If people can not afford that, then they can't afford to be here in Thailand

You speak without intelligence ???? There are many people in this country that are very poor and can't afford a phone. The homeless people sleeping in doorways and on the footpath in Bangkok can't even afford food! How in God's name do you think they can afford a phone and monthly phone bill?!?!?!

Things had been going so well, at least in Thailand. Now that has all changed.

Back in April the first amnesty was announced, likely as a result of a desire to minimize crowded conditions as Immigration offices. After the last amnesty expired in September, new and numerous extensions were allowed, despite the long held policy of one extension maximum for certain visas like Tourist. The second allowed extension covers the period up to 29 January.

At this time there are probably few people (?) remaining in Thailand on TR from as far back as March. One wonders what the odds are of new extensions or even a new amnesty, given the current surge in Covid cases.

Usually these issues arise in Cabinet meetings mid month. We'll see what happens this time, but whatever the rationale was for issuing amnesty or extensions is likely more true today than even back in November.

    Let the speculation begin.

There's absolutely no reason for anyone on a 1 year visa or 1 year extension to do a TM47, period! If they need to know then just write a simple SQL statement and query the database for God's sake!!! ????

So today's total of new cases is going to top 1,000 for the first time. Might even top 1,500 if it's been a bad day in the provinces.

Mr Prayut, this is not something to be proud of. Listen to your experts in the CCSA, for goodness sake. Get your finger out and fix it!

We can all thank those in charge for letting this happen. There's absolutely no reason why foreign workers should have ever been allowed to come into the country when so many people are out of work. Enforce the minimum wage laws and imprison those that violate it, period! Stop giving government handouts to people that don't want to work, period!

You can have the account a joint signatory which is not a joint account. If I go the Mrs can go in an take out what she wants, the bank are not going to be told i am dead. It's a back up to an ATM card which can always get damaged.

I was wondering about something similar where my death is not reported to the bank and my GF can simply use my ATM card and withdraw (for example) 25,000 baht per month.

However, the Government offices such as immigration are left opened and will be crowded after the long holiday week and weekend, and not just at CW but at the outlying immigration locations where the 4 border countries need to apply for their visas or do 90 day reports.  Silly really.

This is how they plan to deflect blame and pin the second wave on us now ????

You do your 90 day report at Muang Thong Thani.

You will have to change your to Bangkok to it if you have been doing reports to another office.

All my previous TM47's have been done at Chaeng Wattana otherwise I have done them online. I can't seem to find anything definitive on the immigration website (reason for my confusion) pointing to the MTT office or an address for that matter. All I can find directs me to the government center on Chaeng Wattana Rd... See photo from website.

What type of extension will you be applying for?

Are you aware that there are 2 offices at this time. Whether you do it at Chaeng Wattana or at the Muang Thong Thani office. Info for MTT is here: https://bangkokimmigration.com/2020/11/27/ประกาศศูนย์ชั่วคราวเมื/

I'm trying to figure out where I should go in person (in Bangkok) to do my 90 day report (TM47) and a little confused. Chaeng Wattana office or the Muang Thong Thani office?

    Children’s playgrounds

Will they close down the  government building and the parliament?

They close gyms in condos (I never see more than 4 people at a time in my condo gym) but they will pack hundreds of us at a time 5 days a week in the Bangkok immigration office. I thought mass gatherings were illegal? Complete and utter ???????? ????

The fine is actually up to the IO. It can be up to 5,000 baht, but I have never experienced any number other than 2,000 (twice in ten years). Plus, half of one page in your passport for the stamp. You may get lucky if you are super polite, but it is not likely. Excuses are rarely accepted. In my first case, it was the middle of the "100 year flood" back in 2011, which prevented any taxi from getting to Chaeng Wattana. When I finally discovered I could go to Silom, I pointed out to the IO that I was only 2 days late, and it was because of a 100 year flood. The IO laughed at me, and said: "You have a choice. Pay the 2,000 baht fine, or leave Thailand". I paid.

Where is the office on Silom? I need to go on Tuesday ????

Why is immigration still requiring us to report in person to do TM47 when the online system doesn't work? It's to late for me to do mail-in and I don't trust Thailand post as I have had issues with them in the past ????

I’m sorry, but your comment does not make sense. You were not replying to me in the quote of yours that I commented on; you were replying to another poster’s comment.

Consequently, using the possessive determiner “your” towards myself is inaccurate. Maybe you became confused as to whom you were replying to; it’s easily done. Anyhow, Happy New Year

Making personal insults to people merely demonstrates any lack of evidence of your own level of intelligence.

P.S. It should be you’re right, not your right; another one of your mistakes I guess ¯\_()_/¯

Not a mistake, it's called intentionally mocking "YOUR" personal insults. Go back and read "YOUR" own posts...
