  1. It is international in that the funds are paid outside Thailand - but the funds are transferred into local account from a local account. Much like the old shophouse system where local merchant in foreign country accepts money and pays out from his account in Thailand. As original source for funds can be provided by the paying bank in Thailand this is accepted as proof of foreign origin. The FTT on Bangkok Bank accounts is a transfer from WISE Bangkok Bank account - just that Bangkok Bank knows the origin and so indicates (without added paperwork).
  2. Wise uses local transfer but tracking paperwork show it was international - for Bangkok Bank if they use their account at BBL it will be recorded a FTT (foreign transfer) in passbook and on statement - if no such indication such paperwork can be obtained from the Wise account bank to show foreign origin.
  3. There is a chance if an honest mistake - contact seller and explain as first step. I once had wrong size carts sent me and seller was able to confirm a shipping mistake. I have also had one of item arrive COD (paying for two) and second arrived later without charge and before I could question. Believe they may have to charge full order price on COD item even if only partial shipment (or at least when this happened it seemed that way). But do understand they are pushing making video when opening these days.
  4. Agree but if you get a specific model/version number of something at least you can limit the search a bit.
  5. Sorry - still can not use this new forum software edit function without errors - post below.
  6. So you had the same stent and release next day but additional time/care prior to procedure.
  7. Three days later for a stent? Normally it is next day release in my experience. But perhaps this was also an emergency procedure and thus a reason for not having the pre payment? Mine were also done with no prepayment as had 2 hours after stress test indicated serious issues.
  8. Actually that was being done some 20+ years ago when my Thai wife used major government hospital for operation - fee was based on family income. But there is no means requirement under current system - at most a 30 baht fee if using assigned medical facilities.
  9. Don't really believe this is a good example of unjustified dual pricing. Thai have lower price because of a free healthcare system - if treatment not in home area they can obtain service at a nominal price - suspect that the actual cost would likely be much closer to the price charged to foreigners.
  10. Further thinking believe my post in error.
  11. Believe this video hits the nail on the head - Alpha males will not want to live in PI.
  12. Function over form.
  13. Here you go - 5 KG for 179 baht ???? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/bosny-wall-putty-5kg-i2591581860-s9223947713.html?search=1&spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.i40.32a54bd5jBjiQS
  14. Not sure if mentioned but in worse case you can use a little Bosny Wall Putty to shape and sand. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i3626752426-s13603359731.html?urlFlag=true&mp=1
  15. If you use special channels (selected doctor) at a government hospital you may be charged in advance in my experience.
  16. Why? Money is quickly deposited back to my bank account using bank transfer payment. But believe first time it may require paperwork processing - long time ago. But now if they or I cancel they refund within a day or two.
  17. Normally he does not receive treatment as without insurance you are asked to pay in advance for known medical treatment - for emergency treatment without such payment you are billed and expected to pay. That some do a runner is a serious issue for those living here and future travelers with all kinds of fail safe insurance programs being required or mulled over. In short most hospitals will make arrangements for those without current cash but there is indeed a percentage of write off (accounting for higher prices for everyone).
  18. Yes you can deposit freely once in baht but crypto is now illegal.
  19. There is a 1/4 % fee for foreign deposits into a Thai account in range 200-500 baht normally but there is no fee to pay with bank transfers in local area. With Shopee I use Ibanking transfer for payment at no extra cost. For Lazada I use US credit card that has my Thai address and there is a normal fee for use.
  20. Yes reported that about 4 hours ago - seems to change faster than the weather.
  21. Actually believe the UK does provide such but has to be asked for (at least that was the old system from reports). 90 day reports can normally be done online for many people. As you used an agent check where the extension of stay was issued - it may not be from your local office making transfer tricky for the agent. I would seriously consider starting over using a new passport entry without agent if you can qualify for extension, they are not hard to do if you meet the financials. A bit concerned about the second reference to agent having passport - are you talking official UK facility or another JoeBlow? Although it may only be a gray rather than black option highly advise against using someone that can disappear in the dark of night.
  22. As of last night: @ThaiEnquirer Update: The police officer who was sentenced to one year and 15 days in jail by the Criminal Court for killing Mor Kratai with his bike received bail with a surety of 200,000 baht.
  23. It now appears he will not appeal. https://www.facebook.com/536126593072944/posts/5423125291039692/
  24. Released on bail of 50K https://www.facebook.com/536126593072944/posts/5423125291039692/
