  1. If the posts are going to be on government land, they are the ones to ask. The property owners bordering this government land should not have any say so.
  2. That's saying all Thai women are into getting money from boyfriends? How much do you think locals give for an allowance here? This one is a student, and not all students pay their way sleeping around with farangs. Some have families that actually do the part of parenting , are in two parent households, and help their kids further their education. When a woman has had kids already with a local that left town, and they had to raise the kids themselves or with help from grandma, those are the ones that will hope they find someone who will help them out, as is the case with many of us here that help support a girlfriend. Yes, there are many that feed off of farangs that don't live here, and send them money, and the plethora of greedy bar girls and women who won't work. This again, is a student, so give them the benefit of the doubt, and stop assuming the worse. She might be a keeper, or not. In time he will find out.
  3. My son has his basic license, and is trying for commercial now.

Globalhouse carries Makita tools. Not sure if they have the right one you're looking for.
  5. I love all fruits, but sometimes , like everyone else on earth, things don't go well down inside. I've eaten very healthy all of my life, with few exceptions , yet still get stomach trouble. Some things just don't mix, and some things you can be allergic to, and eat them all your life. The only way to know is an expensive food allergy test. Wheat can be handled by many, but hurt some. Rice is the least allergenic of all grains, but some might have trouble with it, especially here, where it's eaten every meal. Cow's milk is one of the most allergenic of foods, but it's promoted worldwide, especially to children, who can go without it and still thrive. Peanuts and shellfish are very healthy, but can kill some. Trial and error.
  6. A woman that's been damaged can be the best partner you'll ever have, or the toughest nut to crack. All depends on her ability to trust again. When a woman wants to be with a man, and vice-versa, they have to trust 100%, and that can bring damage to them if the other partner doesn't act the part. Attraction is easy. It's not a choice. Actually loving someone unconditionally is the hard part.
  7. Yes, or album, like that person said. I myself have thousands of cd's. but when I talk to friends, I'll say I have their new album. It's ingrained.
  8. I was just responding to what I saw as also a sarcastic reply. Not an insult. It's still referred to videotaping by many, although it can be either. No tape involved, no film, but still in the minds of many. This is an answer one made.............. We still say “turn on” the light even though light switches are no longer rotary. (I’ve heard that this goes back further to gas lamps with rotary valves.) We still say “redial” for repeating a phone call, even though telephones no longer have dials. We still say “tape” for recording a TV show, even though the tape-based VCR is obsolete. “Film” is a shorter, simpler word than “record” or even “video”, and it implies a “voice and video” recording like with a film camera, even though most of us have never owned or used a “video film” camera in our lives. I barely remember the days of 8mm and 16mm amateur recording and I’m on the far side of 45. But it’s been going on for a long time. We refer to a collection of music as an “album”, even though it’s been on one CD or LP record - it goes back to the days of a stack of 72rpm records (with one song each) forming a collection, being stored in a binder with pockets in each page for each record, much like a “photo album” had pockets for individual photos. The LP record (33–1/3 rpm) has been around for over 70 years - at 23 minutes per side, that gave your typical artist anywhere between 11 and 15 songs (at 3–4 minutes each).
  9. Isaan is one of the most boring places on earth, so that's a legitimate statement, although there are things you can do together if she went along. Movies, lunch or dinner dates, walks together. Getting them off their phones without a crowbar isn't easy. no matter the age.
  10. Exactly, and was a big reason my ex and I divorced. I tried to help, explaining things, most of which she didn't , or didn't want to understand. If you don't communicate daily, trouble happens. They they resort to their friends, phones or silence.
  11. Both replies might be right on because of possible childhood trauma. More than 35% of children here are raised by grandparents, some of whom may be illiterate, abusive or neglectful. Kids without parental contact suffer a lot going into adolescence. Being in her twenties and always on the phone is normal here, because that's what they all see with their friends, and many parents. Control from authoritarian caregivers teaches them they cannot speak without reprisal, and that continues in schools here. Stunted growth and fear of being able to speak your mind. She might like sex but fears it and intimacy for a number of reasons.
  12. Every answer here, strangely, can be the correct one for your situation. The only way you'll know is time. Liars will always show it eventually. She might be damaged goods from childhood, and although she's attracted to men, she might fear them, and want distance as not to be controlled. Being sore doesn't sound kosher, but you never know. More lubrication needed, a possible STI, too rough a few days earlier, or a possible medical condition. Every thing she says might be the truth, or some might be half truths. If you really like here, don't expect much and take things as they are. trust here if that's your way, and let time decide if she's worthy of it.
