  1. Show us where. Some pundits have declared it “weak” while others say it is well and elegantly crafted. BTW, the indictment came from the Grand Jury, not Mr. Bragg. He is prosecuting according to the jury’s decision.
  2. Things seem not to go well for attorneys who represent TFG.
  3. Sadly it does happen. A young man in memory died on the field during a high school American football game. The younger sister of a friend died of previously unknown cardiac condition while walking down the street. Meanwhile an old blister like me has been life-starred three times for heart trouble. TANJ.
  4. Punitive damages after the 1.6 Billion have no cap in the venue.
  5. “… please site (sic) the racial demographic…” Racist much? “Now they’re pushing for…” is equally untrue. And FYI I registered Republican in 1972. And 18% of Republicans who voted independent in 2016 voted for Biden in 2020. And college graduates of almost every demographic voted heavily for Biden, regardless of party affiliation. Those are who put Biden in the White House. Get your facts straight, “ conservative”.
  6. Calling BS. I don’t watch American TV at all, though you appear to be firmly attached to the so called “conservative” media, most of which is an ignorant crock full. Point the first, no, illegal aliens have not been granted the right to vote in Federal elections. Pure lying BS. It’s also untrue that Democratic cities have higher crime rates. The larger cities do tend to be Democratically run and have a higher raw crime profile simply because they have more people. The crime RATE shows an entirely different story over twenty years to those with sufficient intellect to comprehend the difference. Look at number of crimes per 100,000 residents and it does not show a huge Democratic lead. ”from BBC”: View original tweet on Twitter "Murder is up about 25% nationally including nearly identical change in Democratic and Republican-run cities," says US crime analyst Jeff Asher. "I think the more salient point is that cities across the country, regardless of the mayor's party, are seeing an alarming increase in murder nationally this year," he adds. Individual years can fluctuate but violent crime across the US has been on a downward trend since the 1990s. Here is the YTD % change in murder for cities with a Republican mayor (and available data). Murder is up 26% in these cities YTD which is identical to the change in all big cities. Changes in murder trends don't care about the city executive's party affiliation.
  7. As an adult in US Army boot camp nobody ever thought of demanding 500 sit-ups. This dorm manager, or whatever they call it, should be given the option of doing 500 sit-ups in front of the students or pack and go, maybe to jail for engaging in child abuse. But… TIT.
  8. Seems odd to me, having had three MIs, but it sure seems to happen a lot. I could be next, I guess, with my history. Chances are he was ignoring that “heartburn”, especially if he’d been drinking. If your body is telling you something, listen to it.
  9. It happens to be true. Doesn’t matter that work permits might not be given, they haven’t got them. It is a quick and easy deportation reason.
  10. Ditto. From what I’ve been reading I don’t want to take my Asian wife somewhere that a complete stranger might walk up and punch her. I also don’t especially want to be under the possible influence of some of the current crop of MAGGATs.
  11. She did. Off duty policing in no way brings about what you suggest. The role of an off duty cop providing extra curricular security is still to uphold the laws, preventing robbery, kidnapping, etc. A couple of relatives who were peace officers in the US used to do off hours security for hire. That society has yet to undergo…complete… collapse.
  12. What I was going to remark. Actually my dad used to do events in uniform, as that gave a visual of security. I don’t recall if my BIL did his gigs in uniform, but he did lots of extra duty. They were both small town police; pop was technically a constable who may have had different rules.
  13. Don’t know about gnarly. I had the series after a stray cat bite. It was a pita to comply with the schedule, I think I recall five shots, but it was nothing like the reports of the older vaccine, administered some horrendous number of times in your belly.
  14. That had been my supposition. He was a witness of sorts and his employment status doesn’t add much to the story, unless it is meant to imply that a security guard is a reliable source.
  15. Not an uncommon occurrence with big trucks. Why they often have “runaway truck” ramps on long steep slopes in the US. Preventative maintenance is probably a big factor here. An acquaintance in the US got his one million mile accident free logged miles award. Wonder if anyone in Thailand ever did that..
  16. Seems odd that a navy chief engineer would “ have business” that precluded him sailing with his ship. The chief was always on the one ship I sailed aboard.
  17. Just my opinion, of course, but it seems to me, who is unable to smoke anything, that the “reefer madness” gang is behind the anti pitch, with support from the big booze monopolists. The Netherlands is a perfect example of how it works, and many US states seem to manage OK despite a lack of federal decriminalization. One of my favorite examples is my old high school chemistry class lab partner. The guy went on to become a PHD in analytical chemistry, one of the most rigorous branches of academia, puffing his way through all the class work, and has managed to get some patents on processes. Trust me, the guy is very bright but not really a genius. I also have relatives that have organized and operated businesses with amazing success from within an MJ cloud. IMO the ganja nay sayers are full of it. Personally would like to try some CBD products, as a superannuated crotchety old thing.
  18. It’s the amperage that’s the real killer. I’ve seen a shipboard electrician (ex navy) lick his fingers and touch some wires and exclaim “Yow. Yep, 440”. I think his boots were probably well insulated. I.know mine were after leaning my butt against a bulkhead while welding.
  19. Interesting. Is the number of employees required different for marrieds? Must they be full time, or are some part time ok? I could see having my wife on the books for minimum. (She gets much more in the usual course of events ????) Our daughter has a burgeoning mail order business for which my wife normally handles the shipping. Maybe easier to just get her under daughter's "umbrella"?
  20. My land lady's daughter used to do mine for cheap. Pick up and delivery at my door. Ask around, if you can.
  21. It irritates me that there is no provision to fill out a few items, but I just fill in what I can and after a few days get an online approval. Done it several times now.
  22. I think it is aberrant behavior on the part of this one individual. My one ambulance ride with siren and lights was unhindered by similar A holes. I have observed other instances of people moving aside in like cases. Bad behavior on the part of one obviously unfit for his job,
  23. Relative to other currency. Maybe Q; "where goes one we go all."
  24. The byzantine aspects of Thai written language relate directly to those problems. With several existing systems to choose from Ramkhamhaeng elected to create an entirely new, and therefore uniquely Thai, alphabet. Thainess does not guarantee ease of assimilation for sure, though I admit I also failed with Russian and Japanese.
