  1. It wouldn't matter if there was a law saying that I must stay there 3 days. But I don't like to be told where to stay by some corrupt crooks making up their own rules to extort money from people.
  2. I love these "proper visa" remarks! To which I answer, the tourist visa is proper for me now, as I don't work, study, marry, or retire in Thailand.
  3. We've already figured out that your GF is 25yo from your previous post.
  4. Cheaper would be not pay anything and not stay 3 days in Malaysia, because there is no law about this.
  5. Of course I'm talking about independent border crossing, without a group. If you are with a border run group, everything is included in the price.
  6. The thing is they make up this thing to make you pay them. Typical scammer tactics.
  7. And run into "stay in Thailand too much" scam ????
  8. Not sure about "welcomed", but prepare to be questioned at an airport. Have a return ticked, cash and accommodation booking. Most likely, you will be allowed in. Just stay calm and composed, don't be intimidated by the boys (or girls) in brown threatening to send you back.
  9. It's seems that there is a scam run by Thai immigration crooks at the Malaysian border. When you try to return to Thailand after crossing the border into Malaysia the same day, they tell you that you can't enter Thailand unless you stayed in Malaysia at least 3 days. And of course they can let you in if you give them a "tip" of around 2000 baht. It's pretty much the same as the "stay overnight in Cambodia" thing. However, the difference is that in case of Cambodia, it's enforced by Cambodian IOs, who don't let you out of the country unless you give them a "tip". Some people say that it's an actual rule in Cambodia, although I doubt that. But in case of Thailand, this scam is run on the Thai side. There is sure no Thai law saying that you need to stay in Malaysia 3 days before you can come back to Thailand.
  10. Compared to China, Patong is a heaven!
  11. Not if we're talking about smart thieves. If they take the whole pile, they're not smart.
  12. Yes, I've read a lot of similar stories, and the pattern is the same.
  13. Smart thieves do exactly like this. They never take the whole pile, only a part of it.
  14. Anyway the hospitals in America can afford the best of the best lawyers and law firms. All within the law.
  15. Of course, it's only for visa-exempt entries.
  16. So in the West the hospitals don't work with top-tier law firms? In the West, and especially America, the hospitals are way more powerful and connected than in Thailand.
  17. This proves again that Permanent Residence in Thailand is not truly permanent. It can be so easily lost and sometimes it's not even your fault!
  18. Not only Ukraine, now they're invading Pattaya!
  19. Just stand your ground and don't be so easily intimidated by the boys (and girls) in brown. They just want to see your reaction, how you answer their questions.
  20. It's not a real problem after all. Of all the people that are questioned by IOs at airports, only a tiny fraction get denied entry. The majority are allowed in, maybe with a light warning to come with a visa next time.
  21. There is no clear-cut rule about this. The only official rule that exists is no more than two land border entries per calendar year. Everything else is pure speculation.
  22. Poipet is known to be especially bad. They often don't allow to have the lawful two land entries in a calendar year.
  23. There are plenty reports about entry denials at Poipet. It must be avoided at all costs.
  24. "Me student from Bangkok".
  25. Yes, I am unvaccinated, pure as the driven snow. And wish to remain so.
