Can someone please tell me how the agent skirts around the fact ones wife has to be in attendance on applying for a 'Marriage Extension'?

Can someone please confirm that the the only time one can legally use an agent, to act for you, is when doing a TM47.

How can it cost more for you to go see them than them coming to see you? Surely you're paying for their time on top whereas your time is your own.

TM 7 (filled out) Marriage Certs (both originals) Wife's Blue Book Wife's ID card Bank Letter Map to house (photocopy) Couple of family photos Children's Birth Certs (if you have kids) Doesn't look like there's anything difficult there that would need the actions of an agent. In fact you'd be just as quick doing your extension in person instead of taking the trouble to travel to an agents office. No resolving, it's all pretty straight forward.

In your opinion if a person hasn't got the monies required to obtain a visa/extension, then it's legal to have a third party/agent to have it for you. And you pay him 16,000, whatever, is that correct? I see that 16,000 as being tea money or a bribe which is illegal. I believe the only time one can use an agent is for a 90 day report.

Complete and utterly wrong. Many guys up here in Buriram use Pattaya cuz it's cheaper than Buriram. The most I was asked for at Buriram stadium, 3-4 years ago was 32,000. I'm legit and not once in my 17 years here have I used an agent. If you have to do it under the table you shouldn't be living here is my belief.

Even if the IO is caught giving visas to Chinese nationals who didn't use the visa for its intended purpose? And the Chinese national was caught selling fake spectacles in Bangkok?
