    There is something weird about this DTV visa, I mean, immigration like to make money but they let people do a border bounce for free? And the cost of this visa is just 10k for 5 years, i could apply already as i already have more than 500k on my bank account but maybe most of digital nomads do not have this financial requirements? Just wonder

    Just wonder if it would be possible to use wise for the 500k money requirements. And if it would be enough to just upload an employment contract without an employment certificate from the company

    What's the point of paying for another 10k extension when you can do a border run and come back with a free stamp for another 6 months? If am not mistaken haha

    I don't know but there is something that doesn't fully convince me about this type of visa and we know that in Thailand there is always a surprise around the corner

    The only thing is that it is only valid for 5 years and after can't re-apply anymore

    So if for example I do a border bounce every 6 months should I get 6 more months extension stamp for free?

    I thought it was 10k for 6 months and another 10k for the extension

    hmmm so, does it worth to spend 100k for just 5 years? I think the best way for me is to just come to thailand with SETV-METV visas and when i will reach 50+ age i could apply for retirement visa for just 1900 thb a year

    but what after 5 years? Will be possible to re-apply again? maybe easier than marry vsa but it should be 20k for one year which is 100k for 5 years if i don't guess wrong

    It's just an extension, very easy, just fill the form, passport copy, visa stamp and 1900thb. No issues to go on 8th or 9th August

    Ok I know it's still early but I M asking for a friend of mine! Will immigration be closed on Monday 12th August? He needs to extend his tourist visa, can he just go on Thursday 8th or Friday 9th August for the 30 days extension?

    Not every airport is the same. There are some airports in Thailand where immigration never make problems about giving free stamps. I wouldn't worry about this at all

    Yeah i hear that but i really hope is official this time haha. That's great news! I can obtain 60 days now plus extension at immigration. Even when i will fly out and come back i will get 60 days!

    And hopefully thailand will stamp 60 days visa exemption soon, so i could stay longer here

    I know but i don't want to spend too much money for one year ED visa or an elite visa. I can wait to be 50 years old and i will apply for a retirement visa, just pay 1900thb every year

    I can't apply for a retirement visa yet as I am still far away to 50 years old and i am not into marriage anymore. I prefer to stay in Thailand with single tourist/METV visas or visa exemption. I will apply for retirement visa when I will be 50+ if I will be still alive lol

    I am planning to go to Vietnam (Hanoi or Saigon) in the next months for one or two weeks, can i enter without apply for a visa and just get 30 free days stamp on my passport? Later I will come back to Thailand

    I am talking about unlimited visa exempt flights this time, not about border run and 60 days tourist visa
