  1. It seems it may not have been his money from what he posted:
  2. Suspect not that hard and may be able to do at a bank for added security (or not - depending on bank employee). But do believe banks have such as accounts and they would be secure.
  3. Have no knowledge but would look into providing a retirement type trust fund or whatever it may be called to provide a moderate annual income. That way relatives would not see a pot of baht to target and she would have security.
  4. Perhaps because you posted in a Thailand specific forum topic? Should be in home country area of forum if you want to post here I suspect?
  5. You still need traps and they have been available here for at least the last 50 years. For sink drains use bottle trap - for floor drains use bell trap. That is not clean water you are sending out and it will not smell clean if gas allowed to return.
  6. The problem is not helped by fact most such people long ago moved upcountry to be with family as not enough employment in cities during covid and they have not come back. Suspect those that are still here want a sure baht (install new equipment) rather than trouble shoot problems. Keep trying seems to be all we can do.
  7. Any shop selling pumps should be able to supply such a worker. Pump does not have to have been bought from them for such service.
  8. And as has been pointed out sale requires a registered pharmacist on duty - most pharmacies do not have.
  9. No I am not the one who wrote that. But would caution that not all are equal in ability, be they doctors or any other profession.
  10. 3 hours seems to be the norm now - Bangkok said that this week also. Also seems airline sells food on flight (order when booking) but you can't eat it on aircraft. Glad my flying days are over.
  11. Nothing dodgy about it - you get treated by those with training on what your problem is without need to go through another layer to get there. The cost is about the same for basic or specialist visit. As for attached to hospitals they are provided space and in return have access to full facilities without the costs involved with setting up own nursing staff/medical lab and such. A more centralized system that works quite well for most patients. As for GP most specialists will provide that service if asked, and monitor all areas - but for serious treatment they will send you to another specialist if not their field.
  12. How old were they? It is a requirement for minors that both parents sign - but only one has to do in person. The other must sign a consent form from my understanding. As said I have not done this but this seems to confirm my understanding. https://www.mfa.go.th/en/page/frequently-asked-questions-faqs?menu=5e20148fc4281a00c812e8e4
  13. Indeed USA passport only has a page to enter an address if you see fit to do so (and have had 3 types of USA passports).
  14. Way down in "service & promotion" after you expand (on my screen). Thanks.
  15. They are Thai and in Thailand as Thai so need Thai passports to depart.
  16. Will let someone with experience comment but believe both parents must sign passport application so that might be an issue. Not to mention that suspect children are stopped at airport regardless without both parents permission to travel. I assume your children were born here and have not entered Thailand on UK passports so can not exit on them?
  17. This thread is about TM30 notification. Check 3rd post.
  18. As said above this does not appear to have anything to do with Lazada - just a spam message getting card details that happened to arrive after an actual order making you less cautious. There has been a lot of such recently. As for Lazada have my CC on file with them and have never had an issue. As also said most problems come when unknown people take card out of view and copy data - always remove 3 digit code if you use card in such a way (remember/write it down so you have it first). As for portable card readers they are available everywhere in Thailand - all your delivery services use them as well as hospitals/merchants.
  19. No - you also must show a one year statement of the account (obtained from bank for a fee) and a letter of current account balance (obtained from bank for a fee) and copies of the bank passbook.
  20. Really? In my 53 years of using taxi/vans have not had many I would class as even close - much more scared on a couple of airport/Athens runs decades ago. Vans cost money so owner do not want such a driver but admit some drivers are better than others - but for that run should be easy as highway all the way. I would just do a search on net and see what looks good if no first hand recommendations.
  21. They most certainly do provide at CW Immigration and they will want a signed copy of it for any extensions of stay.
  22. That may be - believe last I checked was NT but have seen posts about poor high floor reception for others - but perhaps just location.
  23. Are you on a high floor by chance? Many sellers warn that use above 5th floor may not work well.
  24. The issue may be on what basis that "agency" extended your stay. If on basis of income suspect 800k in bank would work - but if (as believe most agency extensions are) based on a bank account balance suspect you will need to use agency again, and make sure you keep funds in account this year if you want to DIY next year. Your wife makes it more of an issue and suspect depart/visa/return would cost more than using agent again.
  25. Google Maps lists this as airport phone number: 044680086 Edit: guess you tried than number as also listed on Google search - but out of flight travel times it might not be answered?
