  1. Randomly means taking without being prescribed for a disease you already have. Don't guess what others are doing as you don't know many people, personally, especially those that are into taking drugs . A condom is always the safest precaution besides abstinence. Promoting this behavior doesn't make you look too good, but those in denial usually stay that way a long time. Your words.............I've told a couple of girls i got an STI from them told them what they need to take but they just deny it, so i gave up telling them, You keep getting STI's and spread them with no conscience, so don't refer to anything I say as stupid. .
  2. "It's just that I rarely meet anyone who has a touch of class.....and someone who measures up to my standards.".................... This smells of narcissism and arrogance, along with many statements of you having a very high IQ, which is something people who are very intelligent don't do. ............... I don't like to meet up with old women of class, of course.... "Those old bags are just a total turnoff for the likes of me" ...................Another narcissistic statement. The likes of you? What gives you class or makes you so special?...........................".I like to associate with guys of class and intelligence, and guys who are refined"..................What makes you think you deserve hanging around with those of class, and why wouldn't you hang with guys who aren't that smart, or refined? Does this make them inferior in your eyes? . ..........................".What is my best solution?."...................Look up narcissism, and why people feel the need to brag about their supposed IQ. If you can rise above it, which a true narcissist rarely does, you can then look at others as equals, and find more friends that way because, everyone is your equal, as far as being a person. Some people are bad and some are good, and most a blend of both, but, everyone is equal as far as being a person. Having class means you treat everyone the same, and don't look down on anyone because they have less than you do.
  3. Not quite what? STD's are extremely high here, as this is a sex capital. Being in denial or just randomly taking drugs to try and prevent STD spread is a very stupid idea. If you're going to have sex, and PrEP was designed for those having sex with men, it's still safer to use a condom, unless you like playing Russian Roulette with your health, along with other's health you have sex with after. Of course many who have sex with prostitutes aren't thinking of anyone's health in the first place. Many people die each year thinking they are somehow immune, and many more get diseases they can't get rid of, then spread them around because, again, they don't give a sh*t about anyone besides their own pleasure. Another add on. There are children sometimes created by these encounters, and they end up without fathers, and we all see, daily, what happens to children without a fathers guidance.
  4. All the time in the US, and I have saved many of them from tickets, as they have saved me. truckers show their appreciation by flashing back, knowing you saved them from a money loss. They do it here but not as much as back home.
  5. Which is why STD'S run rampant here, and this isn't something many people like to talk about, so the occurrence is much higher than you realize. And taking antibiotics when you don't need them makes you more prone to being resistant to their benefits when you do need them. When someone gets an STD, it's too late to be proud of not using a condom.
  6. Back home in the US. And people don't reincarnate, no matter where you die. You get one chance to make things right. Life isn't as precious here as in the west, so fear doesn't come into play as much.
  7. They have a spay/neuter program that goes around, but it needs to be government funded, and countrywide, to do more good. Many stray dogs are born stray, from strays, and essentially from dogs people owned who let them run free without taking the time or money to fix them, not caring about the inevitable outcome. People don't care about animals here like they do in the west, with a few exceptions I have seen. The Buddhist attitude says no killing, yet people kill others daily here , so that means little in a population where a lot are practicing Buddhists. This is something the authorities has to take charge over, as they do most everything else, but for the greater good of all people here, instead of just a select few that have money to burn. When one of the rich's relatives is attacked or killed, maybe then something might be done. Rottweilers and all dogs have the ability to hurt people, aggressive or not. It's just that some breeds can kill very quickly because of their strength.
