  1. I would be glad if they clearly set the official rules. Because now, they say you "stay too much" even if you come to Thailand for 90 days every 180-day period!
  2. The fact that you are a foreigner doesn't mean than they can violate their own law when dealing with you.
  3. I totally agree that they need to combat people illegally working on tourist visas, as well as education visas or any other visas besides Non-B. But as long as you don't work here illegally and follow the official regulations, it should not be a problem if you come with a tourist visa as often as you wish.
  4. Tourist visa perfectly corresponds to my needs. I don't need to work, study, marry, volunteer etc.
  5. Yes, I was taken away from the main booths to a separate area for interrogation. Eventually I was allowed entry but for the next time I was advised to use their "special service" for $100.
  6. But the problem is, they don't follow the regulations and falsify the facts to deny entry.
  7. You didn't get what I'm talking about. People do have 20,000 baht and more in cash. But the officials falsify the facts and cite "insufficient funds" as a fake reason for denying entry.
  8. You wouldn't have this option. They would take you to a separate area for interrogation, away from the main booths. And of course they wouldn't allow you to return to the hallway.
  9. Whatever. I had my account opened, got a personal phone call with apologies and felt like a boss. Btw, the branch I complained about was eventually shut down. I hope it's not because of me haha.
  10. The attitude should be - we are just stupid farangs here, we have only one right, which is to pay everyone around, shut up and smile. Or is complaining only reserved to Thai people? They love it so much and complain about almost everything.
  11. I said exactly that, but was shown the door. That's why I had to complain to her bosses and make her lose face.
  12. I know people do that.
  13. Falsifying the evidence by an official is a crime, even in Thailand.
  14. It's okay if there is a real reason. For example, if a person with a tourist visa has a work-related papers in his baggage. But I'm not okay with a made-up reason, such as "no appropriate means" when you have enough cash on you.
  15. Yes, he gave me his contact and his schedule and of course you need to arrive during his shift.
  16. Yes, that's what they cite. But the problem is that they falsify the facts. The individual may have enough funds in cash and still get denied entry as "having no appropriate means...".
  17. But why does this tourist visa allow up to 3-month stay? That's way beyond the normal 2-week holiday tourism you're talking about.
