  1. Actually, everything I've ever replied about has been fact based. I don't make opinions, because they mean nothing. A couple like you have said the same thing, and haven't backed it up by proving anything I've written as wrong. Many others have agreed with me because, they also are intelligent and research.
  2. Your opinion is again noted, and again, wrong. You chose places in the US that didn't make healthy dishes. I lived there 62 years, and NEVER had any issues with my stomach . Read this article, and don't SKIM................https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/is-pizza-healthy#a-healthy-choice
  3. I never write nonsense, You obviously know nothing about nutrition, and may never have ever read much on it. I have daily for 50 plus years, and staying healthy and strong all my life has proven it. I have given diet advice to thousands while training and working out, and they all benefited from it. That comes from a person that does his homework, and not one who assumes , thinking they know nutrition from reading a few articles from others opinions. You have to put in the time to know any particular subject. Not skim.
  4. You keep saying the same things, and are still wrong. Pizza is not unhealthy if you go to a place that makes it healthy. New York style pizza is a style, and thousands of places make it, and some are healthy, some aren't. You do not know nutrition, as your replies have shown. A person can make his own food, at home, or go to restaurants that cook healthy, instead of going to places that don't. I make Lasagne, with Parmesan, Mozzarella, and Ricotta cheese, part skim. I use good sauces, those I've known for many years and have yes, read the labels, or I make my own. I use Ronzoni or Barilla noodles, ground chicken and chicken sausage. Very healthy. If I want more flavor, I will use real Italian sausage and ground sirloin. Still not too heavy, and mostly healthy ingredients. I didn't say deep fried is healthy, so I'm guessing, like many, you skim over what people write, looking for things that don't match your opinions. Doesn't work, and isn't here.
  5. I'm guessing you haven't had NY style pizza, from the NYC area, too many times? I've had it hundreds of times, and personally know many restaurant owners. How many burger joints have you gone to? I've also been to many, in many states and countries. Some use very good ingredients, some don't. And what is unhealthy about eating a hamburger bun once in a while? Nothing. Again, I'm not talking about fast food chains. I don't have to take a closer look at anything, as I have , again, been doing this for over 50 years and I read labels all the time.
  6. Having no health problems for all of my life, low bodyfat, and one colonoscopy, at 68, which had no polyps, shows I've eaten healthy. Those foods can be healthy, period. I'm sorry you don't understand nutrition and need to post links of others opinions, when every nutritionist I've ever talked to, or read, has said the same things I just did.
  7. I don't stop because what I say is right. Your opinions are noted, but also wrong. I never said anything about pizza here. I said pizza, along with the other things, can be healthy. I know what they put on pizza, and what's in burgers, both here and back home. Remember, I did say I've been doing this for over 50 years. That kinda gives you a little bit of knowledge on the subject. I didn't modify anything. Read my first reply to your question....................Can you break it down, explaining to me what makes New York style pizza healthy food...or in fact any of what you have mentioned other than the swordfish? ..........................Pizza has tomatoes and cheese, which are healthy. Added ingredients can be mushrooms, chicken, anchovies, pineapple, fish, veggies and other healthy ingredients. It's high calorie, but in moderation is fine. A cheeseburger, with lean beef, cheese, tomatoes, onion, lettuce and a good bun is also healthy if you don't load on anything else or bacon. Shrimp Scampi isn't too bad besides the oil, but the main ingredient is shrimp. Lasagne,......... noodles, sauce, cheese, all good things. Portion sizes is what hurts some people. Texas BBQ, lean, is just lean beef. You trim the fat, and it's just like a steak, and not use too much BBQ sauce. There are countless healthy dishes which people can ruin by adding too much oil, sugar or salt. It's mainly the sugars which hurt people, meaning refined and added sugars. Deep frying isn't healthy either, so that's always been off limits for me besides the very occasional piece. .................... I didn't say ALL pizza, burgers, lasagne, or Scampi. I said they CAN be healthy, depending on who makes them, myself included, along with countless other places I've eaten more than twice that cook healthy pizza, burgers, scampi et al. You assume they can't, for whatever reasons you might have. They all are healthy, IF you use the right ingredients.
  8. Been in the game for over 50 years, certified trainer and many nutrition courses. If it's healthy, I will eat it. If not, rarely. I didn't say American cheese. You can make cheeseburgers with Emmenthal, cheddar, baby swiss, gruyere, mozzarella, (same on that pizza in NYC), Bleu, Fontina, and many other cheeses, which also can be used on pizza. Cheese is milk, a tad high in calories but not unhealthy. You don't have to load it on to have a cheeseburger. I have had healthy homemade buns in many burger joints, including two here in Sisaket province. A regular bun is like a roll anywhere. Many burger joints also use good, lean beef. I'm not talking McDonalds here. People get fat from adding too much sauce, sugar, salt, and fried foods. Not from basic ingredients. If you've been to more than a couple pizza places in the US, you would know it's not plastic cheese they use. I've been to hundreds of places in the US. The main cheese there is mozzarella. Anything else is just like the crapola they sell here.
  9. The rich want to be richer, anywhere, and don't like others intruding on their power. They control the world, because it suits them and their cronies. They can easily raise the minimum wage to be at the cost of living, but have always hesitated. Their reasoning is it would lose some jobs, and higher costs for purchases by the businesses that had to up the wages. We could have free health care also. Too much is indeed spent on the military, which has enough weapons to level most countries already. You give to the poor, you take from the rich, and they don't want that happening.

