  1. He is great, isn't he? All we have to do is keep send our hard earned money to him. How easy is that? In all seriousness, I feel sorry for people who fall victims to that kind of scams. We live in a world where education and information should prevent us from making that kind of mistakes. But the truth is, most people nowadays will be willing to take shortcuts to become rich even though that means believing in fairytales.
  2. Well, you have to come in recommended. He still says to this day that I am "special" ????
  3. Wait a minute... I'm starting to believe that I'm not really speaking to the prince of Nigeria. Or am I? He came to me 10 years ago as I came highly recommended ???? We made a deal that I'll help him recover his frozen assets and we'll split the $20 million 50/50 once it's in my account. Of course, I won't cheat him. Really a lovely man, but has had terrible luck over the past 10 years and things have been postponed countless times. At least, it only costs me 300 $ a month to help him get it done. Well, I'm off to the bank fellas, it's that time of the month ???? PS: he also opened an account for me to buy Bitcoins and is now my financial advisor. I just had to send my money to him and as off today he said I have made 67,000% profit. I think I'll send more soon (he strongly advised it). He said I'll be retired next year! I'm just blessed guys.
  4. How would it work while using a website like Agoda or Booking.com. Let's say you are just looking on the Internet. There is no way for the website at first to know if you are Thai or not. They'll write 2 prices down? 1 for Thais and 1 for foreigners? Because if they can't hide it, I can't see how foreigners wouldn't be offended. That would lead to many choosing another destination instead. Anyway, as said by all of you, this is the stupidest idea they have had yet. And that says a lot...
  5. That's what I thought too. Thank you
  6. Thanks for that, I will try to reach them.
  7. Hi all, So my gf's daughter asked me if her coins are valuable. They are mostly the 1996 (2539) edition which has a different design from standard coins. She has many 10B, 5B, 1B and satangs from this year. I honestly don't know if they are worth more than their actual price.. From what I have seen online, price varies a lot from Lazada to Ebay. So, do you gents know of any place(s) in Bangkok that trade in these kind of coins? I could try to call them and see if they would buy them and if the price is actually worth the trip. Thanks in advance! Edit: I have to add that all the coins are used. None of them are in pristine conditions. Which won't help I guess.
  8. I would honestly love to know more about your journey here in Thailand. It seems that you have been through a lot of the country's new trends/phases.
  9. Anutin said the situation is under control! I only base my assumptions on that... The man is a living legend! He is a docto... wait... he has experience in... Oh well. He is a great guy! 2k Covid cases in Thailand per day.. My A$$
  10. Thai officials only seem to get Covid when they return from a 1 day trip abroad...
  11. Well, they did say that no. 1 lost $3.7 billion from last year and no. 3 lost $1.5 billion. I still won't feel bad for them though... Neither will you I guess.
  12. To be fair, and I'm not bragging, but I'm only 2.7 billion $ short from entering the list ????
  13. That's great that you managed to save as much as possible early on. I did also when I was 20 for years and my friends had the time of their life. However, we can't really blame people for wanting to have holidays and hobbies. Right now, with 15k Baht a month, it must be hard to do so anyway. Imagine if they keep on increasing prices nationwide and leave them with 15k, they won't even be able to survive anymore.
  14. You go do what they do for that amount... Risking your life due to very poor safety protocols. Exhausting tasks outdoor with many workers working late nights and weekends when projects are delayed (very often). Not really enticing for most people.
  15. That's why so many people need to have undeclared side businesses, sell desserts/food or other products online, or in some cases sell themselves... Many young graduates also hope to make a career of their own trying to use social media to sell whatever. Less and less of them want to work in an office, having long hours and expensive commute for a low salary. Drivers for Grab, FP and others start to decline. Migrant workers are scarce and Thais don't want to work in construction and similar jobs (I understand why). But now it is the upper echelon graduating from university that refuse to work for companies. I wouldn't be surprised if Thailand had a shortage of office workers in the next few years. And if they want for Thailand not to be "cheap" anymore, a serious change in local salaries is needed as well. You can't just charge more for everything and expect the local population to live with their current salaries. They want to go on holidays too and have hobbies/activities. I have been concerned by the country's situation for many years and my concerns only grow. I hope I'm wrong.
  16. Oh yeah, I agree with you. It is really unhealthy food overall ???? That's why it remains a guilty pleasure I do once every few months when we visit Pattaya. I still enjoy it though.
  17. Not really relevant, but on my visits to Pattaya I enjoyed going to the Beefeater weekend brunch. Found it very reasonably priced and enjoyed the food. Do you know of other places with similar concepts with good price and food (not in hotels preferably)? Thanks.
  18. The easier, the lazier. Never fails. I remember during my university days, students who lived 1 hour away always arrived in advance. Others who lived across the street were usually late.
  19. Lovely... That woman smashing his head on the floor is a real class act... I know the whole world has been on edge for the last few years but surely there must be limit somewhere to how much hate people have within themselves.
  20. If that happened to me and that was their response, I'd take as many photos/videos of the incident as possible. Then I'd ask my gf to make a formal complaint to whichever relevant food hygiene authorities. That happened in a mall, not on the street and that kind of low hygiene practices can kill someone eventually.
  21. Ok, not here to argue with you here. I understand the financial agenda obviously.
