You still don't understand the constitution on free speech, it doesn't allow you to incense violence.

Trump didn't incense violence, it's you guys interpretation of it. And obviously Twitter, with a lot of public and political pressure.

Interesting that our core democracy principles are thrown out of the door by the same people who claim they cherish it

if you support Twitter, FB and Instagram censure, then you are not a free speech supporter

You're trying to make it black and white. It's not, no matter what.

it is when it comes to political free speech,

interesting reactions for the anti-Trump crowd, I bet they would threw away all those nice principles if it was their "man" in power

they are completely missing the point, I guess people don't deserve "free speech" after all ????

if channels and private organizations are censuring your free speech ability, what's left of it? just an empty promise

I think you are confused about what free speech means. Others have pointed that out to you, but it seems the concept is difficult for you. It isn't that nuanced, but you will have to figure that out.

private organizations can limit "Free Speech" all they want, we know that. Still they are taking away your ability to free speech and your constitutional rights for it. That's all. Not illegal, but their actions is limiting your ability to free speech, and somehow you seem ok with that.

So if you believe or defend "Free speech" and that constitutional right, you shouldn't be happy on Trump suspended account, au contraire. And I think that says a lot for all defending Twitter actions.

  4. news organization are also private businesses, and can self-censor themselves, yet if they had fired one of their news reporter for telling the truth, everyone would be invoking his right to free speech etc... and be outraged by such actions

yet here, Twitter is doing the same, and nobody is outraged? that's just say a lot about where you stand on "free speech", you don't get to choose which platform or which channel you support.

You are either for it, or against it, no matter what.

  5. let's see how you guys react when Twitter shutdowns the account of the next "whistle blower", and the freedom of speech rights will be invoked all over the place

this is a very dangerous trend, you can't deny it, even if you don't like the Twitter account

it's definitely a political statement, quite ironic in some ways since Republicans have been wanting to limit Twitter, Facebook etc... stand on "free speech"

  6. The constitutional right is not limited to the press, or public speaking or even digital platforms, so not sure why you could claim that Twitter is different. They are basically shutting down his right of speech. This is a dangerous trend. And this doesn't only address Trump but also future participants who might be censored under public or even political pressure.

Trump might sound like an irrational fool on Twitter, but it's his right to be, and terminating his account is sending a very dangerous signal for the future.

First, what major country doesn't engage in spying?  Answer? NONE.

Second. It's all about the law. Break it and there should be consequences.

It's up to the courts to decide. Not you and me. Luckily!  LOL

How about the CIA and Pentagon breaking laws all the time? you don't seem to have a problem for that ????

What about breaking international laws, like the Geneva convention, which is above the US constitution, like all supranational agreements ????

those who have never served seem to think that war is some kind of kids movie, where people, get shot , fall over, but then go home afterwards , no blood and guts. no innocents killed, just bad troops on the other side.  War is ugly and brutal and people die, lots of them and if you look at the stats for WW2, more civilians in France died after D Day than Allied troops. War is not Disney Land.  Assuage, or whatever his name is (i couldn't even be bothered to find out), told us nothing that thinking people didn't  already know. All he did was put the lives of those who serve, especially in the Security Services, at risk. I hope the US locks him up for ever.

he didn't put anyone in danger by publishing those horrible images, this is an old argument that authoritarians and fascists love to promote to conceal their evil ways

Customers in Europe hit by post-Brexit charges when buying from UK

“We bought a €47 [£42] shelf from Next for our bathroom,” said Thom Basely, who lives in Marseille. “On the morning it was supposed to be delivered we received an ‘import duty/tax’ demand for over €30, like a ransom note. It came as a complete surprise.”

how can it come to a surprise? haven't they follow the news about Brexit?

I have, still only get just over 200Mbps.

check your LAN settings, make sure it has Gigabits turned on, full duplex 100Mbit has only a top speed of 200MB/sec

it's possible that your WIFI is old generation and that your LAN connection is not Gigabit Ethernet and of course your router LAN connectors might not be Gigabit Ethernet

You can buy a USB Wifi 5Gz (AC) dongle for 500 THB, much better than buying a new PC ????

Well you chose three examples where they are failing, Australia and NZ would be opposite examples of Western Countries doing well. Common factor is stopping inward flights, and compulsory quarantine. Thailand shone, until the Covid took a grip in a border country where they get their cheap labour from, in Burma Covid took off post September. Thailand took it's eye off the ball.....

Australia and NZ succeeded because they are geographically isolated islands (one continent for Australia), easier to control inflows, and immigration and their population density is very low

Your router should offer two wifi networks, one on the 2.4Ghz band, which you are probably connected to, and another one on the 5Ghz band, which the technician probably used. But 5Ghz is only working well in close proximity to the router, so if you are in the next room you will surely not get 800mbps.

Post the exact model of your laptop, then we can tell you if your laptop supports this or not.

bingo, sounds like a 5Ghz issue, rather than 5G, typical Thai style confusion with technology

Do you think the democratically elected western leaders have done a better job?

I really don't see any reason to knock the Thai government over this, when nobody in the world appears to have done better.

that's very true, everyone has failed, as predicted

but having tired old army leaders giving lessons is not making things easier, and just feel like a trigger for revolts