  11. A large majority of drug busts happen because people aren't driving carefully. Like the Clint Eastwood Movie, The Mule, some hire those with good driving records and have less problems.
  12. If he gets falling down drunk nightly obviously that's what he's always been, and maybe is the reason he can't discipline his child. Letting any child get over on you s wrong, especially at such a young age. You're the parent, they listen. Better to have your kids not like you into their adults years by doing the right things than raising someone who will be a narcissist and go out into the world thinking they are entitled , and hurt others. Patience surely goes away as we age, but the job doesn't.
  13. There is also this...........https://www.givelegacy.com/resources/the-impact-of-parental-age-on-intelligence-and-life-span/
  14. True, there are both good and bad that might happen when having children older. I also think the health of the father comes into play. If he has been taking good care of himself it might be different than if he was the average older man who does very little in the way of exercise and eating healthy.
  15. This is more true about third world and developing nations, where older parents are still in old school lifestyles, and their children are into the media craze, which teaches them a lot of what's going on in the world just by being on their phones all day long. In the west, even though the children are doing much the same things, they are coming from better schooling, a more developed news culture, parents with higher IQ's and more involved parents in general than what happens , in this case, here. I'm wondering if he was thinking about Thailand when he made that statement or of the world's children in general.
  16. The chances of a child having autism have increased worldwide but not because of age of a parent. 1 in 36 born now has autism, up from 1 in 44 not too long before. There are studies going on now , trying to figure out a cause for this. My daughter had to be delivered caesarean at 8 months because she was too big. The doctor thought her mom would suffer if left to full term. Smaller birth rates is a concern for fathering a child as an older man, although it didn't happen with us.
  17. Why are older parents out of touch with the real world? I would think the older you are, the wiser you are, especially if you're an intelligent person to start with. Parenting and raising children has no age limit, and it doesn't matter what's going on in the world as far as raising your kids with respect, morals, and a caring attitude are concerned. Playing with your kids is fine, but the most important things are providing, discipline, teaching morals, right from wrong, respect for elders, animals and others in general, and showing them how you treat others around you, especially their mom. Better to give 10 good years to your kids than being absent like millions of fathers are.
  18. 'm thinking it's actually better to be a good father at any age than being absent when the children are young, age 0-5, which are the most important ages a child goes through, learning most of what they need to know. I'm actually still in Thailand, only because I'm waiting for the right time to re-establish back in the US with her. We had her when I was 60, 68 now, and still in good health. Of course I hope to live long enough to see her independent in the world at 20 or more. Many fathers don't give a rats ass about their children, and leave raising up to the mothers or grandmas, especially here, which isn't a good thing for any child, so a father in a child's life is very important, especially in those formative years.
  19. Nothing wrong with catch and release and even some fish kept as dinner, especially if this lake was as over populated with fish as I've seen in many other temple lakes. They keep stocking the fish and have to supplement feed them because there are way too many. carrying capacity is what should be done with all wildlife. If there are too many, you take a few out and feed a poor family. If there are too little, you can take some from other over populated lakes and stock them . The idea that Thais aren't killers has never been right as they eat anything that moves. There aren't any deer roaming Thailand besides in a few provincial parks because all the other deer were killed off. They have some conservation but it's mostly in those parks to have tourism. You rarely see any other wildlife for the same reason, besides snakes, which most should be killed an eaten anyway because many here can kill you very quick. Back in the US, they have wildlife managers, along with hunting for all game species and every state has plenty of wildlife because of limits and conservation, along with millions from hunters put towards the same.
  20. Why have cats if they're to be kept in cages? Cats are roamers, and should be outside most of the time. Spay and neuter them so they don't make more kittens, piss all over and fight through the night. 29 is about 25 too many anyway. I understand some take care of cats, but get them fixed , as this is irresponsible and cruel.
  21. Food isn't bad for us unless we east junk food, especially all the time. There is a lot of delicious healthy and somewhat healthy food out there, as it's all I've ever eaten besides the occasional junk food. Try Texas BBQ, New York style pizza, Shrimp Scampi, Lasagne (homemade), Australian, Texas, or a myriad of other cheeseburgers, Broiled Swordfish, and a host of others who might have some extra calories but are still healthy food.
  22. The most important thing in life is your relationships. With your wife, or partner, children, friends and most of all, with God. Food is important because you can't live without it, and God gave us taste buds for a reason, otherwise we would all just eat things that are healthy and it wouldn't be about taste.
  23. I've never been to Australia, but I do know their beef is world class. I found this easy, so I'm guessing they do have decent food there...............https://www.australia.com/en/things-to-do/food-and-drinks/guide-to-australian-cuisine.html.
  24. In America, you can find food from everywhere in the world, and as good or better than where they originated. This is because America is all countries in one place, where chefs came from their native lands and opened restaurants and used their recipes to create food for Americans. Fast food tastes the same all over. Third rate at best and usually unhealthy. Thailand does have some good restaurants, both western and Thai food. I've had Thai food in Texas that's as good as any I've had here, and my girlfriend is a good cook.
  25. True, because their homes and everyone in them are included. I'm thinking of the higher percentage of people that owe more then what they have paid off. Many people are just getting by and in danger of losing homes and cars than own them outright. Many are in major debt and are living paycheck to paycheck, although their homes and other assets does increase their net worth. I have known thousands of people while living there, and only a few were doing okay, with the remainder needing to save just to have a yearly one week vacation.
