  1. The non O visa will be issued because of your marriage to a Thai (so have proof of that). Once in Thailand you can extend one year at a time with proof of 400k baht in bank account here (those are extensions - not visas - you will need a re-entry permit to return from any travel outside of Thailand.)
  2. In that case you may will be able to use either office as both in the same province.
  3. 1. Most offices will accept a Google Map these days - and yes it may be required for retirement extensions - has always been asked here in Bangkok. 2. Proof of residence can vary but here in Bangkok they accept my TM30 receipt. 3. You can only extend at office serving your reported residence.
  4. Actually with the time and search's required for air travel these days believe bus might well be convenient for some. Used to travel the Bangkok/Hat Yai route and most trips were not that bad - blocked roads by demonstrators/burning tires on alternate roads being an exception. But that not to minimize your post which provides great information.
  5. Not sure but would use date of last departure from Thailand. If hotel or apartment would just use name. If normal full passport would put "all"
  6. Few even bother in PI as the tourist visa is so easy (leave for a day every 3 years). Suspect most retirement is those that have served in the PI (military/diplomatic) and as such have special reduced requirements.
  7. If you really want it removed and are concerned with scar expect you would want to pay the extra cost of a plastic surgeon. They do cost a lot more however. Most any hospital will have such a surgeon available (although perhaps not always on duty).
  8. Well today when asked to log in I took the Gmail+ option and worked fine - so guess have to use that rather than filling out email/password and then being required to verify email. Strange.
  9. Count the days - I believe may be sent a bit early - seems no downside to trying again being sure less than 2 weeks early.
  10. Mine is listed as email verification on computer - immediately after signing on get request. Have to ask them to send email with 6 digits that then input on page form - once done all well until need to sign in again and repeat. Have been using same email for 9 years with them and they have sent more than 1,200 messages to me.
  11. IP is not listed on any black list in above website but note it appears to be IPv6 so perhaps that an issue? Not a big deal but seems redundant when have just provided name/password.
  12. I just use the computer and have not been able to log on for about a week without going through verification process - log on with name/password and then comes the page to get email or SMS number to verify. PIA and previously never lasted more than a day. Know this is not your issue but seems like log on itself is now an issue no matter what you use.
  13. Would add noise as a major factor in PI - traffic/cocks/dogs/children/venders/whistle blowers/music coming out of every business. This would rule out Duma for me as almost impossible to avoid - in Cebu/Manila/Angeles City you would have condo options to help. And all have better medical facilities. Angeles has advantage of much better quality food (due many foreign run restaurants as well as good market with good access to mountain food growing areas). I did live there 4 years in the 80's and found typhoons were very weak by the time they got there - only the volcano to worry about. Believe it would be my first choice today as easy access to Subic for beach or Manila for medical and on site airport for travel. And much better selection of food. The only obvious negative from my view is the small trikes used there - but taxi is starting to become available.
  14. Would make this a first watch for PI - seems to hit just about everything.
  15. Anyone thinking of moving to PI would do well to view videos by "filipina pea youtube". She goes beyond most videos and keeps it real. As she is in Duma where there is a large expat population (due mostly to lower costs) there will be a lot of content helpful to those thinking of taking that route. Main issue in PI will be accepting limitations - Thais are on time compared to PI. Corruption is routine. Things are often not available. Food is much lower quality (although fast food may often be cheaper and if burger/fries person freshness may not be an issue). Not a move for type A personality but if able to go with the flow there are plus points - English is known by most and signs will often be more readable. People are mostly friendly and easy to get to know. Crime is an issue but most expats are not victims (looks worse than it is with armed guards everywhere). Much more interest in keeping marriage together if that is in the cards. Much easier visa system for long stay. But anyone interested start viewing some of the Youtube channels from there as they can provide a great deal of good information.
  16. As the member name is different than the store name (which has 500 products) and both only member of Shopee for 8 days with 0 sales suspect more than one red flag. As nothing in description providing model or if new and only mention of unit starts with "F..." would be more than a bit concerned.
  17. Actually side by side tests that you can see on Youtube show little or no difference. It is the system much more than the maker. They are great, although I have only used the older original models (thin lever) type as below (and can say for a fact they make good contact and wire does not come out if fully inserted). https://www.lazada.co.th/products/10-40-356810-32a-250v-i958100604-s9772100023.html?&search=pdp_same_topselling
  18. My experience, since change to Wise name, pulling from bank account could be immediate up to $1,500 or so but larger amounts would require a wait. Have not opened (they make because I created a scheduled transfer) a bank account with Wise (which is a normal ACH number you could use to transfer money from your bank). I use it for normal ACH pull by Wise and then use these funds for transfer when I want. Seems to work well. Normal few hours/next day for BBL long term stay but within seconds for others. Total charge seems to be very reasonable.
  19. Now Shopee seems to have removed Ibanking option for payment (although still listed on a how to pay page). As they will not accept CC card (even with Thai address) if issued outside Thailand. Union Pay debit is also not an option. As refuse smart phone/apps that seems to only leave COD or the multi day bank transfer providing receipt proof for stay at home shopping. Lazada has returned as my choice because of this (had used the Bangkok Bank Ibanking option previously and worked well but without that prefer using CC with Lazada even if pay couple percent fee). Had spent more than 380k on Shopee using Ibanking option and although it may be old tech suspect there are many still using. For me a phone with banking information is a receipt for disaster (but that may be due more to old hands/memory than fact).
  20. As said there is no rush out of hospitals here - should not need but if you do there are professional services available at about 1k per day by trained nurse helpers here in Bangkok (training/cost dependent on needs). Should be able to find with google. Also hospitals may have nurse available for extra work as you mentioned.
  21. Seems like they may have gained a lot.
