  1. I am amazed at the rubbish this smug orange creature spouts daily. Every day a different lie or ridiculous exaggeration. I don't understand why he is not quizzed by the main stream media more - is everyone in his pocket? I do not think he actually has a coherent 'plan'.
  2. OMG. Reading this sermon Once is enough....
  3. Lactose intolerance is not common in cats. Those that are, will have diarrhoea after drinking it. (not immediately lol) If he wants it, and it helps create the bond - let him have it. He does not 'need' to drink milk. Humans are the only placental animal that continue to drink milk after weaning! I do not 'need' to drink beer , but I like it...
  4. no , not a threat. but i am allowed to dream... sorry. we are getting off topic here
  5. I don't believe anything or anyone any more.
  6. You mean 'Lawbreaking' is an occupation reserved for Thai citizens only...
  7. All of this speculation about " how could they afford to buy this large property" is off topic bs! I live near Kanchanaburi and 4 years ago bought 50 Rai (correction, my Wife bought , lol) of land on a sealed road , with water and electricity connected for about 2 million baht. His land, on the newscast, looks unimproved - so I doubt whether it would have been a huge expense more than 10 years ago. 'Most of the listed species in the original article - even the exotics - do not require a permit to own. It is only the civet and reticulated python, Thai species, that require a permit. The Sulcata Tortoise, though on the CITES list, is readily available in Thailand, and permits are easily obtained. While in the area, these officials should visit the Surasi Camp Zoo in the Kanchanaburi district. This zoo has many local species, such as Civets, Binturongs, Bears, and many monkeys - being kept in deplorable conditions.
  8. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 108 seconds
  9. okay Doctor. I stand corrected. please accept my most humble apologies by the way Doctor. 🧑‍⚕️. What is a ‘diesase’?
  10. My thoughts exactly!! The article lost me after referring to the victims 'enigmatic disease'. No (normal) human has ever referred to an affliction as 'enigmatic'!
  11. Volvo offer some interesting models here in Thailand - but they are expensive - and Volvos resale values are abysmal! Despite being seen on a lot of the Thai Soap-operas , (obviously as sponsors), they are not regarded as a prestige car in LOS. That mantle is still held by Mercedes and (the ugly as sin) BMWs.
  12. I wonder why they particularly dislike forefingers? Personally - I cannot stand people who are digitist.
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 42 seconds
  14. I just completed this quiz. My Score 85/100 My Time 33 seconds
  15. Blah blah blah! this will no doubt counteract all of the crop burning.. Hurrah!
  16. or maybe a dragon? breathing fire and all that SpiderMike aka St George
  17. maybe one of his parents are Thai nationals. ie. born in India , to one or two Thai parents
  18. The problem will resolve itself. Malnutrition leading to immuno-compromise, then a wave or two of Parvovirus or Leptospirosis. Rabies would have the added benefit of getting rid of a few of the kind hearted do-gooders. Win Win I am a dog owner , I love my dogs , and believe that pet ownership is a wonderful thing. However the response in this country to stray and dangerous dogs is irresponsible, ridiculous, and dangerous.
  19. Wife & I went to DaNang last month. I echo Britmans' comments - not much to do there - seafood is great , most tourists do the Hoi An , and Ba Na Hills tours... The weather was awful while we were there, so that didn't help - but Vietnam did not do it for me, It has a different vibe from Thailand. I got my visa online before arrival - US$25 - fairly simple procedure - takes a few days for approval. Then just print it out and present it to the officious immigration officer. 555
  20. I would not buy a new car without driving one first. You should not just accept the blurb from motoring journalists - they are not averse to embellishing the product after enjoying a slush-fund weekend away being financed by the manufacturer. I have ordered and paid deposits on vehicles - and then found after driving them, that the experience was underwhelming at best. I have then cancelled my order - without any problem. I have bought 8 new vehicles in Thailand, and test drive them all before purchase. I have not had an experience like the OP has had - but maybe that is because I have never considered buying a Toyota!
  21. my first car was a Fiat 850 Sport Coupe. It fit my lean 6'4'' frame like a glove! The 903cc engine was good for 100mph on a downhill run - but being a rear engine car, the steering would get a bit vague at speed - as the front end started to lift... In the following 45 years, I have owned at least 60 other cars...
