  1. Indeed - they should be better for us by this months medical opinions - but they taste like krap to me. Have given up on FF except when order from outside with burger. Tried about 4 brands of frozen fries and none had good taste out of air fryer.
  2. Believe he is telling the pies/chips to go away - not that he intends to eat them.
  3. Which was why I bought one of those first - negative was small size and it ceased operation within a couple weeks. Find plate type fine once get used to using - fork for most things - scoop for fries and such. Also easier to use with no twisting to lock basket required (in 80's can be an issue).
  4. If the pork pies I eat find them vile above room temp. But then am US so no training on eating beans for breakfast or meat pies. But find both OK. Take frozen meat pie and put in microwave for about a minute and eat about half an hour later. Taste OK when cool or room temp but not to my taste when above that.
  5. Shopee 1490 (but probably cost something for shipment) https://shopee.co.th/TEFAL-หม้อทอดไร้น้ำมัน-ขนาด-4.2-ลิตร-EASY-FRY-CLASSIC-EY201866-รับประกันศูนย์-2-ปี-i.192708321.13549162294
  6. Did not have your answer prior to that post - was headed in the right direction as much shorter than the Lazada link and a much lower price.
  7. How do you get that? I copy address bar and got War & Peace. ????
  8. Have been using this Tefal 4.2L model for almost 2 years and very pleased with it. No issues as all and looks new. It does not have basket like some of the cheap smaller units but even for FF find can easily remove with scoop or large spoon. Simple non digital controls of heat and time. Had a cheap unit sold by supermarket but died within weeks. https://shopee.co.th/TEFAL-หม้อทอดไร้น้ำมัน-รุ่น-EY2018-ประกันศูนย์-2ปี-(EY201866)-i.9585389.4956872573?sp_atk=e098b6c4-2bb8-4127-83cb-a2af81d37c29&xptdk=e098b6c4-2bb8-4127-83cb-a2af81d37c29
  9. Thai gold is based on jewelry usage and at 96% (23k) far better than what we call jewelry gold in western countries (14k or less for most).
  10. You must have a certificate from your Embassy affirming you are not married to register a marriage in Thailand.
  11. Yes - and he can not marry again in Thailand in any case - he is already married. What they could do is change her name to his as there is no longer the old property ownership issue and that might speed things.
  12. Suspect that is a country far far away from USA where the laws are state specific - but in almost all cases spouse gets 50 or 30 percent off the top.
  13. If he is legally married in UK he is married in Thailand. You don't get the option to have more than one wife.
  14. A very good link with complete information. Long but worth the read. https://www.samuiforsale.com/law-texts/thailand-inheritance-laws.html
  15. You used your visa when you entered Thailand - you are now on a one year extension of stay (TM-7) and that expiration date will not change and you will need to obtain a re-entry permit prior to leaving to keep it alive. And then extend using TM-7 before it expires if you plan to stay.
  16. Believe both types are available - the kind you would need is called a multi point.
  17. We assume this is for young person and must be smart phone - but if we are wrong the 300-500 baht Nokia clones (real Nokia much more expensive) work well for phone and SMS use. Another option would be contract for phone they want from AIS/True/DTAC. Some offer very good deals to attract new customers (even free phone) with a contract (which may be within means as any phone is going to require some payment plan).
  18. That was my judgement but admit not being a smart phone fan - being from the pager generation and a ditty bopper.
  19. Not only can not be updated that A57 is full of Chinese text when you try to do anything, even with data turned off and settings seem to change on a whim. That said if really want to learn smart phone probably a good learning tool (I failed). Mine has returned to factory reset and put back in box until I feel 20 years younger. The one thing that did seem to work well was the finger print scanner.
  20. "legal marriage" - there was none. But if they jointly own property (in both names) that would have nothing to do with marriage and continue regardless of their status.
  21. Quick Google: http://www.csbc-law.com/thai-law-insights/untold-story-about-civil-partners-in-thailand.html
  22. AFAIK there is no such thing. You are married by district office registration only.
  23. Thanks - obviously a lot more expensive than I had thought. Mine were done few years ago here in Bangkok at a major private hospital for about 70k including lenses (but mono). Guess prices have greatly increased if paying that without lens at a university hospital.
  24. Indeed - they were a prime killer before electric shower heaters became available here - many deaths during colder months upcountry when people covered windows (most had no external exhaust at all). But they did get hot - normally ran with only one of the three gas jets open here in Bangkok. Not really sure why hot water is desired as normal warm from tap will wash very well and electric drying racks are easily available now to sanitize further without extra plumbing.
