my friend just picked up his new us passport last week, took 31 days they cancelled it when he went in for new one He travelled twice out of Thailand on the old one, so if he had mailed it in , he would not have been able to leave the country Like i said , mail in works for 99% not 100%

thats fine if ur tourist or retired here and can plan some people live here AND still work outside the country hence 3-6 weeks with out the PP is a hardship OK?

thats fine for 99% , BUT for some, they need to travel out of Thailand and if ur passport is not in ur possession for 3-6 weeks ur screwed> ( mine took 41 days)

700, well worth it not having to wait the next day in line for the re entry! 🙂 fyi; Phuket has a drive thru window for 90 day report !

Does ANYONE know a local with a pick up truck and helpers that could come to loch palm and pick up a bunch of stuff, ( old things, old bicycles, misc stuff) some stuff could be sold, some just junk and could take the stuff to a dump names/telephone #'s ALso Where is the Dump?? my agent i use in Phuket ( extension NOT issued in Phuket) business as usual, checked this morning

u can get multiple at airport as well IN Phuket, u pick up passport with new extension and than apply for re entry, takes anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour( depends on number of people there)

its not just the tourist numbers ( those dam african french are out in mass now) and agree the quality of years passed is way down BUT the uncontrolled building going on < dust in the air, trucks on the road, the noise!!!

YES: Its the US Embassy But renewing ur passport is not an option to get an appt> freind of mine did it 2 months ago, he just walked in... no appt, gave another reason ( he said to do a report of birth abroad) and he was allowed in the lady than still processed him although he had to fill out another form took 31 days from that day till thye called him and told him new one was ready By renewing in person, you keep ur current passport if u mail it in, u need mail ur current one, so ur without a passport till ur new one arrives

fyi: IF do ur US passport renewal in person in Bangkok, they allow you to keep ur current one and can than travel outside the country, it will be cancelled when u pick up ur new one YES< u can do renewals in person, freind of mine did it 2 months ago, new one arrived 31 days later

I wonder about this The transport office in phuket is 2-3 months+ backed up for renewals BUT many are now getting their COR in Phuket ( that's their residence) and travelling to get their dl renewal in Phang Nga with no problem

Best 1,000 baht i ever spent was having a agent do the transfers from old passport to new passport, even thou the Old passports 1 year extension, was in a different province than my New 1 year extension where the transfer was made 🙂

HOW would she have her photo taken without her going to the transport office to have it taken?

If i am able to file the TM 30 online , export and make a paper copy, is it as acceptable as going in and filing it in person ?

whose photo is on the license??
