Ex-Footballer Ian Heddle Jailed for Child Abuse in Thailand

He would have to survive two years. -
It is remarkable, and a complete failure of basic security that these creatures were allowed/were able to get into the airport and as far as the departure boards of Terminal 5 carrying those adapted fire extinguishers. Some fine photo's of the police standing around doing nothing! Still, credit where credit is due - they managed to arrest Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson) under the Terrorism Act at the Channel Tunnel for, ermm, being an unpleasant individual (which he is)?

Where do you place yourself politically?
herfiehandbag replied to Hummin's topic in Political Soapbox
I can't decide whether I am a liberal conservative or a conservative liberal. And before anyone gets upset about UK party designations (I have no party loyalties), note I have written both with a small "c" and "l"! -
Piers Morgan was the editor of The Mirror, the UKs leading left leaning tabloid newspaper. In that role he ran stories alleging serial mistreatment of Iraqi civilians by British soldiers. The allegations were found to be untrue, and the accompanying photographic "evidence" proved to be faked. He was sacked as editor, but not before the false allegations ended several careers. Astonishingly (perhaps not) this dedicated left wing journalist then sold himself to Rupert Murdoch, for whom he now operates at Fox News and Sky Australia. Possibly it is believed that his "posh" old English first name brings class to both undertakings. "Private Eye", the renowned UK satirical political and news magazine, which gleefully takes the piss out of everyone (and which to my great joy I have discovered is available at a local local news stand) refers to him as "Piers Moron"!

The crack is audible to a person, if it passes close to him/her. It is nothing to do with any object. The shooter does not hear the crack, as the bullet does not pass him/her. One last time: when a bullet passes close to a person "down range" it produces a "crack". The "thump" is the sound made by the weapon being discharged. It is heard after the "crack", because the bullet is traveling faster than the speed of sound. You really have no idea what you are talking about, especially when you start wittering on about picket fences or mile long stretches of power cable poles! Enough, Endex!

British Army has only very recently raised a small unit which they have called Rangers. They exist to support the SAS, and are drawn largely from the Parachute Regiment. Prior to that we had (still do have) a number of Commandos, who provided Artillery, Engineer and Logistical support to the Royal Marine Commando force. I wasn't in them either.

I think dude is a Ranger, he knows what he is talking about... We already established that I was not a "Ranger", in fact you will recall you apologised for making such an unsubstantiated statement, along with equally silly suggestions that I was SIS or MI6; and yes I do know what I am talking about. I fully accept that Mr Trump was hit in the ear by something, which caused a very minor flesh wound, but it was not a bullet Anyway, the whole exchange has gone beyond a discussion, I afraid that you and your friend are trolling.

Rubbish. Anyone who has experienced bullets passing overhead will be aware of "crack and thump". The crack is the sound of the bullet passing close at greater than the speed of sound. The thump is the weapon firing. The reason that you hear the crack before the thump is because the bullet is traveling faster than the speed of sound. Any whizzing sound will be caused by a bullet which has impacted something and ricocheted off. I don't know what "whip-Dee-frik’n-doo" means, perhaps it is nonsense, like your post.

Outrage Sparked in Thailand Over Apple's 'Out of Office' Advert

1: phonics is the study of sounds used in languages. It is actually jolly useful in learning to speak tonal languages such as Thai. 2: Buses and Trains. I'm sure that Nae Hong Song airport is an absolute delight! Unfortunately it does not appear on Google. There is a Mae Hong Song airport, it is all in the phonics you see! 3: Chiang Rai airport is getting a bit tatty around the edges... -
Surely, that would be a politically motivated manipulation of the judicial system, and we all have been left in no doubt that Mr Trump absolutely abhors the idea of that - I am sure that I recall him declaiming that on the steps of a Manhattan court room, just after he had been convicted - of fraudulent use of electoral funds wasn't it?
