  1. Good old Martin Baker designed in northern Ireland produced throughout the world even the Russians copied it. Basically a series of explosive charges in a pipe attached to the back of your seat pilots have been known to lose 2 inches in height due to spinal compression. They have F5's? I used to work on F4's in the 70's. I think the latest model is the F35.
  2. Today one ofthe rarest turtles in the world washed up on a Welsh Beach 4000 miles from its usual waters Rare turtle washes up on UK beach 4,000 miles from home - BBC News If it hadn't been for the knowledge of turtle rareness that the public ha gained from publicity about turtles throughout the world her might not have been a turtle sanctuary in the uk to nurse it back o health
  3. Are the rail services even open in Thailand? The last reports I saw were that all interregional services were suspended. When I return I need to travel from Bangkok to Nong Khai, which used to be an overnight Pullman service. I have seen no reports whatsoever that these services have been reinstated. If there are no interregional serviced, how can there be international services and therefore why are they even considering a 'Hub'.
  4. Why not join them up and attach them to the existing road system, or is that not a complicated enough solution
  5. Huh...Its below zero here in Yorkshire UK and snowing right now, 17 degrees in my fiancé's region of Thailand and she complains about the cold and puts many layers of clothing on and she is wrapped up warmer than I am!????????
  6. Don't be quick to judge the pawnbroker. Thieves have to sell the goods somewhere, pawnbrokers are a logical choice, honest pawnbrokers take the goods then cooperate with the police to identify the individual. They are the ones who lose money on the deal since they usually cannot recoup their money from the thief (because s/he has already spent it). Dishonest pawnbrokers take the goods and tell the police they don't know anything about it. The police will have a good relationship with honest pawnbrokers which is probably how they cracked the case so quickly.
  7. Because until convicted by a court it has to be 'alleged' even if there is incontrovertible evidence, that is the rule of law. i.e. innocent until proven guilty (unless you are in France where the law requires you to prove your innocence i.e. guilty until proven innocent).
  8. Which begs the question do the RTP know where the daughter is, or if the daughter is alive? I hope they find her safe
  9. This is not really much different to the licencing laws that were prevalent in the UK until 1988 alcohol could not be served or bought between 3pm and 5pm (I think to make it difficult for schoolchildren to buy alcohol) and venues serving alcohol had to close by 11pm
  10. Irrelevant statement, women are also murdered Men are also murdered. 375 Transgender people murdered in one year, 87000 women in one year, usually killed by men, More than twice that amount of men murdered in one year. You are clutching at straws
  11. I think it was posted recently in this forum that he resigned because his Abbot was not 'promoted' for allowing him to continue he felt guilty so he resigned. However if he has a following he can actually make money in a similar way to the evangelical pundits in the USA
  12. I fully agree with you, they are men with cosmetic surgery (all the surgery is purely cosmetic because they cannot change their XY chromosomes to XX nor can they bear children), often with no surgery at all (still have their male tackle), demanding to use women's toilets and women's refuge's, dressing like women, trying to imitate women but acting like men bullying and dominating women because women state that there is a biological difference unfortunately they seem to have an unreal amount of influence in the UK and USA.
  13. Yes it does, hair colour can cause hair to fall out if the subject is sensitive that is why users are told to do a patch test before using any hair colourant. It is more likely that she used a hair colourant without testing than it being a side effect of vaccination. Hair loss has never been reported as a side effect of any of the vaccines produced in the past 2 years millions of people can't be wrong.
  14. Here's a suggestion. maybe the city fathers should concentrate on maintaining and improving the city's infrastructure, that is more likely to bring tourists who want to walk around and look at things and buy from local businesses rather than spend money within a luxury complex that they never leave other than travelling to and from the airport all the money going to the big international businesses who own the complex. Currently Pattaya is a ramshackle badly maintained city that is not family or tourist friendly and is not safe for pedestrians and a self contained development like this will not help the city one iota
  15. Good for her. She has assets and is using them constructively to get free advertising for her business and make a living. I do think a see through plastic apron would also be more useful to her in this endeavour.
  16. I fully agree there is just too much financial risk, Having a drink doesn't bother me personally but the lack of entertainment and limits on eating out with an effective curfew (i.e. everything is closed at night) is a big barrier to casual (i.e. where shall we go this year) tourists on a budget, who are the majority.
  17. It took my friend and his son 3 hours to complete the application for Thailand Pass so he can get back to his family. Does the Thai government really believe that casual tourists will spend hours jumping through hoops when there are many other warm sunny beaches in other countries which are easier to access and no weird regulations. I think it's a case of complex minds create unnecessarily complex solutions because they get promotion and jobs on the basis of navigating the complex politics. Simplicity frightens them they need the comfort blanket of complexity
  18. Death under torture is classed as murder in Thailand and many other countries. This applies whether there was intent to kill or not. The act of torture is in itself illegal thus any consequences must be dealt with as severely as possible.
  19. One thing we have to remember is that it was an honest policeman who posed this video after trying to complain to superiors with no success. I shows that at the sharp end there are many honest police officers the corruption lies in the management (just as happened in the red Bull Case) who override justice to protect the wealthy (and Jo Ferrari was wealthy)
  20. The insurance company knows that the family cannot afford up front legal fees to go into a court battle thus they have the upper hand I would guess that as soon as a court case is proposed they will capitulate and offer to pay the money but not the legal fees the family have paid to bring it to court.
  21. I read the headline as Free Moderna booster dose for over 70's pregnant women Amazing the difference a comma makes????
