We have both a Ranger and Mazda3. For local trips within province, the Mazda works well (and goes like a bat out of Hell if I really punch it). The Ranger works for farm stuff, and for our frequent cross country trips during high season. Will replace Ranger this year. Perhaps we can make a deal? Looking for the WildTrack 4 x 2 with bi-turbo.

Although I have no political experience, I’m quite certain I could manage to answer any question I had time to rehearse my prepared response. And how nice to have the reporters name, affiliation and picture beforehand. -

We live in a typical Isaan farm village, across the street from a park. The neighbors (mostly relatives) help watch over things.. We travel frequently. But with the price of yaba down, many locals now addicted—and unemployable. Every family has a ner-do-well. and they in turn have friends. -
Feeling safe in your own home

We’ve had a couple of incidents over the years. And we know who. Stainless on all 1st floor windows and sliders, plus some 2nd floor. Motion sensors along sides of house, coordinated with 10 CCTV cameras. Deadbolts on some doors. Perimeter fencing with stainless steal points. And yes, I worked in the industrial security field in America. Sure anyone can get in if they really want to. But if they survive—they’ll do time in prison. -

Disclaimer: Although I advised a purchase—if you can afford it—I will also admit I own stock in BMW (not too much, though).

I had the pleasure of owning/driving five BMW’s in America—from a 1600 in college to a 530 when I retired to Thailand. Great handling cars and fun to drive. I bought all of them second hand, and used a local independent BMW specialist repair shop. That doesn’t seem to exist here. Plus the prices are sky high—whether you buy new or used. For me, it doesn’t look good for another BMW in LoS. But if you can afford a new one, or slightly used—go for it.

How fast can police respond—anywhere in the world? Americans are well defended from housebreaks. Good luck confiscating their weapons.

Let me know when China, India and poor countries significantly reduce carbon emissions. Nothing will change until that happens.

Jordan Peterson, renowned psychologist, claims studies show women much pickier when choosing a man—only 20% make the grade. Men, on the other hand, see 50% of eligible women as attractive. Here in Thailand, that percentage could actually go higher for us guys, methinks.
