  1. I's common in Thailand for girls to 'make mistakes' when they are young. the father disappears and often the grandparents raise the child whilst the daughter carries on with her life and gets married, I have experience of this with my fiancé's extended family. The grandparents usually raise the child as their own sometime being called mother and father by the child. Perhaps this lady has no such support or her support has died
  2. Side effect of Cannabis is Paranoia and Schizophrenia. Paranoid Schizophrenics frequently kill people and do other harm against innocent victims. You need to read ALL the research not cherry pick. Cannabis users are frequently anti social and very noisy. When angry neighbours complain they often claim that the neighbour has been drinking because they don't touch alcohol and they think this will divert the authorities who investigate. There is evidence that the 'effect' of cannabis is what the user want's it to be many people try it and get stinking headaches or other detrimental effects to some people it seems to have no effect however the level of arousal (not sex) is raised in those people and they react strongly to external stimulus which often incites anger and violence in the cannabis user. Of course some people just fall asleep.
  3. Sometimes it's more about financial security. If the woman already had a child she may be hard pressed to support herself and the child, especially in today's covid climate. So she takes the risk and marries the man despite his aggressive qualities.
  4. Sorry I don't agree with your assessment of Cannabis. The major side effect of cannabis is Paranoia and schizophrenia especially in those people who smoke a lot of it. Cannabis addicts are known for their anti social behaviour especially with regards to noise because cannabis suppresses the perception of sound.
  5. I feel very sad to have to post such good news I desperately want to be accepted by the community but it is very difficult to maintain persistent negativity on everything Thai. I hope I will be forgiven eventually, community have mercy on me please. Unfortunately I have more good news her second vaccination is booked for 27th August 2021 (2 weeks time)
  6. A lot of scaremongering about vaccine efficacy. Yes Sinovac is only 50% effective against getting symptomatic Covid but it is 100% effective against getting serious life threatening symptoms and 100% effective against the need to be hospitalised for those symptoms. In other words its a 50/50 chance you MIGHT catch Covid but the symptoms won't be serious and you will not need hospitalisation i.e. no one dies who has been vaccinated. With the new variant there MIGHT be a higher 70% chance you will get an infection but again the symptoms won't be serious and no one dies. Remember that these are statistical studies if you still continue to take recommended precautions you may never see Covid It's the cherry picking of infection rates without quoting the other statistics (ie no deaths no hospitalisation) that is the basis of the insidious and dangerous Fake news
  7. My lady lives in a small village out in the sticks in Nong Khai province. She and her extended family have just received their first vaccination at a vaccination centre and all persons registered in her region have been invited to attend for vaccination immediately. A person can go to any vaccine centre in the region even outside their district. Many people attend but the queues are orderly and no one has been turned away. I don't think he is lying.
  8. I reckon he did act within the letter of the law but chose to ignore the spirit of the law. All laws can be 'interpreted' to a certain extent. He chose to manufacture an interpretation benefitting this scum. The man probably retired before he could be sacked for gross corruption so he could retain his pension rights which now cannot be touched.
  9. These fees seem very excessive My gym fee in the UK is £15 per month £180 per year. Air Con plenty of equipment (20 xrcise bikes, 20 running machines, stairmasters 2 or 3 of each weight machine plus loads of free weights .....) Thailand seems to be a very expensive place to get the services I take for granted in the UK

  11. I have said it before the beds are the wrong way round the foot of the bed should be touching not the bed Heads the bed heads should be at the corridor end. The heads of patients are less than 1 metre apart cross infection will run rife in this setup
