  1. Ok thanks for making it more clear! My friend knows he can go to immigration to extend 30 days more but he will also do 2 border run and in case his tourist visa application could be rejected by the thai embassy in vientiane he will just come back to thailand by land and get the second and final 30 days for free that he can extend at immigration again
  2. Sorry, there is something I didn't understand... Are you telling me that you can't do 2 border run if you come to Thailand with 60 days tourist visa?
  3. Ok great! Thanks for the suggestions! So i'll tell my friend to only use the first border run to get 30 free days and then use a second and final border run to apply for a tourist visa at the thai embassy in vientiane. He has less than 20k thb on his thai bank account because he only comes as a tourist and he prefers to keep all his money into his wise account, he just transfers some money into his thai bank account when he needs but he still has enough time to put some more money inside the thai bank account as proof of 3 months bank statement
  4. Just one more question: can my friend show his 3 months bank statement on his wise account or it must be from a Thai bank account? And it's possible to apply for tourist visa at the Thai embassy in Vientiane on the second and final border run?
  5. So can he just show his 3 months bank statement but from his wise account and not Thai bank account? Because he has all money to his wise account, he just transfer some money to his Thai bank account when he needs. - there is no need to show an onward flight as proof of exit Thailand within 60 days? -can he just book an hotel on Agoda or booking for a few days as proof of address?
  6. My friends wants to do this procedure: extend his tourist visa 30 days more at immigration, then do a border run get 30 days and extend it at immigration. Then repeat one more border run but this time he wants to go to a Thai embassy in Laos Vientiane to get another tourist visa 60 days and extend it at immigration 30 days more. Could he also do like that? He didn't understand what this requirement means, on the thai embassy Vientiane website: Travel itinerary to and from Thailand. Could you please explain better?
  7. I am asking for a friend of mine that is coming to Thailand with a 60 days tourist e-visa. He is thinking to do a few border run later. It's possible to do the first border run going with a bus and get 30 days? After that he wants to do a second border run(always going with a bus)but this time he wants to go to a Thai embassy in Laos Vientiane to apply for another tourist visa. It's possible to do this procedure? Let me know, thanks The last time he did a few border run was on 2019
  8. To me it doesn't make much sense to stay in thailand less than 6 months with a retirement extension. Too many papers for immigration, 800k to keep in the bank ecc. Much easier to just come with a tourist visa
  9. Let me understand, so if you are 50+ you are forced to apply for a retirement visa/extension? It sounds crazy, why can't he just apply for a multiple tourist visa? He is not obliged to do a retirement visa. This country is being too stressful really, because of money system. Before covid, now tax, and then what else?
  10. run farangs, run! Jokes aside, the smartest thing to do is to spend less than 180 days in thailand and end of the story, very easy, don't think too much! Like me for example, came with a 60 days tourist visa, extend it 30 days and then do a border run 30 days plus 30 days extension, another border run is optional if i want, so i would stay here less than 180 days, maybe 170 days haha, more than enough for me to live here. And repeat the process next time when i want to return to the country
  11. 500k aren't a lot of money. Can have it easy if you don't use to spend too much or have a thai wife that always ask you money for her or for all his family
  12. So it's only 10k fee for 5 years or you have to pay every year ? Plus the extension at immigration if you want
  13. How could someone know they would made this new visa announcement? Very funny. Looks like they like that someone wasted his money
  14. What happens for those who have already obtained an approved tourist e-visa in their country at the embassy and will go to Thailand after the new visas announcement?
  15. He told me after 16 days
  16. my friend has already obtained 60 days tourist evisa from his country. He didn't have a re-entry permit last time, he just left
  17. Thanks for the answers. He is 42 years old
  18. yeah... but was the marriage extension automatically cancelled the day he left the country?
  19. true words, i agree!
  20. great! Thanks for the answer
  21. I am asking for a friend of mine, Switzerland passport. He is going to come back to thailand with a tourist visa but last time he forgot to go to the immigration office to cancel his marriage extension the day of divorce( he already exit the country some months ago by the way with no issues). Can he come back with no issues? And he won't have any problem to extend these 60 days tourist visa for another 30 days?
  22. My friend didn't have any issues when he applied for a tourist e/visa. The embassy approved it within 7 days. Maybe the op made some mistakes with the online application
  23. he can call the embassy and they should answer him
