THAILAND ????????.. The country with the lowest number of people who have COVID 19 ...

If you don’t know way they have so low numbers ?
And maybe you are thinking a bit about How can it be so low .. ???

Please look at the photo .. this is what Thailand calling a test center check point .. which means that it’s only people who drive and passing by a check point like that who will get a test... not all people are driving.. witch mean that it’s not even 25% of the Thai people who get a test .. and only a very few number of people are tested compared to the size of the country ????

Many country as Denmark ???????? are testing more then 100.000 people a day .. ????????????

They supposed to make free test center all over thailand.. but no .. they smelling money ???? and charge people 2.000 / 5.000 baht for a hospital Covid test ????

Its so sad and Terrible that the Thai government don’t follow the same way as they do world wide.. ????????????????

And now they open up .. ????

I think we all know the answer to your truthful comments. You can use any number of adjectives (or a combination thereof) to describe it. What really frosts my backside is that our respective embassies here in toilet-land are doing "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING" to make sure their own citizens are treated fairly and taken care of.

Sorry I forgot to mention it is Jomtien.

The requirement that you go 3 months after your new visa is totally ridiculous. There is no proof (in your passport) that you've even done it, if you were to be challenged later.

It baffles me why they don't start a 'new' 90day reporting sequence when you renew your visa, because in some instances you have to go back 2 weeks later and do a 90day report which is ridiculous. If they did that, then they could check the 800K on the first 90day reporting visit.

Yes but you fail to realise that would be common sense which is not applicable in this country ????

Firstly, I don't need any advice of the pros and cons of a Pink I.D. card for a foreigner, but interested if any other member has been told the same.

On Tuesday I went to get my annual renewal of my extension of stay at Khon Kaen immigration, and had the same documents I have provided every year since I became eligible in 2010, Passport, TM7, Bank Letter showing adequate funds, copy of bankbook, Condo rental contract and all necessary photocopies of passport information.

As I am single, do not own property, and have my passport and Government hospital registration card as bone fide Identification documents, I have never bothered to apply for the Pink I.D. card, and never in my 15 years here been asked to produce one. However, the officer at the first desk kept on asking me for my Pink colored I.D. card, and as I repeatedly explained that I did not have one, and have extended every time with all the necessary documents requested, he then told me that next year I will not be granted the extension without such a card !

I don't really want to bother my landlord to go through the process of applying for the card, and with having 2 totally legitimate I.D. documents, one which I carry everywhere, I fail to see why he insists on me getting a card, apart from his typical "I am in charge and you will do as I say" attitude.

I know I will get the "get a pink I.D. card" comments from the usual suspects here, which I will ignore, but I am asking for confirmation that this is not needed according to the written law here.

Is it the same officer that you delt with in the past? If there's more than one officer at your location can you speak with someone else? Personally I think most of these guys pull <deleted> out of thin air to give us a hard time if don't play the game and show up with a paid Thai agent.

Seems this is only half true, according to one of the arrested party people I just asked personally:

"According to Sky News, those in attendance at the bar were each fined 4,000 baht and given a one month prison sentence,  suspended for one year."

4,000 baht fine is confirmed, but no prison sentence for them.

My contact didn't know about the verdict for the bar owner and party organiser because of not speaking Thai.

In any case we are all paying for the corruption that allowed these migrant workers to come into the country and work wages far less than the daily minimum wage ????

    A reasonable approach.

Although vaccinated people may still present a risk of transmission. Those who have been vaccinated and taken a pre-flight Covid-19 test have a minimal chance of carrying the virus in to Thailand.

Other countries have a smaller ‘quarantine requirements’ i.e. a Covid-19 RT PCR test on arrival and quarantine for a day while awaiting test results. Not idea, but much better than what currently exists.

The issue with any of the plans is that there is no water-tight solution and any easing brings additional risk of the spread of Covid-19.

Confirmed vaccination along with pre-flight and arrival Covid-19 tests (and track and trace) should handle the vast majority of risk while allowing opening Thailands tourist sector back up.

It is critical that Thailands tourism sector be allowed off its knees and take steps towards getting back on its feet - the potential devastation to millions without a robust social welfare safety net is essential not only to those individuals but the fabric of the nation.

Yes, you can still (be asymptomatic) get and transmit Covid-19 after vaccination. The vaccine only aids in "hopefully" not becoming seriously ill yourself. Although not as deadly, it's very similar to being able to spread influenza after being vaccinated. I see absolutely no point in "vaccine passports".

In English we say What's good for the goose is good for the gander ! (Or the other way round).

So just pose the same question to your other halves and see what they say.

I have slept with many ladies here that are married or in a relationship with someone else. So yes, they do it too. A vast majority seem to be very curious about older white men and meet me on a regular basis never asking for money.

Don't see the point of post your positive experience. Many reports of successful online reports. Many not so.

I obtained my last extension Oct 15 last year. Subsequently did a report online Oct 30. My current report is due Jan 29.

No success now online as many others have reported.

OP I'm doing mine in person next week at MTT. You can make an appointment.

This is exactly the same situation including dates I ran into this last time. I'm a retired IT professional that takes screen shots and was following my last successful 90-Day online reporting using the same information and the same web browser. I couldn't get past the first page just like everyone else with this problem with absolutely no explanation. My guess is there was a coding change made that wasn't fully tested (Regression testing) before it was put into production.

The constant repetition of insulting state sponsored schemes to rid tourists of money just becomes tiresome.

Thailand is seriously hurting due to the absence of international tourist yet complete imbeciles are still trying to figure out ways to scheme more money from the very people it wants to attract.

So often I’m astonished by the outrageously flawed mindset of those in positions who come up with this stuff.

When I read news such as this I draw the opinion that Thailand doesn’t deserve tourists, but sadly it is the general population who would be hurt, while those in positions of power dream up more schemes from which to graft and skim funds.

The manner in which ‘some’ Thai’s can so clumsily and publicly put both 'feet in it' while urinating all over the combined face of common sense and political correctness never ceases to amaze me.

So ignorantly arrogant is the mentality of those who make such policies they fail to recognise the elephant in the room, which in this case is not just in the room but knocking one out... They completely fail to understand that foreigners are no more at risk of having Covid-19 in Thailand than Thai’s.

Those foreigners who can not longer play at this course may well not do so in future. Perhaps they can afford to lose the business.

Has anyone given thought to creating a Facebook group similar to 2PriceThailand where we can more publicly expose and track these places barring entry to foreigners?

So what.. why do you expect the Thai government to take care of you. You are not Thai. I don't mind paying a private hospital. Also GF her company is looking into getting the vaccine themselves they are a medical company. I don't see the problem of governments not taking care of non Thais.

We made choices when we came here.. why expect a government to take care of us. If you want that then go back to your home country. There you are being taken care of have more rights.

Many of our "home countries" give money in foreign aid packages to Thailand from "our tax dollars" so yeah, I expect consideration. I don't mind paying for it at cost, not some inflated  ???? ???? price ????
