Qatar just obfuscated and refused.

I made a complaint and all I got in the envelope was a voucher for $250, not even a compliments slip, far less an apology. Never flown with them since.
I've made several claims over the years but only one with Qatar and it was settled with the 600 Euro equivalent compensation with no issues. Different experience altogether.

So they survey .7% (19181) of the female population.
Survey is done in Metro Bangkok.......and the result is accurate to the rest of the 20+ aged female population ?
Bwahahahahahahahaha.
I was merely explaining the calculation, not commenting on the population of the survey. The newspaper headline mentions the Bangkok population (although not as the source of the data) but the previous surveys make no such distinction so your "Bwahahahahahahahaha" may be misplaced.
Similarly, your extrapolation of your industrial estate to the whole of Thailand is just as likely to give biased results due to the limited demographic of the population.

1% margin or error on a .7% sample size.
How does that work ?
1% margin of error means that if the survey says 40% are overweight then you can be 99% sure (in the example given) that the results over the full population would be between 39% and 41%.

It’s like all the air miles I accumulate and can rarely cash in cos the flights I select are supposedly fully booked.
Emirates Skywaards Miles can also be used on several partner airlines if that's an option for you. I flew BKK-USM and back using them a few weeks ago.

I think the first clue they'll have is the lack of an entry stamp in the new passport.
He could get it overseas (it's easy to get out unnoticed) so the entry stamp point is moot, but he would almost certainly not get back in, even with a new passport.

And why would that be if the airline adds 13 hours to their stopover?
If you had bothered to read the OP you would have known that I'm not the traveller, and I think my friends haven't been given a reason either for the delay.
They have a travel itinerary that shows their flight to Bangkok would depart about 3 hours after arrival in Dubai, but when they arrived in Dubai it turned out to be 16 hours
A lot more information is needed before you'll get any informed replies. Origin of flight to Dubai being key as that will dictate any legal requirements. Also flight timing of the first flight, were they given boarding passes for both flights at the first check-in, was it on time, booked directly with the airline or through an agent etc.

Most of us use QR card-less withdrawals these days at ATM machines.
And have the option to disable the card in the app should we fear cloning or other fraud might be attempted.

im curious but is WISE now connected to Dee money, ive heard you can use Wise to send money from Thailand and it may utilize dee money in some way. anyone know more?
Dee Money are a transfer partner for Wise. If you look at your transaction PDFs you will see which transfer partner they have used, either Dee Money, BBL or Kasikorn. TMB used to be one too, but I don't think they use them any more.

What's your backup for when there is a problem? It's bound to happen.

I was not aware that the visa the IO gave me was just 29 days. He stamped the visa from 11th of April till 10th of March.
That is 30 days. 20 days in April and 10 in May.

I guess, for Immigration, you're not 'leaving' the country until your plane departs...
Which is true.
They can't stamp everyone as the plane pushes back so do it in the hours before as people pass through the airport. They're stil in Thailand though so it makes sense from that point of view.

But suddenly the Thai ATMs showed me €-rates 2 Baht lower than the official Visa-rates, a loss of nearly 50 Euros when taking off 30.000 THB. Since this time I never have withdrawn money from a Thai ATM. Instead I made money transfers using my €-bank account.
Anybody the same problem?
Yes, most (all?) ATMs offer to do the conversion to the card currency at a poor exchange rate. Just refuse the offer and it'll revert to the Visa/Mastercard rate. Google Dynamic Currency Conversion for more info.

You're right, as far as i know you cannot access to an account with only its number.
This guy would disagree, although it was 15 years ago and things have hopefully tightened up since then, but he was as convinced at the time that it could not be done.

Wise have procedures specifically set up to prove funds have been transferred from overseas.

This is irrelevant to the thread where the OP is not getting close to completing let alone submitting an application. Can you help with that?

Wise Account - Receiving Standing Order from my UK HSBC account

Sounds like you're in the right place. It'll give you Wise account details for a GBP account on your profile. If it's the first time creating one it'll probably ask for a sample deposit and identity check.
