Thailand Faces Population Crisis: Minister Calls for Action
herfiehandbag replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The doctor wanted me to do one of those. He gave me a jar. I tried everything,, one handed, both hands, between my legs, soaking it in warm water, I even asked the lady next door, she put it between her thighs, between her breasts. I went downtown to a couple of bars, asked for help. They tried everything they could (oh boy, are some of those girls inventive!) nothing worked. Simply couldn't get the lid off the jar! -
Yingluck Shinawatra Hints at Return Amid Legal Victories
herfiehandbag replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Just as well, her home and it's contents, a dozen or so apartments, land and bank accounts were seized. The trail as to quite what happened to all those assets went very cold very quickly, ( there was one photo published, as I recall, which showed the interior of her house trashed after what must have been a spectacularly energetic rummage search) but we can no doubt rest assured that some very deserving people benefitted! -
Yingluck Shinawatra Hints at Return Amid Legal Victories
herfiehandbag replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That wasn't quite what happened though was It? She was detained by the Junta, whereabouts unknown, for quite some time, and when people started asking questions about that she was driven to the Cambodian border and sent into exile. Hey presto, a few days later, verdicts were announced by the Junta courts. -
If the West supporting Ukraine's freedom and right to exist as an independent country are delusional fantasies, what then are Russia's claims that the territories they have annexed through force of arms are evermore Russian? Let us not even move onto claims over the Baltic States and parts of Finland... The reality is that Russia under Putin has embarked upon fulfilling it's long announced intention to "reclaim" countries which it once, as part of the Russian Empire or later the Soviet Union, subjugated and ruled.

Trump's Vision for 2025: A Sweeping Crackdown on Immigration

Of course that is how they will be picked out! Silly, silly me for assuming, even for a minute, that the colour of their skins would have anything to do with it! -

Well, I suppose designing a plan to conduct sweeps, round up, detain without charge and without appeal or review in camps built and manned by the military, a segment of the population who are almost all coloured, defined by and made suspects because of their colour, is a fairly good starting point! -

Well obviously not people from Norway and Sweden; after all, they are white! -

Astonishing, deeply disturbing, but somehow not really surprising! -
Born in England. Admittedly he is brown, is that your problem?

He (Native Bob) is a nasty little racist, breathing through his mouth.

Geography. NZ is made up of Islands, rather a long way from anywhere else. -
Trump's Vision for 2025: A Sweeping Crackdown on Immigration

Bypassing Congress, repurposing laws front 225 years ago (intended to deal with totally different scenarios), using the military, expediting deportations denying appeals and review, employing the "vast Federal powers to blitz opponents so these "activists" don't know what has hit them", sweeping raids to pick up huge numbers of people; what is not to like? I wonder how long it will be before Trump is able to brag that he has made the USA "braunemenschenfrei"! And as for justifying it by stating that they carry tuberculosis, God help us! -

It rather sounds as if MAGA has discovered some missing appendices from "Mein Kampf"! -
Labour Set to Win General Election Landslide, Exit Poll Indicates
herfiehandbag replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I am afraid that I am not particularly "au fait" with internet jargon, so am unsure what "gaslighting" is; however I never suggested that taxes had not risen, and would rise again, under the Tories, or indeed the Liberal Democrats. I simply don't see how Labour can begin to fulfill their spending plans/pledges without raising taxes, that's all. -

Didn't we elect our MEPs for years using proportional representation? Hang on a mo. That resulted in Farage and his (then party) winning the election! Silly idea, couldn't have that. Perhaps we should stick with that (virtually only) other shining example of "first past the post electoral democracy", the USA! -

Since their leader appears to be unable to define men and women, I look forward to them defining "working people". Of course taxes are going to rise, on everybody and everything! -

As, to be accurate, did the Afghans! -

I would rather agree. The US would be well advised to get close to Vietnam. Start with using Cam Ranh Bay naval base, troops and aviation exercising. -

Absolutely - costs about 10%! I understand that particular supermarket has big windows, so that they can see certain customers coming from a long way off!
