all this discussion is academic anyhow, Boris knows he can't go for "No Deal" to please only a small minority of loons and alienate everyone else in England, and having to quit over the whole affair for creating complete chaos on 1/1/2021, and looking like the bad PM that he is (and being remembered for it in history, damaging his good name and his family name)
he is desperate for a deal, and he is going to get it with EU terms

The biggest difference since Covid is yes many bars closed and less live music options however your comment re nobody to serve just means you don't know where to go both for farang and Thai places. Thailand is fantastic right now.

in defense to the Brexitteers, they had plenty of reasons to be mad with their politicians for the last 20 years, they were being neglected, and yes they did live in the past simply because their idiot politicians were not offering a clear roadmap for a better future and kept blaming the EU for their constant failures to achieve anything in the present
but Brexiteers are misguided to think things will improve sans deal, it will actually get worse
or well, live and learn, and let's meet again for that deal in 6 months ????
