It's worth pointing out amidst all this outrage about the reported hack of US systems, that we do not know what if indeed anything happened.  We can only rely on the reports of the intelligence community and private companies to tell us what happened and who might have been responsible.  We will never see anything that would constitute evidence and could not evaluate it if we did.  In addition, there will never be any real world result that can definitively be attributed to this hack.  Sort of like the Chelsea Manning or Ed Snowden revelations.  The intelligence community screams about all the damage they did, but we can only take there word for it.

For my part, I intend to ignore the whole incident as not worth my time to think about.

absolutely, and let's not forget that the CIA has its own agenda, and is nothing more than a political police for international affairs

it's interesting to see anti-Trump supporters defending the CIA lies, when they were pointing out those some lies when it was  another POTUS

BS. Trump mislead you on purpose.  I reference others as many of us knew the truth and accepted the science.  Not the political propaganda.

So, he lied about it, down played masks/social distancing, etc, and yes, that makes him responsible.  He is the president.  The buck stops there.  It's been suggested an early mask mandate, like the one we had here, would have saved over 50,000 lives.  I'm sure that's up to 100,000 lives now.

If Trump knew the virus was unbeatable, why did he say otherwise?

The Chinese succeed in their shutdown.  They're operating at full steam, the US is barely walking.  So, who did better?

I think you are being easily misinformed with fake news,

the science is not unanimous on covid, as it should (science is about questioning, not unanimous answer),  there is only interpretation of the science by "experts", so they all have different opinions. Trump chose not to follow the "official" one, and he is perfectly entitled to that, he takes the "political" decision, not science or the experts. And he was right. You or others might not agree with his decision, but it's irrelevant.

The Chinese are having a third wave, so is South Korea and Thailand. There is no stopping to it. You can't take officially what the Chinese are saying, they lied for months about their numbers, and now you want to believe them that they have everything "in control"? they don't, hence why nobody can enter or leave the country, unless they have a very good reason.

Why fix something that's not broken?

P.S. Not sure if you are from the US or not, but states are in charge of voting.  Not the feds.

yes I know the states are in charge, see my post above, so they need to have a federal law to force the state to certain requirements for the voting process

the current voting system is broken for years, we had the same problem in 2000 with GW Bush, and it will happen again after this election
