You aren't listening from your soapbox - just like the EU didn't listen when Cameron asked for a few small concessions - but if the EU had allowed those then there probably wouldn't have been a referendum! I'm glad there was one because the result itself showed that it was needed.
The EU did comply with Cameron's request. He asked if he could restrict EU migrants rights to social security claims. The EU agreed to suspend them for 7 years.

Are we really to believe that the so-called Ronnasit Foundation complained to the RTP about one girl, when there are over one thousand working in Soi 6 on any given day. Come on..conspiracies keep this TV thread going.
And, if true, who tipped off the Ronnasit Foundation? I can't see them personally trawling the bars on Soi 6 looking for underage girls.

There is discussion going on about the raid in the "Bars" section of P.A.'s
Not that I can see. There have been 2 threads started on it in the last 24 hours. Both were quickly closed without explanation. PM me on PA pointing out the thread if I'm wrong. (same board name).

Remember Patrick McGoohan an' a big white ball?
I'll humour you. Patrick McGoohan was Irish. Not made of the same stuff. 555
Actually he did stay and fight. The series ended when he asked the computer one question, "Why". The computer blew a fuse and the place shut down and he walked.

Reading somewhere that you give them when getting a sim card too but I don't remember ever doing that.
I got a deal that was only available to Thais for my sim card so my wife got it for me. Don't know about fingerprints.

It doesn't really matter what anyone says about Brexit, we have our clique of remainers ready to jump on the doom and gloom bandwagon.
On this forum, a much bigger group of leavers ready to jump on the doom and gloom bandwagon and shout down anyone who shatters their dream of chasing pink unicorns by pointing out the facts.

There are no prints on a Thai ID card to my knowledge. Did you look at your wife's?
I had my fingerprints taken when I obtained my Thai ID card.
Edit. Just both thumbprints.

Funny that, that means there will be one brown envelope short at the end of the month.
One small one and one much bigger envelope extra.

The extra lanes are to assist with checks.
Yea right. More likely to cope with the queues of immigrants.

The Mayor of Calais has said he will add another 15 lorry lanes in the Port of Calais to speed up lorry checks in the event of a no deal Brexit.
I wonder if the penny will ever drop with the remainers.
And abandon checks on the lorries too. The lorries will become busses for illegals. If you think it's bad now just wait until the French no longer join the fight to prevent illegals from crossing from Calais to Dover.

Brits are better than that.
So Brits run and hide rather than stay and fight do they? Sorry, not the way I was brought up.

1 17 year old girl working in a bar willingly and without coercion is hardly people trafficking.

I lived on Soi Six for a while and am familiar with the place. Lot of nice and not so nice people there but never boring.
Not familiar enough to know approximately how many bars there are there. Where did you live on the 6?

At least.

Why is it, I'd like to know, that in the wake of these supposed 5 year closure orders, we NEVER hear any followup of what actually happens with these places???
I think I can almost guarantee, that the space held by this bar is NOT going to sit vacant for the next 5 years. Probably will reopen as another bar in the not too distant future, probably with a new name and with new tenants/lessees. And the Thai owner of the (land) property will probably continue making money off prostitution, et al...
A bar on Soi Chaiapoom (opposite the Triangle Bar) was closed for 5 years, a couple of years ago, for repeated offences regarding closing time. It's still closed. Prime spot for a bar too.

When someone composes a post using the words 'probably' and 'if' then that post is unlikely to be factual.
The post Halloween GE is my prediction if we have not left the EU by then.
"there will be a GE shortly thereafter." I don't see any "probablies" or "ifs" there.

As do several heads of state within the EU. We would have plenty of support for reform of the EU, if we remain.

I provided facts as to the result of the Peterborough by-election. What facts did you provide?
"We are talking about October 31st this year and if we are not out by then there will be a GE shortly thereafter." And that's a fact is it? Or another Brexiteer pink unicorn?

I see no evidence here either. I see Richard Tice claiming that he has evidence that Tariq Mahmood acted as an agent for the Labour party in the Peterborough by-election, but staunchly refuses to present that evidence. Meanwhile Labour have presented evidence that he did not act as an agent in said by-election.

Had any of that worked since 1975 or certainly since 1990 when Maggie (the only politician they genuinely feared prior to Farage) was toppled we'd never have wanted to leave.
So we didn't get an opt out for the Shengen agreement? We didn't get an opt out for the Euro. Cameron didn't secure a deal which allowed us to restrict benefits for EU migrants for 7 years? We didn't opt out of Merkel's plan to force us to take a percentage of her Syrian refugees?

Perhaps all the referendum leave voters decided to stick with their habitual parties or just not vote in a by election that made little difference to Brexit? Perhaps they only like voting in referendums that promise the chance to leave the EU? Perhaps they have become disenchanted with all of the main parties? Perhaps they knew Labour would cheat? Perhaps they just wanted to give you something to talk about? Who knows?
But I do think the BP did really well for a brand new party and if the shenanigans had been disallowed I bet they would have won it, too.
2 minutes ago, evadgib said:Evidence presented in #177 seemed pretty convincing.
What evidence would that be? I only see @nauseus making completely unsubstantiated claims (as usual) about Labour cheating and "shenanigans".

Bold claims but that's all. We will see who can win what after 31st October!
Mostly based on facts. The next general election is scheduled for May 2022. Which October 31st are we talking about? We are very unlikely to even be out of the EU by this October 31st, despite Boris's qualified claim.
Police chief transferred for allowing prostitution in Pattaya, foreign bar owners deported and blacklisted

Think about it. the Ronnasit Foundation has been in the news in Thailand quite a bit recently for instigating similar raids in various parts of Thailand.
You're a bar owner, you speak Thai, have read the reports on the Ronnasit Foundation and want to do the dirty on a rival. You plant a 17 year old girl in a rival's bar and call the Ronnasit Foundation to ensure the tip off doesn't get back to you. A cunning plan.
It all goes pear shaped when the Ronnasit Foundation, instead of enlisting the local RTP to carry out the raid as you'd assumed,, enlists a special, nationally based, unit that they work closely with. Said special unit uncovers a nest of hornets and several local senior police officers get dropped in the doggy doo.
You are now deep in the mire yourself and repeatedly changing your underpants.
Purely hypothetical of course!
