I always rejected the idea of trying to have a relationship with a very good looking woman as they grow up expecting male attention, and IMO become demanding and high maintenance.

Truly beautiful women don't know they are beautiful. Anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Neither the TAT nor this heinous and toxic administration has ever done anything beneficial for ex-pats here. Ever. We are completely taken for granted, no matter how much we spend. Forgive my skepticism on this proposal. My guess is that it will be about as hard to access, as the 5,000 baht subsidy that 84% of Thais were turned down for.

And if it is accessible, it will be something like Bangkok Airways resident card program. You jump through hoops to pay a fee for a card. Then, you get a discount on the highest price the airline charges for a sector.

Immigration has all of our residence info. If they are serious, just send us cards and instructions on where they can be used. And if not, stop playing games and feeding us poor and inaccurate information constantly. I truly wish the ministries here were run by competent adults.

This is part of the issue. Tourism Ministry needs cooperation from the other ministries. Other ministries are not keen on losing their cash cows, in order to benefit an unrelated ministry. Hence his appeal to the PM in order to convince the others that it is a good idea to drop their nasty two price schemes.

Plenty of laptops can do 5GHz now and it's definitely a dealbreaker for me. 5GHz is faster and better, and if you download and stream you'd definitely want 5GHz capability.

And yes I am aware the review is not the exact model but it's as close as trusted reviews go and many of the specs are the same and it will be helpful to the OP, Kaaskopp.

    ??

I have no idea why you think that it doesn't support the 5 GHz waveband.

It's a good laptop with that novelty display trackpad, however, you will be not be able to use all the WIFI bands available today unless you get a dongle, which is a bit annoying.

Why? It doesn't even mention wireless connectivity and anyway, you've linked to the wrong laptop review.

Not many will come with 802.11 ax. I don't imagine that it will be a dealbreaker.

If they say they will give you software like Windows and Microsoft Outlook for free, tell them to give you the disks, not to upload copies.

    Asus Zenbook UM433DA-A5029T / R5-3500U / 8G / 512SSD / UMA / W10 / 14 "/ Silver

Looks pretty good to me. 8G ram + 512 SSD. Lightweight which I like. 14" Screen 1920 x 1080 resolution, high quality IPS panel.

Lazada list it for 24,750.00 Bt. But IT City in Korat have it listed at 22,990 Bt.

    Any opinions are welcome.

    Looks to fit your criteria.

Mr. Eindhoven, where do you learn all this?  You should run a shop for all of us falang to buy our stuff from! Start a ThaiSim.com blog? Make some money on ads and selling SIM cards.  I'd be a buyer.

Thank you, but making money is never my motivation. Though thanks for the tip.

Well I had the 200B 10MBPS plan and forgot to load 200B. Just loaded it after getting an SMS that there wasn't enough credit.  Will it still renew or have I lost it?  I think its gone right? ????  Oops.  And now I have 200B I can't use.

I got another phone the other day and AIS has a 200B, 10MPBS, 32GB limit.  So almost the same just limited to 32GB which I only exceeded once when I was tethering my laptop.

EDIT: After adding the 200B, it deducted credit and renewed the policy 10 mins later.  Rather nice of them!

It's normal. It will auto-renew for up to twelve months, so will check for credit over some days before giving up. Worst case you reapply the original code to revive. But usually adding credit will do it.

OK. That's a great deal for 5 devices. As for Onedrive, it's not something I would ever want or need to use.  I did a custom install of Office 2019 and didn't install Onedrive or Onedrive for business. I don't use a MS account to log in to Windows anyway.

I don't use OneDrive either. But might come in handy one day. At these prices, who is going to complain?

Is that right? One Thaivisa member who was involved in the topic even came to my house and did about a 100k round trip to help me and showed me some useful things on my PC and smartphone.

The only person leading me on a  wild goose chase was you.

All very nice, but are you downloading YouTube Music videos on your phone? No. Do I know how to do it efficiently? Yes.

If you had PM'd me and asked politely, I may have shown you the way.

I'll leave it to the kind member to show you how to do it and just use the ignore function instead.

We could have had some good chats about bass playing. I have a couple. It wasn't by mistake that the example that I showed was Jaco's Portrait of Tracy.???? Ciao.

    Yes, really!

Have a look at Post #19 or the linked article.

He was not so lucky with automatic extensions.

    Take a look:

    Single trip insurance cover extension

    02/04/2020

We welcome the Government’s announcement to assist with repatriation given the challenges that many people stuck abroad are facing. ABI members are committed to supporting their customers who are stuck abroad at this difficult time.

Most travel insurance policies already automatically extend so that people can continue to be covered against the risk of emergency medical treatment when they are stuck abroad due to ongoing travel restrictions.

Sometimes these extensions have a limit of up to 30 days, however, given the exceptional circumstances leading ABI members will look to extend this protection to cover the risk of emergency medical treatment for up to a minimum of 60 days, provided customers are making every effort to return home.

So you can actually get 60 days of free extensions and possibly continue to pay for further extensions. I haven't checked if the Virgin policy is by an ABI member. Mainly because it makes no difference to me.
