  1. Perhaps there is a case for arguing that this is discrimination against Scots?
  2. For crying out loud, banning advertising for Porridge! What an entirely joyless, utterly controlling bunch of bossy boots!
  3. Little point bothering with such a cornucopia of comprehensive and fantastic conspiracy theories! The next full moon here is in the evening of the 15th of December. I take it you will be outside howling at it?
  4. Yes there is - not all that many people voted for his candidates, or for him for that matter!
  5. To post that there is a "flipside" to the rape and slaughter of 1700 men, women, children and infants reduces you to an absolute <deleted>.
  6. "The massed ranks of the "Walmart Gun Counter Fusiliers", led by General Walter Mitty and his hand picked staff of Walts!
  7. If he scrapes the bottom of the barrel much more he will break through into the dirt it is sitting on!
  8. That is not really sarcasm, it is just a banal, stupid thing to say. Sarcasm entails wit, perhaps dark humour, and relevance.
  9. Just perhaps getting a little bit ahead of things?
  10. I suspect that you will hear even less over the next few years. Private citizen Trump was convicted and also fined a lot of money, he has so far managed to dodge sentencing for those convictions ( well after all there were only 34 of them!) which were the verdict of a jury in an open court, he has also managed to avoid paying any money. Now that he is President Elect, and soon to be President, then those convictions and fines will simply be ignored. Rule of Law anyone?
  11. Even funnier when they clutch their pearls and swoon over the amount of money their sabotage activities wasted! Incidentally, shouldn't the amount quoted also include the cost of the lawyers scurrying around persuading anonymous foreign judges to issue last minute orders - that sort of legal activity doesn't come cheap, lawyers don't work for nothing, and the money was almost certainly stumped up by the taxpayers!
  12. I think he means a bus operated by the state owned transportation company; you know, the ones with the silver and purple livery. Using the term does rather help establish his credentials as an "old Pattaya hand", and therefore entitled to whinge. I am surprised that word was not put out on the taxi communication network " All stations, there is a Farang whining down at the bus station..."
  13. Yes. They failed to get her released. They did stop funding UNWRA, a "UN Humanitarian Agency" which was heavily involved and implicated in holding the hostages. Now we have a Labour Government, who have restored funding to UNWRA, whose Foreign Secretary issues statements supporting UNWRA, and yet nothing is said about the hostage(s). ÚNWRA is effectively part of HAMAS, we are funding them, and the buffoon Lammy is issuing statements supporting them.
  14. The problem may well be that his handlers are a bit slow ( possibly due to embarrassment at the fix they/Lammy have found themselves in) in issuing the "party line". So in what airmen may call a "holding pattern"!
  15. He probably will, start as he means to go on and all that...
  16. You deserve it, frankly, Chomper. It has been demonstrated unequivocally over the last 14 months that UNWRA is virtually "totally owned" by HAMAS. They were involved in October 7th, their staff were amongst the HAMA killers who rampaged through Southern Israel, raping and slaughtering. Their staff have subsequently been found to be holding hostages. Their infrastructure is openly used to hide and store weapons, and launch rockets. The schools and hospitals they fund are used extensively as bases for HAMAS. Your political enthusiasms have led you to excuse, deny and defend their actions. You most certainly, actively support UNWRA, which is, as I have said, an active participant in terror. It is very much to the United Kingdom, the Labour Party and it's government shame that it has resumed funding UNWRA, and you should be ashamed to acclaim it. It is most certainly is not a baseless accusation; don't hide behind (the inevitable) self righteous bluster, come out and admit it, you support a (the) prime enabler of anti Israel and anti semitic terrorism.
  17. As I observed elsewhere, Reform UK/Farage would be very foolish to allow Musk and Trump to get involved. It would kill the movement, which arguably British politics needs desperately, stone dead. Mr Musk seems to think he can buy his way into politics. That may work with Trump, to whom money is central. It would not be well received in the UK, and as @Will B Goodpoints out, would be illegal. That said, the illegality is unlike to concern Musk, he believes that money trumps (see what I have done there - good isn't it?) the laws when it comes to politics!
  18. UK funding was cut off in the face of overwhelming evidence of UNWRA,s close connection with HAMAS and involvement with the 7 October savagery. Lammy reinstated it. That alone rather supports @Eloquent pilgrim's point! It is very clear where his sympathies lie.
  19. He is saying that - the American judicial system is entirely corrupted by political pressures.
  20. When was the white house attacked You know full well what he meant.
  21. But, but, but, Hunter Biden had a laptop!
  22. Starmer won't give a "tuppeny toss"!
  23. I have little time for Biden, but in saying this he is absolutely correct.