  13. All healthy but you might want to know, mixing melons with other fruits isn't good. Either is mixing sweet fruits with acidic fruits. Digestion is always hindered. Same with many fruit and vegetable mixes. Sounds healthy but some things digest better with others and not with some.
  14. Like I said, you never know what or who a person here is until you actually meet them in person, and spend some quality time with them. I've always been honest here about who and what I am, but that doesn't mean anyone will believe me. At least not until we sat together and talked awhile. Some might not like to be corrected, argued with, or found out and get angry against someone because of it, then look at all of their posts as lies. An admitted alcoholic might be someone who's never drank an ounce, but is stirring things up to get a laugh or a response. Like your handle, Handsome Tall Farang. You might be a short, chubby Thai local , a handsome tall farang or someone with a huge ego. I've watched what a lot of people say here, and some of it is plain BS, some is legitimate and some is downright wrong, although to them it is right. Some post things just to see others argue against it, even though they know they're posting nonsense. Some post things to help others, and some to hurt. There are surely those that live in England, Japan, New Caledonia, Portugal, Nova Scotia or Devil's Island, and say they're in Pattaya.. or Mae Sot. You just never know.
  15. I've been around long enough, and lived in big city areas all of my life, around thousands of different people of all races and creeds, until now, to know what people do to try and impress others. They say they exercise, when they're always at home eating, or eat healthy, and crave junk food all day long., and are obese. Some make up stories because they know certain people they don't like will respond to them, and they sit back laughing, "got ya". A lot assume all farangs are fat drunks that sit in bars all day and answer on their phones because no one's around for them to talk to. Some of us are fit, social drinkers who eat healthy, don't smoke or cheat on their wives. One thing you can be sure of, you never know anyone that well, even if you see them every day of the week.
  16. Best not to assume, because like all of life, you never know when someone is telling the truth, lying, or just trying to raise a few hackles.
  17. Phones do have video capabilities, or might you not be that updated? The term videotaping is still used, even on phones
  18. I don't know how big the rats you are seeing are, as all of them I've seen here have just been ordinary size, but I remember once when a few friends were walking down a street in NYC, we saw one. At first, one friend commented that what we were seeing was a cat. When I looked closely, I commented, that's not a cat, that's a rat! It was huge, bigger than any rat I'd ever seen then or since.
  19. I fully understand what you're going through. My ex wife's brother, who lives less than a kilo away, has always wanted to be "with" me since I first met the family back in 2015. He's bisexual, and has lived and worked before in Pattaya. He likes farangs, and has been with a few according to him. After the first time my ex left with my daughter, effectively kidnapping her for 2 months, he immediately started hitting on me. At first, I just explained to him (speaks English okay) that I only liked women, and that his sister was my wife and that's another reason, meaning I don't cheat anyway. He came around to the house, not wanting to leave. I videotaped him with him saying he wanted to do you know what. I even posted it on FB for awhile so he might get the picture and back off.I told him to leave. He said he could sleep in another bedroom. I said no, get out before I called the police. I didn't want to forcefully evict him because he was just being a nuisance, so I just waited until he left. Now, after I divorced his sister, he occasionally comes around, two weeks ago the last time, and asks the same questions. I said, "do you think I turned gay all of a sudden"? He tries to grab me but I just push him aside and tell him to go. Persistent bas**rd he is.
  20. Oatmeal with soymilk and Equal, 2 scrambled eggs, multi grain toast with sugar free four fruits jelly, 0% Nescafe coffee with Equal .
  21. That would reduce the adult population by half. Especially concerning women here with knives.
  22. 4.12 to 3.11 actually, so it's a tad higher
  23. I like when some assume things from knowing two or three Americans. I lived there 62 years and knew thousands of men and women. The friends I had all had good looking women. In all my life I've never had anything but a pretty woman. None fat, some around 140 lbs, which isn't fat when they're 5'7" and exercisers. Most were 100-125 lbs. None of my friends nor I were desperate. There are hundreds of thousands of pretty women in America. Granted, a lot are narcissists or greedy, but not all. Obesity isn't just an American thing. In fact, there are quite a few countries that are ahead of the US as far as obesity percentages, and Thailand's catching up every year. You have to live in a country, and get around quite a bit for a few years to make any judgements like that. Visiting vacation spots doesn't help Just like here. A man goes to Pattaya or Phuket and sees slim, pretty women everywhere. You go into Isaan and the big ones outnumber the slim ones. Hardly any good looking girls left?
  24. Lived in the US for 62 years. I think I understand taxes there. US healthcare that is free is Medicare, at least most of it, which is what I have, as stated. I guess you don't read all of a person's post, but just skim over it and then reply. Income taxes aren't paid most of Thais. VAT is already added to sales and services here. Again you assume. And you come from the US? Thought you might know better.
