Hi, our little fella is 10 months old and has been bitten a few times in his little lifetime and at first the bites seem to go down, we put cream on etc but then when the bite gets to a little red dot size it just doesn't disappear so he now has a few of these on his body, I assume that the poison of the bite just isn't completing leaving the body hence the red mark.
Any advice people - other than don't let him get bitten again - not always possible in this country.
Thanks

We got a Schengen visa for Portugal a few years ago, it was for my wife to go on my sister in laws hen week, we eventually got the visa but we had a hell of a time with The Portuguese Embassy, they were very very stropy, kept changing the goal posts and were unhelpful and basically a pain, we had all the correct paperwork (not the 1st Schengen visa Mrs E has had) and they kept asking for more and more documents, wifey went there twice and on the 3rd occasion I went with her and basically confronted the guy, he was Portuguese and as soon as I was challenging why etc when he had all the required documents he pretty much looked annoyed and walked off, we got the visa and Mrs E had a great time so it was worth it but not with out alot of time and hase, perhaps just a one off case.
Good luck
Jimmy

I've been with this company since last October and this tax year I've earnt more than I need for the requirements, this is of course shown on my payslips, because I work 28 days on/off my monthly pay varies so the lowest in the last 6 months x 12 might not meet the amount but the overall for the year does and then the next month x 12 will be more than enough again!!
I've mailed UKBA so I'll see what they say, I'm sure it's fine.
Thanks

Hi, we'll be applying for a UK settlement visa shortly, my query is regarding pay slips, I read somewhere that they will look at the last 6 months worth and multiply the lowest by 12 to get a figure, will this only happen if your earnings to date don't total the required amount, I have so far earnt more than the figure required (wife and son) by UKBA to meet the financial requirements for this year but my last pay slip was pretty low but on that pay slip tthe total to date for the year is on there - will that be sufficient??
Thanks in advance

On a similar note we have a Ford Fiesta that we brought new last November, I paid a deposit and we currently pay 10,000 baht per month, since last year things have changed and we now plan on moving back to the UK next year, so if we want to sell the car we have to completely pay it off first, I was hoping that the payments could simply be transferred to a new buyer and they continue with the monthlies???
Thanks

Hi, would like to confirm that there's no problem applying for a settlement visa whilst the current Mrs E already has a 5 year visit visa, so both visas would overlap?
Thanks

Hi, we're in the UK and the Mrs is trying to find the English translation of a Thai fish called 'Bar-two' i'm writing that as it sounds, I've tried translate online etc and it's obviously spelt wrong for it to know it, thats how it reads, if anyone can help that would be great.

We just got a 5 year family visit, we had a 2 year vv before and also the 6 monther's, we just submitted the same folder with all the usual gumph, I just added in the letter that it was easier to get a 5 year than a new one each year etc, other than Mrs E failing to opt for the priority service (so we had to wait more than 3 days for the visa to be returned) it was all the same - bloody woman, now in the UK with the new Jnr Ellis and everyone wants us to move back to Mother England - bloody family!!!
All the best.

Thanks for all the replies, we're not going to even try whilst we're in the UK, when we're back next year I'll prepare better.

I have had many sandals repaired over the years and Mrs E uses this guy for all her shoes, he basically has a little stall on Pattaya Klang, head towards the beach from 3rd road on Pattaya Klang and he's on the left hand side, there is a group of motorbike taxi guys there as well, very good and not expensive.

Thanks, we were married in the UK so we have a British marriage certificate but it sounds like it might still be a problem, I think we'll skip it this time and put it down as a lesson learnt.
Thanks for your replies.

Thanks. I have seen you mention before 7by7 that as she's my wife and I'm an EU citizen etc that she doesn't actually need a visa, do you know anyone who HAS travelled in Europe that way??
Thanks

Hi, we're in the UK at the moment until around November, the Mrs is on a visit visa, I thought about traveling to France before we arrived here but as we are with our 7 month old son I didn't think it would be worth it, long story short is now we wouldn't mind going over if we can, so are we able to apply in London for a Schengen visa, I know your supposed to apply in your home country etc but we've changed our mind about going, do they make an exception??
Thanks

I mean at the Country Club end of SSCC where the road bears left around the lake, just under the arch on the left.
-
Just under the arch way at the top of SSCC next to the 7/11 about 100 yards in on the left is a new little bar, they do cracking pizzas on a Friday night only but have Lasagne and Spaghetti through the week, half Swedish/Italian man, nice food nice prices and also cheap price on beer.
is "moving from South Jomtien to far inside Soi Siam Country Club" a good move for a young family?

We live in Soi Siam Country as well, i'm 36, our little fella is 10 months, we've been over here for nearly 5 years now, moving from a very busy condo place in town, best thing we ever did, on a motorbike it only take 5/10 minutes to get back in to town but once you've been over here a while you'll find that you don't really need or even want to head back into town, I did quite a lot recently but I had my brother here so it was tourist time for a while but he's gone and it's back to sitting by the pool, beers and food locally, there are also a few play school/kindergardens around here.
Best of luck.
