What a joke, as long as the military are in power as they are presently and all the generals are getting well looked after they will be quite happy but as soon as a non military person comes along and gets to be leader those generals have to get snouts out of the trough they burr up, present company included.

If you were an elderly Russian lady you would probably take the risk as well!! Much better quality of life in Thailand unless you are well off financially. Your comment is hardly relevant to the old ladies situation is it and thats the topic here!!!

Hang your head in shame Thailand, just like your stance on Burma. Wait until you get invaded by china or the likes and you will then realise the error in your ways!!!

I think the doctors are a little out of touch, sure people come for the beaches and Thai culture etc but they also come for partying, bars and women but I do agree that 2am closing is plenty of time to have a few drinks. It would make no difference to me if they closed at midnight, still enough time to have a few drinks but thats my personal situation which wouldn't suit a lot of bar goers!