  8. They have all they need to do their jobs. They get paid. Laws are broken all day long here, and we as foreigners see them all day long. Doesn't take much to pull over people speeding, cutting off others, driving without helmets or more than 2 on a scooter. Then they can find out many aren't licensed, have insurance or are under aged. bringing in more revenue and likely saving lives. Simple solution that's been pointed out here many times. Pay is quite good, and this is how many stations there are countrywide, with other info.............https://police-station.com/list-of-royal-thai-police-stations-rtp-in-thailand/
  9. I'm thinking a lot still favor it, including parents that act the same way. The lack of concern for children here is off the scales, and many parents like having children in school because then they are out of their hair. School is the babysitter from 8-4. If the child disobeys, it's okay if they're hit. I mentioned this earlier. My daughter's Thai teacher hits the kids with a stick, at least she did until I addressed it with the supervisor. My daughter said she hit her on the butt and this is what had me talk to the supervisor, asking her to talk to the teacher, which she did. I saw it again, and repeated my concerns. I told her this was against the law and I wouldn't put up with it. I didn't want to confront the teacher as it is a female, so I let the supervisor do her thing. My daughter said she hasn't hit her since.
  10. Hitting just teaches that hitting is the answer. It isn't. I was hit a couple of times by my dad, so few I remember them, and I only hit all of my 6 children a few times total, and none after the first two. It bothered me more than them. They grew up respectful of authority, elders, animals and partners. I never thought my dad was abusive even though he hit me those few times, but I respected and feared his punishment, mostly because of his words. Society is out of control mainly because of absent parents, or ones that abuse or neglect their children. The least of all is not teaching them respect for life. Everything a person learns starts at home. Peer pressure hurts somewhat but if the child is consistently taught at home what life means, they'll usually remember those lessons.
  11. Yes, and the same thing should happen to them as this dog. Killing innocents means eradication of those doing it. I love dogs but this one has taken a life, meaning it's a dangerous animal that has no home.
  12. Never cheated on girlfriend or wife here. If you need someone else, it's best to let the girl find someone that really loves and respects her, so she doesn't waste her time with someone who doesn't.
  13. Yet another reason to move back to Texas....................https://aqicn.org/map/texas/
  14. But that would mean you would have to leave your air conditioned apartment.
  15. I stand corrected as far as there are people that can get insurance for their houses. I'm just aware of the higher price and the reluctance of some companies to cover. Yes, I'm aware of the NFIP. I know a few that couldn't get covered by their insurance companies, but I'm guessing they didn't try the program and moved. It might get to be too much eventually with all the flooding that's been increasing and I still think it's very dumb to build in such an area, as history tends to repeat itself as far as flooding. Bangkok and New Orleans will continue to suffer because of greed and foolishness.
  16. Best not to argue religion or the belief, or non belief, in God, as neither side can prove otherwise, besides what we see daily as the miracle of life, and there isn't a way possible that all of it came from nothing. That can bring arguments that always end up the same way. Someone is wrong and someone is right, and the only way we'll all know is when we die. I don't believe in God because anyone brainwashed me, nor that all in the Bible is real, because it seems some might not be. I believe from faith, common sense and hope there's something better than all the sh*t we see daily.
  17. I'm not as victim of anything besides bad judgement in finding a girlfriend here, then wife. I'm not near gullible and don't trust anyone unless they prove themselves, and go by facts instead of opinions. How am I a victim of false marketing if you're stating that Pattaya, for one, isn't the paradise some make it sound like.? I'm saying there is no paradise here, that you can make a good life for yourself if you pick a good partner, work hard and stay out of trouble, but you'll still succumb to disease, old age and death, and most will not get what they want in life. They might get what they need, but everyone wants more, including the greedy rich who seem to have everything. The things you mentioned I'm agreeing with. Paradise isn't here but you might have a decent life if you don't take what you have for granted.
