Fine with me, but Thailand is not a ''highclass'' tourist destination, like Hawai, The Maldives or Bora Bora. It is an afordable destination for people with middle incomes. First, they need to talk proper english, people in the industry. Clear Bangkok of all rats. Establish hawker centers, like in Singapore.

Is it normal for a woman in her late 30's to completely miss 1 period and being late on the current one(which is supposed to come this weekend), after taking Plan B? Several pregnancy urine tests, taken more than 1 month after sexual intercourse and at least 1 week after the expected period, all came negative. Even 2 blood beta HCG test, latest one, performed last week, came with undetectable levels of HCG. Is USG advisable, just for piece of mind? If so, could someone tell more about prices?' Sheryl, are you there?

SURVEY: What effect will the Omicron variant have on Thailand?
drenddy replied to Scott's topic in Thailand News
It will return happyness to thai people. -
Deja-vu?? Same feeling and fear mongering with BoJo mutation, then Delta? I am sure virologists worldwide are excited, intrigued and extremely curious about this virus, they are like children in candy shop, however, I am not sure they are so scared about this mutation. But the press, the Governments and, of course, Big Pharma, use this situation at their benefits.

This summer the region of Andalusia offered free Covid health care to tourists, provided they booked an established hotel&BB. I mean, no SHA or AQ, you just needed not to stay at a private place, such as Airbnb. You won't see this kind of thinking in Thailand.

Thailand Pass Is Up And Running

Regarding QR codes. I first did screenshot from Corona passport app, scrapped them, but they were not approved by TP, which intrigued me, as the QR quality from the corona-app itself seemed very high. Then I decided to take a screenshot of QR codes from the vaccination certificate, scrapped them and they got accepted. OR 1 for 1st dose and, of course, QR 2 for 2nd dose. Then proceeded with the application and received instant approval. I think though, it's bit of an overkill this TP. -

Just applied for my wife, thai national. Instant approval. However...Her TP does not look like others around here..It has no issue/expire date. Only name, arrival date and thailand pass id. Is it because she is thai national or they updated/changed the appearance of TP? Later edit...Nevermind, I scanned TP QR code and all informations from the TP showed up, everything seems in order. Quite straightforward. -

Silly question regarding QR codes....How do you crop the QR code from the vaccine certificate, which is a PDF file, for best results? I mean, I did screenshot on the phone, then cropped the .jpeg file.Does it have to be without borders, I mean, no white areas around the code itself, so the QR code fits perfectly on the newly cropped photo? I can do it online as well. This is crazy. -

Lancaster works with Bumrungrad....In theory, if a thai national books test&go at Lancaster and tests positive, then Bumrungrad is obliged to admit the person, at no cost?Or their hospitel, should they have one...I understand Covid hospitalization is free of charge for thai nationals, but I find it hard to believe Bumrungrad Hospital will not try to evade admission. -

The Bazaar Hotel, where wife stayed last year, said, after contacting Piyavate Hospital for further explanations, that there is no mandatory quarantine for thais, who are close contacts to someone on the flight/transfer car(as it happened for few foreigners, their history described on the forum). As nobody knows for sure, I think it's safest to book Test&Go night at a designated (cheap) AQ, so one does not need to look around, in the unfortunate situation of being close contact to a positive passenger.Could just extend the booking for, I think, 6 days. -

Thanks, Sheryl. Do you know the guideline regarding quarantine for thai nationals arriving under test&go programme? If, let's say, it happens and wife does not want to stay at the AQ hotel booked for the initial night, can she choose a State facility? -

This week will apply for TP. Danish vaccine certificate. So, is it still wise to upload QR code from 2nd shot for both vaccines on the application? Regards. -

I wanted to book Lancaster Hotel for my wife (thai national), as they work with Bumrungrad Hospital. When asked about positive test and insurance cover(through thai social system), they said, mai mee sil, if admitted to hospital, have to pay...Wasn't Covid treatment free of charge for all thai citizens, regardless private or government hospital? Then I chekced The Bazaar Hotel, where she stayed last year in quarantine. When I asked them about the guideline regarding being a close contact and the need to be placed in quarantine, they didn't have even the the slightest clue...I told them, trust me, there have been cases(those mentioned here) where foreigners have been placed in mandatory quarantine after being close contacts... Nobody knows nothing, there is no clear guideline, nothing, nada, it is up to some incompetent, clueless lackey within the Health Department, should this exist... And I asked our travel insurer, who the heck covers mandatory quarantine, when you are not sick...Nobody. Regarding sharing transfer car.I will definetely ask for a private car, otherwise I will clearly point out, in case of someone in the car tests positive, the hotel is to be made accountable for quarantine costs. -

Does anybody know what happens to thai nationals, should they be tested positive at arrival or be close contact? Taken to hospital, regardless of symptoms? Hospitel? Isolation at home? I am trying to figure it out, nobody has a <deleted> clue..The hotel(Grande Sukumvit 55) has Sukumvit Hospital as partner and told me she(wife)will be taken to hospital, however, I find it difficult to believe she will be admitted to a private hospital, if she has no symptoms? -

I am thinking to apply for my thai wife.We don't know travel dates yet, but I just want to see, whether the system works, in case of urgent travel. So, you suggest to upload QR code after 2nd vaccination for both QR codes? Did you have hotel accomodation from agoda or directly from hotel? Can I use the booking reference from Agoda? -

Would it be a good idea to apply for Thailand Pass, without knowing flight dates? I mean...In order to make a ''test'', to see, whether I could meet some issue, in case of urgent travel. It's for thai national. It is mandatory to have secured a AQ/SHA+ booking, with confirmed paid&booked PCR tests, as part of the application? I think, I have read somewehere, that some got rejected, as they didn't have PCR tests booked in their hotel confirmation? Otherwise, everything is ready : jpeg files of both vaccines, jpeg files of QR codes, passport as well. -

Does anybody know...Can I just book SHA+ from a booking engine, than upload the booking confirmation? Or does it have to be a ''special'' confirmation from the Hotel?? I am thinking to book Swissotel Ratchada in Bangkok, which is SHA+. -
7,000 international arrivals due at Suvarnabhumi on Monday
drenddy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And with Thailand Pass up and running from Monday only, with a processing time up to 3 days, I wonder, how big the cluster<deleted> is? I know thais who blindly booked their flights with arrival day on November 1st...And they seem to believe everything is in order, all documentation needed is cleared...
