difference between English and Thai women. Sounds like you're seeing hookers not regular women.. If that's the case then you're always gonna be cheated and lied to. They're mentally and physically damaged as would any hooker in any country be. Best way to meet a nice Thai partner is thru introduction from someone you know and trust. Same as anywhere else in the world.
Did you have a 4 years old English GF???? ( kidding )????

Indeed yes, but I was referring to the other kind of assistance where people with hands tied in the back commit suicide.

But most of those western women are ugly and have a bad attitude. And if you find the 1 in thousands who is pretty and has no attitude why would she want to waste her time with you? (sorry not just you, basically all of us).
Personally I think it's a good idea to look for the important things in life: A girl should be pretty and cute and fun and smile at me, and obviously it's good if she can cook. If I want a challenging conversation there are some smart people out there. And at least 99% of them are not what I would date or marry.
Conversations here are ALWAYS challenging. ????????????

All the rest of your post is moot, in Thailand money talks, the rest walks, while everywhere else you can melt a lady heart with bunch of flowers, here a bunch of money will do the trick and the rest is just icing on the cake...
Because flowers in the rest of the world are for free????? ????????????

If going the PR route to citizenship, it adds 10 years to the process. The onyl reason not to do it is if your country doesn't allow dual citizenship(eg India/China).
I got my citizenship in 3 years and a fraction of the PR cost.(5,000 baht). I thought of getting the PR when it was 9k, before square face increased it.
Many people don't realize how easy it is to get citizenship these days if married.
People suggested a lawyer for this process also, total waste of money. I am very busy and found the time for 7 daily trips to Bangkok.
I was told I needed a WP for the duration but wasn't asked for it, luckily as I didn't have one! I suggest keep one for peace of mind.
Thanks for update, as far as I understood I can apply for Citizenship upon 5 years of PR??? I do agree completely with everything you say but I made that mistake about 11 years ago due to my ignorance and partly wrong info.

I guess it was an absurd question. TBH, I generally don't carry any ID in my current (last in the USA) rides on a multi-use off-road lane with suburban roads mixed. I just don't see the need unless it's big city riding, which I no longer do. But overseas, certainly I would always want to comply with local laws regarding legally-accepted ID. My only concern regarded carrying a passport, and thanks to many of the responses on this thread, I now believe there's a solution that will preserve my original document passport. I do appreciate your comment and maybe I should carry some ID with me even in the safe confines of my soon-to-be-former locale.
As I said previously, in 22 years here I've never been checked, except along the road checks for DL a few times a year.. And as mentioned by other posters you need to be a bit careful about dogs and wholes in the road when it rains...

You dont need to carry ID with you all the time.
The biggest threat when cycling are the roads and soi dogs!
Luckily, south of Hua Hin there are lots of cycle lanes so it is pretty safe. The routes are excellent and it is probably one of the best spots in Thailand for cyclists.
In 22 years living here I've never been checked for ID or WP.....
