re entry permit is valid in new passport till it expires when accompanied with old passport showing the r entry permit and visa/extension. Personal experience not he said, she said also any other visa (s) you hold in old passport ( like a 10 year Indian visa) are still valid as well FYI: IF and only if u want be 1,000% right on, go to the motor vehicle dept (as well as your bank) and get new license as well as ur passport # is on the license 🙂 I have never bothered till i do new licenses> Inform Big C too, villa, tops>>>>>>if u have member card

extension's are for 1 year if ur passport ONLY has 6 months than thats all ur extension will be for , for the same price so...... i am NOT referring ,nor interested in a 1 month extension for a visa exempt or tourist visa 🙂 OK?

Did mine 15 months before it was due to expire, as u need at least 13 months valid date for ur new 1 year extension.
