We're moving back to the UK later in the year and the Mrs has asked me to find out about possibly shipping her 2 cats back to the UK with us, anyone have any experience or knowledge of this??

We got a Portuguese Schengen a few years ago for Mrs E to go on our sister in laws hen week, at that point she'd already had 2 Schengen visas for Spain and several visas for the UK and it was the hardest one to get, I ended up walking out of The Embassy as the Portuguese chap we were talking to was a complete tosser and seemed to keep changing the goal posts during the conversation, in the end the Mrs went back on her own with more paperwork than we had done for her first UK visa, she got it in the end and had a great hen week but we certainly won't ever be visiting Portugal ever again, just get as much paperwork as you can covering everything!

A friend of mines girlfriend was recently refused a tourist visit visa, upon reading the refusal letter it says my name instead of his as her boyfriend:

'You have stated an intention to travel to the UK in order to stay with your boyfriend, Mr James ......, a British National for a period of 6 months.

I was mentioned in her application as a friend that they would see when they were there, my friend was the sponsor, his name was all over it, bank statements etc everything you need to show yet in the refusal letter they have confused his details with mine, if they managed to get that wrong then what else have they got wrong, assumed, made a decision on etc??

My friends are very upset as you can imagine.

Any case for appeal or something????

When they say earnings in a year for the settlement visa financial requirements do they mean the current financial year i.e April - April or January - December??

Regarding the financial threshold for a settlement visa, if we applied in June can we use wages that were earnt at the start of the year as well as a monthly rental income, so in the 2014/2015 tax year not in the 2015/2016 year??

Went there for a couple of nights a few years ago, some nice sights including loads of monkeys outside our hotel, don't remember fabulous beaches, there was one and it was a dump, remember Buddhas footprint up a hill, he must have been 9 feet tall. You could get a drink in the restaurant.

I listen to the radio on iTunes but lately it seems to jump to the next station on it's own, if I click back onto the original station then it plays again for a few minutes and jumps again, if I leave it on then after a while it will jump to the next one again and so on, the internet is still connected.

I've tried looking on the Apple website but I can never find an answer - it's doing my head in!!!

After 4 years of the same swimming pool guy he's just told me to look in Tesco Lotus for a new basket, so I took the old one and low and behold there is a basket that they sell for 28 baht which is exactly the same, that'll do, oh and then our man quit as he said I moaned at him, fine, Ta ra.

I assume it's because it's a cheap one???? the levels of the pool are good and are consistently so, so......??? I brought the last one from a pool shop up the road from our house for nearly 1000 baht.

I'm after a non plastic basket for the skimmer for our pool, I have brought a few over the years and they seem to rot away, any chance of buying a metal one??

I had some internet yesterday, no Yahoo but had YouTube, Ebay but today nothing at all!!

No internet for the 2nd day in a row, Mrs just been told that there's a problem with cable in the sea, should be back online on Monday????