  18. Discipline doesn't mean abuse, or needing to hit a child when they're just being kids. Most everyone has spanked their child, at least a few times, as I did with my first two children. It bothered me more than them, although they did respect me in the house. The next three never got hit at all. The only one that's really having problems is the one who moved near her mother at 19. the others who stayed with me are doing well. Hitting teaches them to hit others, besides in self defense, which is something I also taught. No one touches you and gets away with it. You teach your kids respect for authority when young, they'll follow it in school and in life. Doesn't mean they let others control them. Teachers have no right to touch a child. If you can't control a child in school, you have the parents pick them up. Thailand has a major problem where grandparents are the primary caregivers in more than 35% of households. This isn't normal and leads to problems. My daughter's school has a teacher who walks around with a stick, hitting the kids when they do the very slightest thing. This is abuse and I told the supervisor I won't allow this to happen to my daughter, or the teacher would be history. She had to talk to her two times and hopefully she stops it. She was obviously raised by the same type of parent I see walking around here daily, armed with a stick to keep their cattle in line. The only way this will stop is enforcing the laws regarding corporal punishment. A teacher hits a student, especially if the student isn't in an abusive mode, hitting others, and the teacher is fired. There is such a thing as restraint.
  19. True, aging isn't always pain free. This is why faith has us looking at a better place with no pain afterwards. I hated seeing my parents in pain as they aged, and my body tells me I'm not that young anymore. I'm guessing we'll all get the answers we seek when we meet God.
  20. The OP asked what paradise should be. Most people look at paradise as something we get after we pass. Some think they have paradise on earth, but paradise excludes disease, old age, pain, surrounded by all the money you need for anything you want, and friends you can trust. Who has that here? No paradise here. Some have a good life, but no one gets out of here alive, meaning it isn't paradise and isn't supposed to be. That's the main reason God allows so much crapola to happen. So we can look forward to a better place after we die. Paradise. Some here have a lot of "things" they can't take with them when they die. Can't buy health, love, respect r happiness with money. Just temporary things.
  21. Accepting Jesus just before you pass isn't quite going to help you, if you don't repent of what you've done all your life. God isn't a fool. All the people in the west aren't rich. In fact most just get by and have severe debt, and there is quite a bit of corruption in all countries, although it is higher in poorer countries like this one. Good jobs there have lots of competition, and there are thousands of homeless in western countries, something that people here don't quite get. Countries aren't rich. People are, and the ones with the most money usually aren't helping others besides using it as a tax write off. I don't have a religious idea. I believe in God and his laws make sense. He made everything, and has the right to govern what we do. Some, meaning many people, are rich because they hurt others, in one way or another. Nothing to be jealous of, because karma gets everyone in the end, and you can't fool God.
  22. 0, but what you eat afterwards has quite a few.
  23. I'm guessing you haven't tried the multitudes of healthy, delicious food that the world has available. Sugar blinds your taste buds to real tastes. When you get addicted to sugar and salt, along with chili, you lose the ability to enjoy the full flavors of food. Italian food is the best, to me, and it's not all unhealthy fattening food. Neither is Japanese, Korean, South American, Indian, Seafood, Asian and others. Not quite as boring as you would think. Texas BBQ, Indian Curry, Sushi, Meatball Parmigiana, Veal Parmigiana, New York pizza with mushrooms and Italian sausage, Cheese Omelette, T-Bone steak, Shrimp Scampi, Broiled Swordfish, Wagyu Beef cheeseburger with onions, just to name a few that aren't unhealthy and delicious. If you limit your calories and usually eat healthy, you won't get fat and you'll enjoy the foods life has available.
  24. The reason there is a paradise afterwards is because there are a select few here that make this a hell, no matter what you do . You can work your arse off all your life here, doing a job that helps society, and end up with very little, especially if you are taking care of a family. You can also rape the earth, scam people, throw families out of their homes, move money around for other rich, sell people for profit, deal drugs, and do other useless jobs9Except for you and other rich people), and end up with a mansion and cocaine parties with beautiful greedy women, and you won't make it into paradise. God would surely not make all of us and expect us to do good, follow his laws, and end up with nothing after we pass.
  25. I know this from living in Texas for 32 years. Many places are becoming un insurable every year.
