I am also planning to do some visa exempt flights to get free 30 days stamps after I will burn the 2 border run by land. What's the cheapest flights around Asian countries? I've checked online, flights to Vietnam (Hanoi) and to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) seem to be cheaper than other Asian countries and the flights are direct. I might even stay there for some weeks and then fly back to Thailand

Yes I will apply for a METV when I will go back to my country. I have already the financial requirements to apply for it. METV is the best choice to stay in Thailand up to 9 months without stress

Let's say you got the first 30 days stamps doing a border run and you got the second and last stamp in November or December, could you get 2 more stamps starting from January of the new year? for example you get the first 30 days stamp in September plus extension at local immigration, then you get the second stamp in November plus an extension at local immigration. In this case would it be possible to get two more free 30 days stamps in the new year 2025? Just curious as I know that is only possible to get 2 30 days exempt by land within one year but when the new year arrives you could repeat the process again? I could also fly to get unlimited 30 days stamps but it's a bit stressful and a waste of money for flights ticket all the time. I have also heard that many people are being rejected at some airports in Thailand because of too many free stamps on the passport

to me thai womens are all the same, it doesn't matter if they work in a bar or they are normal women, they are all teached to take the big fish. My suggestion is to come here and enjoy your life alone, just hangout, have a girlfriend but do not marry, it will cost you money for sure. I have learned lots of things here to not fall into these traps. They don't care that you feel alone believe me. I prefer to stay alone really, i am happy with myself and i only spend my own money for myself. I know many foreigners even got kids with thai womens, that is more money to lose. Lucky me i didn't make kids, i was not so silly

I suggest you not to marry a thai women and not to buy a house in thailand as you can't be the owner and you might only lose your money for her and her family, you must put the house on thai people name. I think it is much better to just pay a rent here. I was married to a thai before but thanks god i am happily divorced now and i spend my money only for myself here. But of course it's up to you. You can also stay here with a tourist single visa or multiple entry tourist visa(much better) Can also extend it for just 1900thb. I will never marry again, that's for sure

I had read that requirement a while ago but it seems that an outbound flight is no longer required. I will apply for a METV when i will go back to UK, it looks much easier than before, good to know

That's what would be perfect, do one border run first, then apply for a tourist visa(vientiane) and at the end do the second and final border run. After leave thailand for some months and come back again maybe with a METV, even better than a SETV

I mean, what if the embassy might reject his tourist visa application while he has already used the 2 visa exempt via land per year? I don't think it would be so difficult to book an online appointment some weeks in advance

I would not burn all 2 border run in one year, i mean i would do one border run first and then go to the thai embassy in laos vientiane to obtain another tourist visa, very easy to apply for a tourist visa over there, seems they do not boring with extensive history of stay. I go to Nong khai with bus and come back by land

I always use men officer at the airport, never had a problem, officer man always polite with me. Also the last time I come back to Thailand. I always avoid thai women officer, i don't really like the way they treat foreigners, they looks like a bit racist and always moody

My friend knows he can go to immigration to extend 30 days more but he will also do 2 border run and in case his tourist visa application could be rejected by the thai embassy in vientiane he will just come back to thailand by land and get the second and final 30 days for free that he can extend at immigration again

Sorry, there is something I didn't understand... Are you telling me that you can't do 2 border run if you come to Thailand with 60 days tourist visa?

So i'll tell my friend to only use the first border run to get 30 free days and then use a second and final border run to apply for a tourist visa at the thai embassy in vientiane. He has less than 20k thb on his thai bank account because he only comes as a tourist and he prefers to keep all his money into his wise account, he just transfers some money into his thai bank account when he needs but he still has enough time to put some more money inside the thai bank account as proof of 3 months bank statement

Just one more question: can my friend show his 3 months bank statement on his wise account or it must be from a Thai bank account? And it's possible to apply for tourist visa at the Thai embassy in Vientiane on the second and final border run?

So can he just show his 3 months bank statement but from his wise account and not Thai bank account? Because he has all money to his wise account, he just transfer some money to his Thai bank account when he needs. - there is no need to show an onward flight as proof of exit Thailand within 60 days? -can he just book an hotel on Agoda or booking for a few days as proof of address?
