Overpass collapses in Lat Krabang, injuring many
Mr Meeseeks replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
So the Thai Police are qualified incident investigators? ???? I'm dubious that they hold recognised qualifications such as Kelvin Topset etc. As they evidently cannot deduce the causes of road traffic accidents, I very much doubt they are competent to handle something of this magnitude. My opinion only. Happy to be proved wrong. -

Why are the Police doing the incident investigation and not qualified and experienced HSE accident investigators? -
Don't want to incriminate themselves. Hoping it will quietly go away. I recently dealt with a situation like this, won't go into details, but when I made my move there was complete silence from the other parties involved. Not unexpected, it takes honesty and courage to be a man. You would hope they would feel a sense of shame, but I doubt they are thinking about anything other than saving their own skin.

To Thai top management, that is health and safety. All show and no go. All mouth and no trousers. As I have stated numerous times before, health and safety is a hindrance to earning profits in Thailand and thus is ignored, dismissed out of hand or treated as a secondary concern. If there are health and safety systems in place they are often impeded by poor management and supervision, incompetence, arrogance, and laziness. I've seen it first hand at a number of Thai companies. Top management telling field supervisors that they know better even though they don't have any experience of health and safety at any level. Thailand has to get serious about health and safety and start properly punishing companies that are negligent. In the UK the HSE would be all over this with millions of Pounds of fines and charges of corporate manslaughter. -
Yet you judge an entire segment of Thai people working in that industry? Ok then. In my 33 years of experience, those are the nicest Thai people that there are. Genuine people just trying to make a living. It's the ones with ambition, money, and connections that I have dealt with over the years, especially those in officialdom, that are the real danger.

Not surprising. When I went for offshore fire team training in Laem Chabang back in 2016, one of the other guys on the course spotted the fire extinguishers at the accommodation building we were staying in had not been checked for six months! To be honest you would have been better off throwing the extinguisher at the fire, given the state of it. This is an internationally approved training centre btw. ???? -

MFP Deputy Leader: Pita Has Enough Support from Senate
Mr Meeseeks replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News Headlines
I find it difficult to believe they will get enough senators to vote for Pita, but stranger things have happened. If Pita becomes PM the tanks will be getting fuelled up. Such disobedience from the hand picked senators will come at a price, and they know it too. -
Photos of your Grow in Thailand

Fugue State also by Mephisto. This auto grew about 1.4m in height and was bigger than most of the photos I was growing at the same time. Beautiful purple colours as you can see. No filters have been applied to these photos. All taken with my Sony a6600 and 7Artisans f2.8 60mm macro lens. -

Ravenberry by Mephisto Genetics on day 79. It was chopped the same day. Insane berry terps and sticky af. Mephisto's autos are right up there with some of the best photos as far as flavour and bag appeal imo. -
I flush my plants that are in coco and perlite for about 10 days before harvest. The plants have enough nutrients in them to finish themselves off. They will often exhibit a more dramatic colour change in late flower that will make some beautiful buds. I find the end product is a smoother smoke as well.

Back in the day, 20 or so years ago, overstay wasn't a big deal. You may have been deported but most likely a slap on the wrist and off to the border you went. Sign of the times that they now slap a 5 or 10 year ban on those caught. It was a much friendlier place back then, no denying that. A lot of this has to do with the quality of foreigners coming now. Budget travel has a lot to answer for.
