The EU side can't say they won't extend the deadline because that would be an exit strategy for Boris to blame the EU
so at the end, the extension is on the UK side, and Boris just blinked publicly in broad daylight
UK: -1, EU: 2

A kind of Singapore on Thames is exactly what is feared most in Berlin and this is why Germany will do everything it takes to avoid a trade war and to get Monsieur Barnier and France off their high horse.

Mostly, yes. Which is great.
Remainers were telling us that nobody would sign deals with rubbish little UK, that we'd be out on our own as Pariahs. No friends, No deals. Isolated in the world.
But then shock horror. An amazing turn of events. It turns out pretty much everyone except the EU is happy to do a fair FTA with us. And mostly given us the same trade terms that the "Mighty EU" took decades to negotiate. Who'd have thought it? ????
nothing has been signed yet, it's all declaration of intentions, basically posturing "hot air" ????

The E.U agreed to and wanted an extension of the talks and negotiations .
You could have disagreed and walked away if you wanted to
It takes two to Tango
True, but they are not the fools here, they know the Brits will suffer and disruption is never a good thing for both parties
Boris is foolish and a poker player, except he is not playing with his money, so he is going to lose it all, all for show

Deadline for Brexit Trade Talks Is Extended. Again.
Britain and the European Union agreed to give the seemingly intractable negotiations yet more time in an attempt to strike a deal and avoid a disruptive no-deal outcome before Dec. 31.Deadline for Brexit Trade Talks Is Extended. Again. - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
Boris is desperate for that deal and it's starting to show
his little bluff didn't work with the EU, we Europeans are not as gullible as the British voters ????

some nice comments from the BBC on that Brexit deadline story
"Yeah, we pretty much knew Sunday wouldn't be the absolute final deadline when Dominic Raab said earlier this week that it definitely would be. Someone who campaigned for Brexit, then became Brexit Secretary, and only then understood the full extent of our reliance on the Dover-Calais crossing, isn't someone whose grasp of a situation should be entirely trusted."
"How could anyone who saw him on the Marr show this morning, pathetically trying to gaslight the entire country into thinking his previous promises weren't actually what he said at the time, think anything other than this guy hasn't been on the right side of an argument since birth."
"Well Mr Johnson. Decision time is fast approaching.
No Deal and destroy the country
or
Deal and destroy your political career.
Let's see where your loyalties truly lie."- 2

indeed, if Boris was so convinced that WTO deal was the best way to go, why did he keep coming back to the negotiating table?

The UK is run by dangerous fools and I feel sorry for the poor honorable Brits who will have to endure their stupid decisions

in defense to the Brexitteers, they had plenty of reasons to be mad with their politicians for the last 20 years, they were being neglected, and yes they did live in the past simply because their idiot politicians were not offering a clear roadmap for a better future and kept blaming the EU for their constant failures to achieve anything in the present
but Brexiteers are misguided to think things will improve sans deal, it will actually get worse
or well, live and learn, and let's meet again for that deal in 6 months ????

they signed minutes of a meeting about FTAs, that's nothing, it will be decades to negotiate significant deals to supplement the WTO and replace the EU deal
I am convinced that the next PM will surrender to EU demands once they realize their mistakes

there is no such thing as sovereign territory when it comes to global trades, this is not 1750
you can't have both, it's that simple

Farage stood before the E.U and asked you, pleaded with you , to grant no more extensions to the on-going talks and to let is leave , the E.U Parliament ignored that and gave an extension to the discussions , forcing us to stay
I agree with you, complete waste of time, but if we hadn't, you 2 face liar politicians would have come back a few months later claiming that they needed more time and weren't given that time by the evil EU, and would have tell their gullible population how it was all the EU fault for the chaos that followed the hard brexit

We have indeed left and we are in discussions , the option has always been for the E.U to walk away and to have no more negotiations or discussions with us , but you kept persevering with them .
The E.U could have said no more extensions to the discussions , we even pleaded with you to do that , but no, you refused and kept us in the E.U for a few more years
the reason for that, is that if we didn't, and because of your short memory, you would have accused the EU of not granting you an extension to plea your case
but you are right, Barnier should have said to Maybot and her team to <deleted> off on day 1 ????
complete waste of time, but we knew that already, but what do you do with a bunch of moaning Brexiteers ????

it's beyond naive to think the WTO will not "dictate" trade conditions, some even less favorable that the EU ones
WTO is the baseline, it doesn't cover enough, hence why most countries enter into FTAs to boost their trades
WTO is the poor man entry to global trades,

there is no point in talking with Boris, he is a liar and 2-face fool, thinks he can get away with it simply because he got elected by a bunch of gullible fools
I can't believe the British people can fall for the lies of their politicians, in most countries, the people will have burn them at the stake, in England, they quietly retire in their summer residence in Spain

Here are my bold predictions ????
1. No deal, and chaos in the UK will endure
2. PM BoJo quit (flee) in the middle of the chaos, like Cameron and Farange did
3. A new PM is named (Maybot?)
4. The new PM promise to end the chaos by signing a new deal with the EU
5. The new PM capitulates to EU demand, and BREXIT becomes BINO ????
6. The EU owns YOU, Brexitteers <deleted> up, down, left and right ????
The end
